It doesn't quite live up to the photos, but it offers great value for money.
**Hygiene:** The toilet had a slight smell, a minor issue.
**Location:** It's very close to the popular 'Train Street', just a 5-minute walk. There are plenty of food options and convenience stores nearby, plus banks for currency exchange. The location is fantastic!
**Service:** A staff member greeted us and spoke excellent Chinese, helping us with addresses and getting a taxi. The front desk was also staffed late into the night, which was great.
**Facilities:** The breakfast was varied and plentiful, and the restaurant/bar area had a great atmosphere. There's even a sky bar on the rooftop. While a little pricey, it was still acceptable.

Great location, right in the middle of the old quarter. Lots of eateries and shops around the area. Very convenient to access and to go all popular places, like the train street, Dong Xuan Market, Hoan Kiem Lake etc. Right beside the hotel, there is a tik tok popular dessert shop.
Hotel staff, Anna and Peter, are professional, helpful and friendly. They will assist you in booking Grab, arrange restaurant reservation. They will guide you where to go for good food and spa too :).
Price is decent and you couldn't be asking for more.
#1 Price:
I have stayed in many locations in old town because I like to move around and experience different settings.
At this price point; this hotel by far (after 3 different hotels) is the best choice for your hard earned money.
Location: Excellent;
25 seconds walk from lake and close to all the attractions of old town.
Really doesn’t get any better than this.
Room: Everything works.
-Large New smart TV with Netflix and YouTube
-Fast WiFi/internet (can remote work)
-(High ceiling and spacious)
(I’m 5’8 ;see photos for reference)
Many hotels around the area cut corners and make their rooms small and ceilings low to save space which can make you feel claustrophobic after a day or two.
“Very important after a day out in old town with all the tight spaces / crowds and chaos.”
-(Barely any street noise inside room; I’m sensitive to noise and slept like a baby)
-Room cleaned everyday by staff.
+Bonus points for the versatile lighting inside room; 8 different switches for different lighting options.
((Hotel Staff)) Available 24 hours
Young and eager to help; very knowledgeable speaking many different languages and knows the town very well.
(Don’t underestimate these young men and women.)
I have never seen such hard working young individuals who have no other intention but to help you have the best stay at this establishment.
(Special shout out) to “Denny” who ran out in the pouring rain to help me find my car ride to the airport because we were running late.
Conclusion;
Stop wasting time reading this review and book this hotel before the rooms are all taken; I was lucky to find a room since they’re mostly always booked.

The hotel totally surprised us with a free upgrade to a spacious 3-bedroom apartment! It had everything we needed, including a washer and dryer. The receptionist and bell boy were super friendly and helpful. Checking out was a breeze too.
Just a heads up, the hotel doesn’t provide toothbrush, shaving kit, or cotton pads. You might need to ask the receptionist if you need them.

The hotel contacted me on WhatsApp before our stay to offer tours to other cities since they’re also a travel agency. We didn’t reply, but when we arrived after a long flight, instead of checking us in right away, the staff still tried to sell us some tours. I didn’t really mind, but I was tired and wouldn’t book anything last minute anyway.
The elevator is quite slow, and even with it, you still have to go down one flight of stairs to reach your room. As soon as we opened the door, there was a strong unpleasant smell. The staff said it was because they had just cleaned and suggested we leave the door open for several minutes — not ideal when all you want to do is rest.
They provide complimentary water, coffee, and tea, and breakfast is included. However, the breakfast spread is the same every day, and the bread is already pre-toasted, so it’s cold by the time you get to the small dining area. If you come down late, there’s usually not much food left.
Basic toiletries like towels, toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, and shampoo are provided. The bathroom has a bidet, but the shower’s water pressure is quite weak.
Note that the hotel is **not accessible by car** — taxis will drop you off nearby, and you’ll have to walk a bit and find your way via Google Maps. The location is very central, just a one-minute walk to St. Joseph’s Cathedral and surrounded by many restaurants, cafés, and spas. It may look a bit sketchy at first, but this seems typical for the Old Quarter area.
Soundproofing is poor — you can hear noise from the street and even from the next room. Some balusters on the staircase are coming loose, and there were red hairs in the shower area, which suggests it wasn’t thoroughly cleaned. The facilities overall feel quite old.
If you’re particular about cleanliness and comfort, this hotel might not meet your expectations. But if you just need a cheap, central place to crash for a night or two, it’s manageable.

I was really pleased with this accommodation – everything was thought out to the smallest detail. From the cozy room to the cleanliness and beautiful atmosphere, everything was perfect. The location is very convenient, so I could easily get to all the interesting places. But what I appreciate the most is the attitude of the staff – a sincere smile and willingness to help whenever I needed it. It is a place I would happily return to on my next visit to Vietnam.

The hotel staff was very kind and friendly. The location was perfect. It’s in the Old Quarter area, which is the central part of Hanoi. There was an outdoor swimming pool and sauna. We used the sauna, it was great and relaxing. Room was clean and comfy. Food was very tasty.

The hotel experience was very pleasant and seamless. The property is well-maintained and clean, despite being located in a busy city near a road. Inside the rooms, acoustic glass ensures a quiet and comfortable environment. Guests benefit from thoughtful amenities, including a free water dispenser, complimentary bathroom supplies, and a buffet-style breakfast and brunch. The hotel staff were kind and considerate, maintaining communication through a messaging application and even providing day-accurate information on city traffic to help plan our departure. Overall, the stay was very comfortable, the rooms were clean, and the service was attentive, contributing to a highly satisfying experience

A very comfortable and affordable hostel near the old quarter and the train street. Very helpful and friendly staff. They provide towel, sleepers and locker keys with a refundable deposit. Make sure to take your own shampoo and soap.

I loved my stay! The room was spacious and very clean, with a comfortable bed and all the amenities. The common area is cozy, with futons, sofas, tables, chairs and pool table. The breakfast was good and the service was very friendly. The location is also excellent, on one of the main streets of the old quarter. I highly recommend it!

Amazing
GGuest UserPerfect little touch for my husband’s birthday. The staffs were accommodating and very professional. Reception was great too. We arrived about 8pm and we didn’t have to wait long before the Check in process was completed, was ushered to a relaxing and comfortable room soon after. The room is spacious and basic amenities was there. I definitely enjoyed the pool but the jacuzzi has not been working for the entire time of my stay. There was no attendant to ask questions too though.
Overall stay was comfortable. Breakfast was great such a lovely spread.

Great
GGuest UserThe room simply looked cute.
Even the lighting design was cute when I lay down in bed.
The hallways and lobby were also cute.
I stayed in a Superior Single room for three nights after Independence Day in September as a single woman.
The Superior Single room has twin beds and an exterior window.
The view outside the window isn't spectacular, but it does give you a glimpse into the attics of the houses in the old town.
I didn't see any other Japanese guests.
The front desk staff were very hospitable.
After check-out on the fourth day, they stored my luggage for me until my night flight, and they also let me use the bathroom on the first floor and an outlet to charge my smartphone.
They were patient with my poor English, and whenever I emailed them from the room, they replied promptly and clearly.
My room was pleasantly prepared every day.
As a new hotel, I was worried about being bitten by tropical insects, as I didn't have any experience, but even though there were no screens, I only saw two small gnats-like creatures. Maybe I brought them in from outside. There was no unpleasant smell.
Two small bottles of water were provided free of charge.
The following were slightly different from what I expected:
- This was an area of the Old Town with particularly heavy morning and evening rush hours. This street is mainly lined with hardware stores.
- There was no security deposit box in the room.
- Staff said they could look after my suitcase, but I locked it away.
- There was no toilet paper holder.
- The hotel itself had no dining options.
- There was a small cafe across the street, so that wasn't a problem.
- No conditioner.
- The room had a window facing the hallway, so I could see into my room from the hallway.
- There were curtains that could be closed.
- The hallway was stylish with an open ceiling, but it could be noisy at times unless all the rooms were quiet.
- Earplugs were enough to keep it quiet.
EElaineN.The hotel staff were genuinely some of the best I've ever encountered in all my travels, and their customer service and service recovery is top notch.
Unfortunately, the breakfast and housekeeping team can be better. Breakfast crew was rude when asked about food offerings and the housekeeping team mistakenly entered the wrong room(s) multiple times. They also make quite a loud of noise by the corridor and disturbed guests staying there since the walls were very thin.

GGuest UserStayed here for 1 night and honestly, it was better than I expected. The room was super clean and the bed was really comfy—slept like a baby every night. The staff were all super nice and made me feel welcome from the start. I also loved how quiet the place was, even though it’s right near the city center. Location was great too. If you're looking for a chill and hassle-free place to stay, this is it. I’d totally stay here again.
