The room looks good and clean and the bathroom is spacious. These are the positive things Big problem is the KTV on the 4th floor that can be heard in all rooms at night until the early morning. The wifi is very slow even for chinese websites. The breakfast is a bad joke. When we arrived we were greeted with 2 big baskets of dirty tableware standing right at the entrance. There was no coffee, no tea, no drinks at all, all empty and we arrived just after 9am. Staff does not care at all and tables are cleared with dirty cloth which just spreads dirt and germs. Food choice and quality is poor. Toaster just for decoration and most items look like they are older than one day. Offering no breakfast at all would have been the better choice. It is hard to understand how this hotel gets any good comments at all cause you will not be able to sleep well. The good rating is most likely done by the hotel itself. They seem to know the whole situation as earplugs are placed near the bed. I cannot sleep with earplugs. Not recommended at all, also since the price is not cheap.

We stayed 17 nights there. The hotel room was cleaned daily, We would drop our linen every few days and they'd makeup our beds with new ones. A spacious room, digital lights, curtains and toilet (cleaners could do a better clean) Air conditioning worked well. We noticed if you turn it off and back on, it will reset to the required temperature. Coffee machine downstairs at reception was handy. We got to know the friendly staff. Laundry on the next floor was great. Very close to metro. Use a translator app at reception. Massage, nails, dentist and hairdressers right there. Evening Tai Chi and aerobics at the park just down the road was fun to participate and the locals make you feel welcome. Especially after dinner to work off the pounds. Lovely Amd friendly community. We didn't see a single foreigner or New Zealander during our stay which didn't bother us.. You can also use Didi (Uber) to get around Guangzhou if you want to avoid metro. Its cheap. Link your Wise card to WeChat and your away. Other than the poor breakfast, This hotel is great for long term stays for couple or single travellers. We will stay here everytime we come back to Guangzhou. Thank you for your hospitality.
