Amazing
The room was huge, and from Kaga Station take the bus and get off at Yamashiro West Exit, then walk for 5 minutes. The dinner was excellent and great value.

Huazi is about a 25-minute drive from Kaga Onsen Station. The hotel will send an email to inquire about the arrival time and provide free pick-up. My last hotel was Jixiangting, which is a 5-minute walk away. I wandered around Yamanaka Onsen from the time I checked out at 11am to the time I checked in at 2pm. April 6th was the season when cherry blossoms and camellias were in full bloom, so there were very few tourists. Residents and children greeted me warmly when they saw me. This place is not as busy as Yamashiro Onsen, and there is not much business. There is a wood and lacquerware exhibition hall where you can visit and shop, and the prices are reasonable. Hua Zi has a minimalist style and the amenities are also minimalist. There is nothing simpler than it at this price. Two bottles of water, a bag of tea and a bag of coffee, only a small sample of treatment, and a welcome tea when checking in, this is all you can get for free. No 24 hour tea and coffee at Kissing Pavilion, no happy hour, no muffins, puddings, no morning snacks (not bad quality, not shoddy), no geisha shows, none of that. Different styles are understandable. There were staff members waiting for guests at the service door. When the shuttle bus left, four staff members bowed and waved for at least two minutes. When I checked in, the staff brought out an iPad to show the Japanese and Western-style rooms with baths, which could be upgraded for a fee. I booked a basic Japanese-style room. I have stayed in more than a hundred hotels in Japan, and only three of them recommended paid room upgrades during check-in: Kyoto Okura Bettei, Hyatt Regency Okinawa, and this one. The first two said that upgrading would provide better service, and asked if I needed it. This hotel asked directly, I didn’t upgrade. First, I wanted to stay and I booked it directly. Second, if I wanted to upgrade, I would ask you. The Japanese-Western style is indeed very high-end, as you don’t have to sleep on the floor. Later I thought it would be a good idea to upgrade, which would cost nearly a thousand dollars more. The staff member took the timetable of Kaga Onsen Station and asked about the drop-off time. I said please call a taxi for me to the next hotel, the time is tomorrow at 11 o'clock and the name of the next hotel. The hotel understood what I said, and she got stuck. She called someone who seemed to be making tea and asked me in a stiff manner where I was from. Then the translator asked me if I took an Uber myself? I don't understand why I say ”by myself” when I type it myself. I arrived on time at 6 o'clock for the dinner appointment. The rhythm was not good, and I had to wait for two to be served at the same time. The dishes were seasoned with high-level flavors but a little simple. I ordered a Western breakfast, which was very delicious, first-class standard, and the service was even more enthusiastic. All facilities have been renovated and are very neat and clean, but the air conditioning is loud and ineffective. Japanese style windows for light transmission, wear eye mask and ear plugs to sleep. Those who like Shinichiro Ogata's style can move in. The aesthetics are very high-end.

Regardless, we proactively requested not to prefer to eat beef for religious reasons. However, I was still informed that the hotel policy cannot make any adjustments for anyone. What a joke that you can have more rice! Is this a policy for human beings? Another interesting fact to note is that there is no additional food order option, even if you want to select food options, as long as you are willing to pay for them. What a brand! Overall, I would not recommend anyone with a food allergy, as it may cause an unwelcome experience during your stay. I stayed for 2 nights and had a total of 4 meals for USD 1,400+. I don't think it's worth the money.

Perfect for a stay and two meals. The hotel's aesthetics are online, the traditional and exquisite interior decoration and the very clean and comfortable private hot spring bath allowed us to have a good rest on the last day of this trip. The Japanese dinner was freshly seasoned and very tasty. I was informed at the last minute that I couldn't eat fish, and I was very considerate enough to change the menu. In addition, the soul of a traditional Japanese hotel is definitely the female general. The two female generals are elegant, talkative, and very approachable. Awesome experience!

Excellent onsen hotel in quiet yet popular location .. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Taiku drums nightly show was fun and great draw for families with kids. We stayed on a very busy weekend and hotel’s breakfast and dinner were fully booked. NTL the hotels casual restaurant was very good, menu and price wise; also excellent location to see the drum show . Easy walking distance (5-10 minutes) to Main Street of Yamashiro, tho not in middle of it. Free drinks and snacks in lounge very pleasant. Free shuttle bus to KagaOnsen station is popular . Most thankful to hotel’s customers service in answering a few requests we made within 24 hours prior to check-in. Except for meals which were fully booked , they catered for our requests, and with prompt emails communication. Would highly recommend hotel Rurikoh , when visiting Yamashiro.
