We spent two days here whilst on a trip to Berlin. We are a family of five from the UK. The children are 10, 13 and 16. We stayed on site in a cottage and paid for an all inclusive with breakfast and dinner in restaurant on site. Firstly the positives - the area was huge, the pools are lovely and the flumes ok - it wasn't that busy, and quieter on the Friday and become busier on the Saturday. We had chosen a weekend when the German schools were not on holiday we didn't stay on the Sunday as we wanted to catch a few things in Berlin before we left. - the enclosed area has a nice lot of greenery including flamingos and a butterfly house - the staff were really helpful and we felt safe and looked after A lot of staff spoke English - the shuttle bus from station and cottage worked well but was sometimes busy and could do with being more often at busy times -the flumes were good and the children particularly liked the white water rapids - the flumes are not many and a section was closed off which meant more people using the other flumes - the indoor flumes were a little tame for my two teenagers and too few to make for a varied day - smoking was allowed outside which meant the outside area sometimes wasn't great - the food at the buffet which was included wasn't great and there are other restaurants which we couldn't experience - there were always loungers if you looked around -the check in took around an hour - there is definitely a glow problem with check in and learning how things work. Why on earth we had to queue to check in and then again to leave luggage and then again to get locker fob from 3 different places, also again to collect towels and these queues had to be repeated to drop these things back. -deposits are taken for everything including glasses from restaurants and bars. This was not made clear when we got glasses. Luckily we realised before we left them on the tables. -the ashless fob system works well - the cottage was tiny and cooking would have been a struggle. - we didn't find anywhere to buy food to use in the cottage but we didn't look very hard - the mosquitos were quite active outside On balance I would recommend a trip for families but be thoughtful about when you book to have quieter visits and be realistic about what it is

We stayed at Alexanderplatz and used our train pass to travel to Tropical Island... this was a long winded process... not to do with the location itself. Typically for a tourist trap massive ques to get in. Very German efficient locker rooms and payment bands 😀 water slides and facilities were good and plenty of staff on hand. Underwhelming compared to other parks we've been too. Plenty of food and drink variety and not ridiculously priced. Deposit refund for returned plastic cups was good! Approx 35 euro spends per person whilst inside, this covered food and drink. We are a family 2 adults and 2 kids 8 and 12 at the time.

We booked two rooms for 2 nights: 450€ for 1 child 1 adult and 670€ for 2 adults. The booking information provided a list of things that are "included". My problem is that when you say "included" in implies that they have been payed for in advance so you don't need to pay for them again/extra. Some of the things marketed as included were the Amazon area and Tropino Childrens club. The Amazon is for free for everyone who has entrance ticket (so it's just empty marketing) the childrens club entrance is also free for everyone but when you want to do any of the activities (mini golf, battery car rides, air hockey etc) you still need to pay for them regardless of what ticket or package you have - so.. what exactly is included if you need to pay extra for everything? Also the beds are very uncomfortable and hard, a mere quarter of the information inside is translated to English and the staff can't help you because they don't understand english either.. Imo the food is overpriced for its quality. But there are some positive things too. There are a lot of things to do for kids and the waterslides are fun. In conclusion - i don't recommend staying the night. It's cheaper and makes more sense to go early in the morning, bring you own food (even tho they say it's not allowed for "safety reasons" - I say it to make money), stay for one full day until 00 and leave. Personally I'm most disappointed for the false advertisement and the fact that everything is to make money - they don't even give you tap water for free or include drinks in the all you can eat buffet..

Overall, I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the apartment and park. Upon arrival, I noticed that there was no shower gel provided, and the soap next to the sink was submerged in water, making it unusable. Additionally, I was surprised to find that there was no coffee machine in the room as advertised. Furthermore, the condition of the shower was subpar, as it appeared to be damaged. These issues collectively contributed to a less than satisfactory experience during my stay. Given the price paid for the accommodation, I expected a higher level of cleanliness and amenities. Among other things, the cleanliness of the entire park was very poor, and I would say that the ubiquitous litter and the number of people did not inspire confidence that you are taking good care of the Tropical Island park. I hope you find this feedback helpful to think about accomodation in TP and for management to improve the quality of services for future guests.

A disappointment: we went with 3 teenagers on a night ticket on Tuesday. Upon arrival all the attractions our teenagers were looking forward to were already closed! No information about this when we bought the night ticket! It should be clearly stated when you buy these tickets that Amazonia is closed, the waterslides are closed and the only thing that is opened are 2 of the smaller pools. It is also not stated if you read the website on the "opening hours"- it says all year around opened in general. Asking the staff in tropical islands what is opened and what we could do they just shrugged their shoulders and said that they don't know. Would not recommend it! The two pools were overcrowded since they where the only ones open.

Where I can start. Photos made from good angles, in fact, the sum of the water surface is equal with 4 classic swimming pools at least during winter. Lagoon, Sud see, and outsise Lazy river. That's all. Staying 1-2 days max , after that, boring. The number of people is not limited, so the place is obviously overcrowded, therefore not secure . Additional fact on security: we saw 3 arrests during 2 days by police in the waterpark. The quality of the water is the lowest I have experienced. For example: hair in the water, sand etc. In the Lagoon, there is no shower option or paddle / to wash your feet before you go the pool/ so everyone wash their feet/flip-flop/ swimming suits into the pool directly. If not come early morning, there is no way that you find a sunbed, for people who stay overnight no reserved option even if you paid for stay a fortune. The place advertised that they have free WIFI, which is not true!! WIFI is only available inside of the water park and nothing in the holiday homes. Also, because the place was a bit far from everything, mobil coverage was also poor. During our stay, no cleaning service was performed at all on our premises. There was no microwave in Amazonia house, so heating for us was a struggle . We paid for half board, which was avarage and after 2 days boring. Price was acceptable, but the majority of the staff were rude and didn't speak English . No one wanted to solve issues , accountability just does not exist. We had to leave after 2 days, paid for 5 nights, and not even asked what the issue and how they could help . I wrote a complaint 2 weeks ago, but there has been no answer yet! Update : on English phoneline they start play recorded message in German, snd after 3 minutes they said they are overloaded with calls and system dropp you!! Unacceptable, i am looking for legal steps!!If you don't want to throw your money through a window, do not visit! I am not recommended at all!! Trip typeHoliday · Family Rooms5.0Service1.0Location4.0 Hotel highlightsQuiet RoomsAmazonia : well equipped, outside of the Dome, far on foot /1,5km-2km/, no microwave no Wifi!! SafetyWe did not ourselves safe because of the crowd and also because police were everyday guests, arrested 3 people during our short stay WalkabilityThe park has on shuttle bus, but this is not available in Amazonia houses. Parking in front of the Dome is payable, only option is daly fee!!@ So come to have breakfast/dinner if that is longer than 30 minutes / it is, always/ is a daily parkjng fee. Once you are out , you can not go back with the same ticket. Food & drinksFoid were avarage, drink is overrated, hut because of 32 degree celsius anf 78% humidity, you always thirsty. You are not allowed to bring drinks/ food inside, but we saw lots of people did.

I rented a cabin at Tropical Island. If you, like me, are visiting for the first time, be prepared that no one will explain how things work and you will be confused as to why your chip does not work on the locker (answer: you need a different, special chip), that parking is paid for you, and that there are some credits (which I found out about upon departure). The cabin doesn't even have basic soap. All this is greatly spoiled by the fact that there is almost no service staff anywhere. And you have to stand in a long line for information just to figure something out. The second issue is the sheer number of people. It's not just crowded; it's incredibly crowded. You will constantly be standing in lines (to get a drink or to pay upon departure). The saunas can be completely packed, you have to search for a free lounger, and during peak times, you may have to share a table at the restaurant. I understand they need to make money, but this is too much. You'll only be able to relax in the sauna just before closing on weekdays. I won't go back.

Place is fantastic for kids unfortunatly customer service not very good. staff not very friendly, have two seperate bookings in both I requested baby cot we never get it. checking 1h waiting ... I travel alone with 2 small children 1yr & 3yr I got room on third floor without lift (while bottom floors rooms where empty) any contact with staff endup with sending me somewhere else or to go outside and queue again to reception. Maybe 20% of staff speak english. we where inform about deposit on plastic cups for beverages (3,6€ each) on the last night of the stay, we probably spend 300€ on those just becouse no one let us know about it. Only friendly staff where 2 polish girls in games area! Place is really fantastic but customer service is really really bad I dont even remember when last time I did have such a bad experience!!! Also good job life guards in all pools they always there and they see everything that really make me feel safe!

The worst experience ever. I was there with my family and the room was not clean and the shower kabinet was moldy and the room full of Cockroaches and when i complained they told me it's normal and these Cockroaches belong to the place and it's not allowed to kill them and that is written in the website?!!!!!! We stayed 4 days really scared and we couldn't sleep and my kids 11,6 and 3 years old were very scared.. if so they should keep them in the forest NOT in the customer's rooooooms with kids and babies. Everyone knows that Cockroaches can be harmful to children's health by touch and cause diseases to them. Instead of a fun time for the kids, it was a scary time for them..
