Barcelonès Hotels with Gym

What a lovely hotel, the crews from their morning breakfast service to the reception, are really excellent and they make you feel welcome and appreciated. They got us a nice little upgrade to our rooms which is a nice gesture. We stayed there for 4 nights and certainly enjoyed our stay. Quite the view from the rooftop bar, and location is truly the gem. Located on the Main Street, good security and walking distance to many places of interest in the City centre of Barcelona. I can’t recommend this hotel enough! 💙

The room was exactly as shown on the booking page. What you see is what you get. Toiletries and disposable slippers were also provided. We arrived late on our first day and didn't have time to buy water, so the hotel gave us a bottle, which was very nice! We booked a standard double room, but it had a small balcony overlooking the pool and outdoor restaurant. The view was lovely. The security was also very good; nothing was lost during our several nights. We also noticed that the automatic door at the entrance was manually controlled by the front desk, so unauthorized people wouldn't be able to get in.

We stayed at the Derby Hotel for four nights in Barcelona and I would definitely recommend it. The hotel's location is super convenient, yet it's on a quiet street. The staff were generally easy to communicate with, which is what you'd expect from a well-established hotel. Throughout this trip, I've felt that while Europe heavily relies on tourism, there's often a lack of professionalism in the industry. Paris was decent, but in Lisbon, the hotel staff we encountered were mostly new and irresponsible, couldn't understand English, and had poor hygiene standards. So, it was a huge relief to finally encounter communicative staff at the Derby Hotel, which made our tiring trip much more comfortable. A special shout-out to the check-in staff who were incredibly thoughtful; they proactively merged our separate bookings and upgraded our room, saving us the hassle of changing rooms midway through our stay. (P.S. While we did encounter one unfriendly staff member one night, I believe that was an isolated incident and not representative of the hotel's overall standard.)

The reception staff were exceptionally warm and welcoming, which made our stay feel very comfortable from the moment we arrived. We also truly loved the rooms—they were beautiful, well-maintained, and added a lot to the overall experience. The team was generally very helpful and attentive throughout our stay. However, there was one small disappointment. I had requested a birthday arrangement for my husband on three separate occasions, but unfortunately, I did not receive any response. I completely understand that such requests are not always guaranteed, but it would have been appreciated to at least receive a reply or update.  Overall, we had a lovely stay, and with a bit more communication on special requests, the experience could have been perfect.

I stayed for 3 nights on my trip to Barcelona. This hotel is incredibly convenient, directly connected to Sants Station, offering excellent access from the airport and serving several metro lines. It was a great help to find staff at the front desk who spoke Japanese. The room was clean and spacious, and I was very satisfied with the shower pressure. It was a very pleasant stay.

The room was quite spacious; my friend and I had no problem opening up both our suitcases. The water pressure in the bathroom was excellent, making showers and hair washing quite comfortable. The location is pretty good too – a bit far from the subway but there's a bus stop right outside. It's super convenient for getting to Casa Milà, Casa Batlló, and Sagrada Família. The area feels safe, with plenty of food and drink options nearby. The staff were very friendly and spoke English fluently, so communication was a breeze. However, there were a few issues. Firstly, there was no shower curtain for the bathtub, so the bathroom floor was soaked every time we showered, and it got quite chilly after a while. Secondly, the duvet didn't have a proper cover; instead, two sheets were used above and below it, and all three layers were tucked in so tightly under the mattress by the staff that we had to struggle to pull the duvet out every night. We ended up asking the front desk not to make our beds for the rest of our stay. Though, I hear this duvet cover situation might be common in Europe. Lastly, the soundproofing was really poor. We were lucky our neighbors weren't too noisy, and my friend and I aren't particularly sensitive to sound, but you could honestly hear every little thing happening next door. All in all, it was a mixed bag, but for the price and location, we couldn't really expect much more.

This was my second stay in the hotel. The reception staff was friendly and helpful, David treated us fantastically and gave us two great rooms in a high floor facing the sea and Montjuic mount, where luckily that same night there were fireworks. The rooms were big and very original, the same unique feeling as the whole building that you cannot find in too many hotels. The roof top bar and swimming pool are excellent to chill and admire the beauty of the city. The gym is a bit compact but enough for a workout, and it has a small indoor pool to relax. But the breakfast was for me the highlight. The service was impeccable, preparing coffee for you on demand, and the variety of fruits, cold cuts and different dishes was so good that our breakfast lasted close to one hour. I will go again for sure!

After a lot of deliberation and some safety concerns, I finally booked this place, and it was absolutely fantastic! The location is super convenient, really close to the subway. The residential area is clean and safe, and there's a supermarket right across the street, which was incredibly handy for getting food. The biggest surprise was booking a room with a terrace – totally worth it! Every evening, I'd enjoy a drink on the terrace while taking in the mountain views. Such a lovely experience, and amazing value for money!

It was a very clean accommodation and plenty of towels were provided. It was a little inconvenient because laundry was done in a shared facility on the 5th floor, and I was a little disappointed that they assigned me a room with a rear view without even asking how many rooms had a view of the Sagrada. There is a rest area and a pool on the rooftop, so it would be nice when the weather is nice. The location is far from major tourist attractions, so it's a bit inconvenient to take the subway every day, so if I had to do it again, I think I'd pick it near Plaza Catalunya.

The environment here is great, and each room has a small balcony. It's very clean, and there's a gym and a pool. The rooms are spotless, and the front desk service is excellent. If you're looking for a good night's sleep after a day out, this is a great choice.
