Hello, I would like to report a serious issue with my booking at Victoria Inn Penang. When we arrived, there was no front desk at the hotel. We were instructed to walk to Victoria Garden Hotel to complete the check-in and then return again to Victoria Inn. This process was very inconvenient and was not clearly stated during booking. After entering the room, we also noticed several problems: - Only one power socket available in the room - Only one room key card provided - Door lock does not feel secure - Very limited facilities Because of these issues, our stay experience does not match the expected hotel standard. I have attached photos for your review. Could you please assist to review this situation and advise if compensation or another solution is possible? Thank you.

OK, admittedly i didn’t pay too much, and thank God for that, cause it was very small room, with nothing worth writing about. Needing to give people a honest review, this is a budget ‘inn’. Arrived 1am, there was a security guard who took me to the hotel next door which was very nice, to check in. Had to leave a cash deposit. Room bed & pillow were acceptable, but everything else was what I paid for, low standard. For such a little street (corner) there was always many cars and being on 2nd floor, noise kept me awake, cars and people shouting or laughing, even early hours (1,2,3am). Best part, it’s near cafe for morning breakfast ‘Black Kettle’ and the famous Halal friendly restaurant; ‘Kapitan’ - open 23hrs hahaha!!

In general, the location is good, and the room and place clean. It will be great if hotel can provide hair dryer in the room or on loan basis. There are many good, tasty local food nearby, and also cultural history and building as shown in the attached photos.

The room was clean and tidy, and the lampshade on the bed was beautiful. The hotel's location is excellent, making it incredibly convenient to visit attractions and not far from the night market. There are also plenty of great food options nearby.

Great location, just under 7 mins walk from the ferry station. It was also in the heart of George Town so super easy to get around without needing to grab a ride within the city. For the price, the rooms were decent and fairly big, but a struggle to get hot water or get the shower cap working right, and my sink was clogged so would take a while for the water to drain. Overall, it’s a great location and stay for the hotel

One area I’d appreciate the hotel’s support with is the nighttime noise disturbance. There have been groups of teenagers gathering near the hotel at night, parking their motorcycles with engines running and speaking loudly for extended periods. For example, last night the noise continued until around 11 PM, which is close to bedtime. I kindly ask the hotel to look into this matter and help manage the situation to ensure a more peaceful environment for guests to rest. That said, I’d also like to highlight some of the hotel’s strengths. One of the key advantages is its location—conveniently close to many tourist attractions. Most importantly, the hotel offers excellent value for money. While the room size and bathroom amenities are modest, they are consistent with the affordable pricing, making it a fair and pleasant stay overal
