Hot Spring Hotels in Noboribetsu

March 23, 2026 Three days in advance, I emailed the hotel to add king crab and steak to my booking. We had a great time at Date Jidaimura until just before closing, then took a cash-only bus to Noboribetsu Onsen Station. We arrived around 5:30 PM. Upon entering the lobby, we had to take off our shoes. The elderly gentleman at the front desk helped us check in and carried our luggage to the room, explaining the facilities along the way. We had dinner at 6:00 PM. We had to choose one dish from a few options, and we picked the local grilled fish. The fish meat was flaky white, very fragrant, and went perfectly with rice. The added steak was tender and springy, and the king crab legs had a slight briny taste, but the meat was very delicate. Coming here was mainly about soaking in the Noboribetsu hot springs and enjoying good food – a purely relaxing night. The next day, after checking out, we immediately caught the pre-booked direct Donan bus back to Sapporo. Before leaving, I bought a copper hammer charm from the Noboribetsu Onsen demon's hand at the hotel as a souvenir, haha. I also received a birthday card that the hotel had left for me in advance. It was a very satisfying hot spring birthday trip!

For us it is the second time in this beautiful hotel and we are happy to have returned. Everything is made to make you fully experience the atmosphere of the place and the attention to detail is maximum: each floor is adorned and embellished with vases of fragrant fresh flowers every day (Japanese lilies specifically and roses); the staff is very welcoming and takes care of you with extreme attention to all your needs and desires; the food is of excellent quality and very varied and in the hotel you can find everything (drink machines, souvenir shop, games room and much more)! Hotel Name: 登別Boudoir Noguchi Noboribetsu ”Love our stay.” The room was impeccably clean, serene, and beautifully appointed, providing the perfect traditional atmosphere. The highlight, beyond the relaxing onsen itself, was the incredible food—each meal was a masterpiece of kaiseki cuisine, using fresh, local ingredients. The attention to detail and gracious service made our stay truly special. We left feeling completely rejuvenated and can't wait to return.” (”The in room Onsen and the outdoor bath with a view of the garden was heavenly.”). Though a bit old, it's very clean. The buffet is generous and the hot springs are comfortable. It's located right across from the bus terminal, and just a few minutes' walk to Jigokudani (Hell Valley). Great value for money, convenient transportation, and excellent service.

I lived in Noboribetsu and this atrium, and I still prefer this one. If I go to Noboribetsu next time, I will stay there again. On the mountain Noboribetsu, pick-up service at 2:00 and 4:00 pm (pick-up at JR station) is available after booking with the hotel. The hotel is good, just don't like their public slippers (woven straw uppers). If you don't wear socks, you will feel a little sticky, but so is the flower atrium. The open-air style of the house is very good. It is relatively large. You can take a look at the snow on the pine trees while soaking in the hot spring. It feels very natural and much stronger than the open-air style of the flower atrium. I ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel, but it was really bad. This may be my own problem. I am not used to eating. The ice cream at the kiosk downstairs is delicious, you buy it every day, and it's easy to buy water. There is a small park in front of the hotel, the snow is very thick, you can play with snow, and there is no one. It is clean and very comfortable. A 15-minute walk from the hotel is the Noboribetsu ski resort. It is very convenient to play snow and there are very few people. In short, it is quite satisfactory.
