Great
LLingzhiguoThis hotel is located just outside a one-kilometer tunnel from downtown San Francisco. Once you pass through the tunnel, you're in Chinatown, making it a quiet retreat nestled near the bustling area. There's ample parking, and a vintage elevator makes it easy to transport luggage. The surrounding area is safe, with a supermarket just 150 meters away offering fruits, vegetables, and daily necessities at reasonable prices. The hotel rooms are spacious, with separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom. The air conditioning can be a bit noisy, which is a common issue with motels in the US. While there are windows, they face the corridor, so it's practically like having no windows, but the AC provides good air circulation. The beds are large, the room is spacious, and the bathroom is huge with excellent shower pressure. It's very clean. The free parking is a huge plus. I'd definitely stay here again if I rent a car for my next trip. It was perfect for three of us, with two beds that are both 1.5 meters wide, though the beds are a bit high due to the thick mattresses.

GGuest UserVery expensive for a B&B. Nice spot in the Castro/ Mission district near Dolores Park. Well-maintained & reasonable management. Lots of stairs to go up into main house lobby — wrought iron gates with intercom to buzz to get entry into property. Try to get a room in the older main house to minimize stairs! No AC. They have limited parking spots behind the two B&B houses (access from Dorland St) for US$35./day plus tax which is a steep price. Make sure u book a parking spot in advance. Beautiful garden courtyard in the back. Sadly we never got to use it. Try to get a room that faces the other “house” or the backyard - quieter. We had a front room Deluxe King Room 36 which looked nothing like the sample room photos (only one Room 24 w courtyard view, sofa, coffee table). We got a smaller room approx 290sf vs what we paid for 32sq.m, 344sf, no closet just small armoire to hang a couple of things, no sofa, no coffee table, no balcony. They were kind enough to give us a refund for the price difference between the Deluxe King we booked & the Standard King we got. Had to ask for them to vacuum room. Found tissue under headboard/bed, dusty. Not the kind of room you would want to spend much time in —teeny tiny TV, faced front noisy street with electric bus passing by. No screens in windows so had to close windows at night to keep critters out. Bed was ok. Pillows were synthetic & lumpy. View was of electric lines & school across the street. Beware some electric outlets. One was burnt out. Breakfast was repetitive but nice to eat in a lovely breakfast room or outdoor deck. Hard-boiled eggs, muesli, fruit, muffins/ carbs, American coffee, juices. Fortunately SPRO café was next door if you need a great cappuccino or chai latté! Didn’t get a chance to enjoy their wine & cheese. Contact them on WhatsApp +1 (415) 297-6891 to discuss rooms available.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel rooms are newly renovated and are clean. The free parking at the hotel saves a lot of parking fees for self-driving. We checked out the next day and parked the car at the hotel. After the tour, we drove to the next city. When checking in, the Indian guy at the front desk played a Chinese note on the computer, and there was also a Chinese paper version of the note and the itinerary for San Francisco for you, which felt very considerate.

WwanderabbitThe inn is in a safe and quiet part of town near the marina, with several major landmarks within walking distance. Reception was always friendly & helpful, even late at night. They were around to assist with finding parking lots when it got crowded. They also handled package deliveries in an organized and efficient manner. Our only complaint was the carpet in the room was perpetually cold and wet throughout our stay due to the air con leaking, and the wetness extended over half the room. We called about this but was told it's normal. However we were able to overlook this by wearing shoes in the room. Otherwise, we had a great stay here!

DDALIMotel, the facilities are relatively old, but very complete, to catch up with the hottest days in California, the air conditioning works. There is a refrigerator and microwave, you can solve it yourself early. The second Polk Street through Van Ness Street has supermarkets, pharmacies and many restaurants, as well as Chinese food. About 1 mile to the sea, and the same distance west along Broadway, you can reach Fortress Park, a little further from the bart station, and there are buses at the door. Overall good

Bbdawwg 017Was an excellent location to Fisherman's Wharf. Hotel was very secure and comfortable. Showing it's age and there's a few things that are overlooked in terms of cleanliness but I'm in the business and have an eye for these things. Didn't bother us though. Room seemed updated and the fans were appreciated as there's no A/C. Great proximity to all the things. Walked to Golden Gate bridge and the Alcatraz Pier. There was construction the day we arrived in a room close to us, but workers were very polite and apologetic and finished the noise around 5pm. Didn't continue the next day so that was nice and we slept in. Over-all was a good stay.

BBufan2028I chose this youth hostel because it has a kitchen, a great location, and a good price. It's also not far from Chinatown, so I can easily buy Chinese groceries and cook my own meals. The room was decent, but there was some noise from the outdoor air conditioning unit. If you're a light sleeper, you'll definitely need earplugs.

SSanFranDaveUnion was the right price in the very right location, and wonderful people running the place as well. Toilet & washroom were in the hallway, but that was OK with me, as I've traveled extensively outside the West, and done that regularly. BART access is nearly doorstep, which was a top priority - loved it! Location is right at the ”Burrito Triangle”, with lots of other food available, too, so dining is easy. Their complimentary coffee is strong & fresh, but since DIY was permitted, I brought my civet coffee & fill-yourself K-cups. Good place to stay!

JJINThere is a parking lot but you need to pay. It feels quite expensive even if the tax is more than $25. The room is not big but enough for 2 people, free coffee for 24 hours is not bad, breakfast is short of bread and some snacks

GGuest UserGo read about the history of the famous Utah Saloon build more than 100 years ago. This facility is operated by an Indian immigrant family and the hallways have a pleasant smell of incense. Pay attention to the shared washroom detail — each floor has one shower and washroom to share. This wasn’t an issue during my stay. The music bar and restaurant on first floor are great with some local performers. Red line train to Chinatown is right across the stress very convenient. Whole foods market also just a block away. As with a lot of SF — there are street people in tents in the neighborhood which can make some travelers anxious — but remember they are not hostile and are a problem all over the city. Overall I had a great experience in this historical hotel. it’s also useful to note they accept a variety of cards visa, MS, china Unionpay, etc.
