Super 8 by Wyndham Roanoke VA

Great location for our trip! We were within 5 miles of our destination. The hotel allows smoking still which for us is not great to walk smelly hallways. The room decor was nice, but the mirrors were smudged and the lamps really dusty. Microwave and mini fridge work, but no coffee maker. The property is old, but for our couples night in Roanoke it served its purpose. Waffle House is next door and that was great the morning of checkout! Overall we would stay again all we needed is a bed and a shower. 2.5 of 5 stars. Needs work and better staff at front desk.

There was no coffee makers in the room. I had to go back to the front desk to get extra towels. Because there's only one towel, One wash rag, & a floor towel. The towels were dingy and dirty. There was hair still in the bathtub and in the sink of the bathroom. The toilet had black Rings all the way around it, with hair. I had to clean the entire bathroom just to be able to take a shower. The water that came out of the shower was brown. The bed didn't look like the sheets had been changed for a while, did not look like it had been vacuumed.The refrigerator was dirty, and the heat didn't work correctly. I will never stay there again. Other than my daughter being in for a dr apt. I would appreciate a discount or 1night stay for wed 3/2023- my birthday or fri 3/22/24 - daughter is coming in for a dentist appt

I have stayed in super 8s several times but this place is horrible staff is horrible I showed up at 5pm and my room wasn’t ready the place smell like they smoke in the lobby tried to cancel my stay and couldn’t get a refund witch I didn’t care wasn’t staying there anyways would have rather stayed in my vehicle than there.

Upon arrival I was informed that I would need to pay a cash deposit of 100 dollars before being allowed to check in, even though my reservation was already paid in full. Luckily I had the cash on hand. Overall impression of the property was shabby and repairs were needed in some areas. Room was acceptable but worn, discovered refrigerator did not work after storing left over Dominos pizza which was soaked with water and not cold. First night could not find clerk for a blanket. Room not serviced no towels , trash not removed. Was informed by clerk serviced needed to be requested which I did for next day. Told clerk I requested service for room before leaving and still no service or towels, trash still there from first night. This was a most disappointing stay, and would not stay at this location again. Have stayed at your properties before and this was the first time I received poor service.

I don't expect much from roadside motels, but this room was in in terrible repair: gap in the wall by the heating/AC unit that allowed a breeze in; warped door such that the bolt did not work; only chair in the room was crooked. Front desk staff person was cheerful and pleasant. Next time through the area I plan to pass this one by.

Room was quite and comfortable. Only thing I didn't care for was the unexpected $100.00 cash deposit.

Backdoor lock was broken. After trying the key multiple times I found the light never changed from red. Check in lady did not think to tell me until I had already made a trip back around hotel to find out that I would need to do just pull the handle. It made me nervous knowing the building could be entered by anyone.

The best part about our stay was the check out. Room was disgusting. Hadn't been vacuumed! Stuff from previous people laying beside bed, refrigerator did not work. Lmao shades yellow and had holes in them.remote had no battery's and they was "out" of battery's. Breakfast wasn't prepar d well at all and the check in

Cold coffee, no one at desk in am, asked for working air dryer for 3 days, said we will find one , then 3rd day said no! Worked outside with wet hair. No juice or water for tea for breakfast.
