This is my first time reviewing a hotel. Before my trip, I read the reviews and felt pretty good about it, but I was also prepared for any 'surprises.'
I chose this hotel because its location right next to Leiyin Temple and Mingsha Mountain (Singing Sand Dunes) is convenient for kids to play.
I had booked a check-in for that afternoon, but my train arrived early at 6:30 AM. Since I planned to be out all day, I thought I'd drop off my luggage at the hotel and complete the check-in formalities first, so I could just head straight to my room upon my return in the afternoon.
As soon as the taxi pulled up to the hotel lobby entrance, a staff member came over to open the car door and offered to help with my luggage.
Upon entering the lobby, they immediately arranged an upgraded room and breakfast for us. They asked if we had eaten breakfast, and since I hadn't, they kindly provided complimentary breakfast vouchers for the day.
The room wasn't huge, but it had ample space. It was decorated in a Western Regions style and came with a humidifier. We could see the scenery outside from the window, and from a higher floor, you could directly see Mingsha Mountain in the distance.
The room also included complimentary specialty yogurt and a small camel figurine souvenir.
The 'Zhaixing Pavilion' (Star-Gazing Pavilion) on the fourth floor offers a view of the distant desert, and you can see the blue sky above.
Every staff member we encountered at the hotel greeted us with a smile.
My child loved it so much that we decided to extend our stay.
Because my child particularly liked the room key card, I asked during check-out if we could keep one as a souvenir. The staff member specially gave us one. (The room card was a rustic wooden piece with engraved patterns and the room number, and a tassel at the end – very unique and special.)
Overall, the experience was excellent. If I have the chance, I would choose to stay here again.

During my New Year's Day trip to Zhangye, I chose to stay at the Zhangye Puyue Hotel for two nights, and overall, the experience was great. Here are a few points I can share for future travelers:
1. The hotel is very close to Zhangye West Station, just about a 5-minute walk after exiting the station, which is very convenient. They also offer late check-out, allowing you to return to the hotel to pack your luggage after morning sightseeing, so you don't have to carry everything with you.
2. The hotel's living environment is good, with clean and tidy rooms. Despite the low outdoor temperatures in winter, the hotel's interior was warm and comfortable.
3. The staff at the front desk and restaurant were friendly. Check-in and answering questions were handled promptly and efficiently. They also provided useful information for our stay and exploration. In the mornings, when entering the restaurant, they would greet us warmly. The food selection included some Northwestern specialties, and the beef noodles were particularly delicious.
4. As for the city of Zhangye itself, all the attractions and scenic spots are quite unique. The mountain landscapes, canyons, and temples are distinct from those in the inland plains, and they are especially stunning and magnificent in winter. When I have time off work, I'd love to come back to experience Zhangye in summer or autumn, and I'll definitely stay at the Puyue Hotel again!

This hotel looked incredible! From top to bottom, it was clear that the designers took style seriously. The rooms gave off a sense of luxury that few other hotels in this process range have. The carpets, floors, doors, cabinets, beds etc. emitted a sense of tranquility, which made me feel very comfortable. Also, after travelling around China for nearly a month, I can say that this was by far the best breakfast I've had at roughly a dozen hotels. The staff were professional, everything was very clean, and the location could not have been better.
My only issues: there was no air conditioning, and my room was very hot at night. Additionally, when the rooms next to you are watching television, you can hear everything in your room.
I traveled with my father and booked two double rooms, both near the road, which were a bit noisy. We arrived at the restaurant at 7:30 am, and it was packed with people. There were no seats, so we had to make do with a bowl of noodles and come back later. When we went back, we had to show our meal tickets. Luckily, there were two of us, so we had four meal tickets for the two double rooms, otherwise we wouldn't have been able to have breakfast. The TV was out of service. The hotel was very clean and well-maintained. Overall, I think this is the best hotel in Xiahe. If you want a more comfortable stay, this hotel is quite good. It's not far to walk to Labrang Monastery. Parking is free at the hotel, so you don't need to drive to the scenic area's parking lot. The price-performance ratio is quite good.
It is a bit far from the city center, and there are few restaurants around. The hotel itself has good service and is very quiet. The snacks and red dates in the lobby are delicious, and there is plenty of mineral water. When you meet the aunt who cleans the room, she will take the initiative to say hello. There is a self-service laundry room, which is very convenient. We went to Qicai Danxia and Pingshan Lake Grand Canyon for two days, but the itinerary changed later, so we only stayed for one night. The hotel also has free pick-up and drop-off service, which must be booked in advance.
Hotel is very close and walking distance to the West entrance, which is less crowded and quiet than the East. The hotel is clean and the room is spacious. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Helped us with finding out the local bus schedule to Bingou and Kangle grassland and back to Zhangye and made sure we boarded the correct bus safely.
There are plenty of local food options along the main road as well.
Highly recommended to stay here for a Zhangye trip. Will definitely stay here when I return!

Can the mattress of Hilton Garden Inn be improved? The edge of the bed is always exposed, and the edge of the bed is a bit sharp. The child bumped into it once because of this reason.
The service staff in the restaurant is very good. There is a lady with glasses who closes the table in time. The restaurant manager is also very good and has a very kind smile.
The restaurant is also very delicious. The beef noodles in the northwest are really delicious! Very chewy, I like it!
There is a small noodle shop opposite the hotel (not the first Xu noodle shop, but a smaller noodle shop). There is a big plate of beef tripe noodles. I was shocked when it was served. Hahahaha, I have never seen noodles served in such a big plate. The uncle is also very nice. He also made a small bowl of non-spicy noodles for the child for free. I think the people in the northwest are so warm and simple!

This hotel is even highly praised by locals!
I specifically came to Dunhuang during the off-season to see the grotto sculptures and murals, and choosing the newly opened Four Points by Sheraton was absolutely the right decision. After standing in the caves all day, returning to my warm and comfortable hotel room in the evening was incredibly therapeutic. All the day's fatigue just melted away. There was plenty of drinking water in the room, and sitting in the soft chair to organize my thoughts on the day's sights was so relaxing!
The service from the front desk, housekeeping, and restaurant was excellent. Staff members I encountered anywhere would greet me with a smile, clearly indicating they were well-trained.
The underground parking garage is spacious and clean, making parking convenient. Just remember to scan a QR code at the front desk before you leave.
The airport shuttle service was great. The staff proactively helped with luggage, and as soon as my plane landed upon arrival, I immediately received a call from the pick-up staff. These small details really show the thoughtfulness of their service.

I took so many great photos during my stay at this hotel; it's really photogenic! The hotel has so much character, and the ambiance is amazing. I highly recommend it!
**Service:** The service was excellent. The front desk staff were warm, professional, and went above and beyond. Knowing we were on a road trip, they specially recommended local delicacies, sightseeing routes, and even some hidden photo spots in Jiayuguan. They also suggested a few hidden gem snack shops popular with locals – so thoughtful! Any requests we had during our stay were promptly met by the staff, who were always polite and never perfunctory. It really made us feel well taken care of.
**Environment:** The room had fantastic natural light, and the bedding was so comfortable I didn't want to get out of bed. The front desk mentioned the mattress was imported. At night, we could even watch the stars and moon from the room and took some pictures. The location is also excellent, super close to the food street, making it convenient for exploring and dining. It's also a short drive to the Jiayuguan scenic area.
The hotel is located on the main street and is very noisy with cars coming and going in the middle of the night. The coffee at check-in is a plus and the breakfast is also good. Of course, the hotel is only part of Longnan. The scenery in the city is more important. The Vientiane City is crowded with people, especially children. The scenery of the Yao Village along the river is pleasant.

GGuest UserWe were four friends living together. The whole room was very spacious, the decoration style was very nice, and there was a small balcony outside. It was also relatively quiet when sleeping. The service attitude was also great. The boss lady was very nice and made us coffee. The breakfast variety was also very rich. There were also many apricots in the yard. The boss lady picked a lot for us. They were delicious and we ate a lot. When we left, we went to eat, so we called a car ourselves. As a result, the driver of the car we called had a very bad attitude. The boss lady immediately called a brother to take us to the place where we ate, which provided us with full emotional value. It was great~!

GGuest UserWe were not impressed, especially for the price. We've stayed at hotels that are similarly priced and expected much better.
To be fair, the hotel itself is beautiful. The architecture, the room interiors, and the breakfast and drinks to get were all very nice.
However, the problems started at arrival. We were told the afternoon tea was cancelled and the restaurant was fully booked because of an event. No one told us this in advance, which was very disappointing.
The check-in was disorganized. The receptionist (who was also the manager) turned away to help someone else while I was still talking to her. She didn't give us our room keys, saying the bell boy would open the door. But when we got to the room, the bell boy had to walk all the way back to get the keys. The bell boys were actually very friendly and helpful—the only good part.
To make things stranger, the female manager called me a few hours after we checked out. She asked how the event affected our stay. I was busy and rushing around, and the call worried me—I thought I had left something behind. Asking for our opinion after we left was too late. They should have asked us during our stay, or better yet, informed us before we even arrived.
So, while the place is beautiful, the poor communication and service ruined the experience. We wouldn't stay here again for the price.

DDawson LottHonestly the service at this hotel is what made the trip! The brothers that own the place are extremely friendly and helped drive us around to everything from the sights to their food recommendations that were all delicious. Not to mention beer, fruit and other drinks are all included at the hotel free of charge! It’s also walking distance to the oasis. To any foreigner wanting to travel here, these guys make it so easy and stress free, it’s worth it for them, plus there’s a place to swim amongst the heat and great air conditioning. You can see the dunes from the roof of the hotel too, where there’s tables and chairs to relax for a drink. Would come again in a heart beat.

GGuest UserThe room has Tibetan-style wooden walls. The price is quite reasonable. In order to go to Labrang Monastery, I found many triple rooms. Some hotels with triple rooms nearby have public bathrooms. The heating in the room is very good. It is very warm to stay in winter. I forgot to take pictures of the hotel. The location is also easy to find

SSerena MandrileWe are an Italian family and we stayed at this hotel for around 10 days while we were fixing our motorhome in Zhangye. This hotel has the perfect position for us, near the beautiful and calm lake and with the city centre reachable with a short taxi drive. Our room at the ground floor had a private garden from which we enjoyed the sunshine every day, and my child was given a very cute camping tent that she loved to play with. One of the buildings in the hotel is a very nice restaurant that we enjoyed twice. Last but not least, the staff was so kind to us every day and extremely helpful with lot of things like ordering delivery food or receiving packages - as we don’t speak any Chinese at all, this was a blessing for us.
