The century-old building in George Town has poor sound insulation. The facilities are not complete, but the service is very good. The scenic spots and restaurants introduced by the hotel staff are all delicious.

Beautiful hotel, nice staff, but unfortunately it is not being maintained. Facilities are not i good condition (e g. Pool has hanging light), indoor sofa is moldy and stained, outdoor shutters are peeled off, doors don't close well, birds constantly inside the lobby entrance which from a cleanliness standing is not great Cleanliness of the rooms was subpar. Staff broke a perfume bottle while cleaning and did not report it - found out from left over glass shard and strong smell of perfume...). Such a shame as this hotel could be fantastic and the staff was nothing but helpful. However big investment needs to be made in upkeeping and training. Without this, i think it should be removed from the small luxury hotels group/website.

The location is diagonally opposite Penang Blue House. It is in a key location. It is understandable that the cost is not affordable. However, the room is really too small. I went to bed three steps after opening the door for the first time. Although the bathroom is larger than usual and clean and fresh, there is only one transparent The bright window is behind the bathroom mirror, which I believe faces the swimming pool. It cannot be opened, but the sound of children playing noisily can be heard! Personally, I have always disliked windowless hotel rooms. … What is commendable is that there is a 24-hour lounge for residents, where you can enjoy simple drinks and snacks, and a glass of red and white table wine is given at 6pm! In addition, the staff are very enthusiastic to help, no matter introducing the environment, or recommending nearby attractions and restaurants! Thank you so much!

The best customer service

The property is well-situated and comfortable. My only criticism concerns the noise from music at neighbouring entertainment venues at night.

This is an absolute gem in Penang. It's a stunning converted mansion full of history and charm. Even better, it's a great location- we walked everywhere we wanted to get to within 25 minutes of the property. But the real amazing thing was the staff. Everyone was so kind and accommodating. They took time to sit down with us and create an itinerary to experience George Town in our short stay, had restaurant recommendations to experience local cuisine, and an amazing lounge with complimentary juices and snacks. It's easily one of the, if not the, best experiences I've had with hotel staff anywhere. If you're staying in Pengang, this is the place.

Friendly and helpful staff, good quality amenities provided. Food market nearby with 3 mins walk. Convenient store nearby with 5 mins walk. But wifi and hot water supply in room are not stable.

The hotel is reasonably small so you get personal service. It is located in a convenient location for restaurants and an easy walk into town. The facilities were very good and the staff were extremely helpful. Nothing was too much effort. A great place to stay in an interesting town.

The hotel is too old. To be honest, it is no longer suitable to continue operating. When I stayed at the hotel at two o'clock in the morning, I encountered someone climbing through the window. I was so scared that I woke up and couldn't sleep. The sound insulation was also very poor. I could hear the snoring next door. I checked out the next day and the hotel did not provide any compensation. It was so scary. It's an old hotel. It's actually very shady and feels very evil. It's recommended that you don't stay there.

This is my second time stay at The Edison. I love it so much. The room, facilities and especially the hospitality. It feels like staying at your own home. Will definitely repeat again.
