This is an amazing place to stay for all traveler types. You can travel here solo or with family/friends. Upon arrival, I was checked into my room. Jimmy (the owner) gave a warm welcome along with a gift. The room was comfortable and clean. It even had a balcony where you can sit and overlook the whole city. Jimmy and his staff are very kind. They provided excellent service, and the breakfast was tasty and nutritious. The city doesn’t have the best transportation, but Jimmy was kind enough to drive me into the city and pick me up whenever I was finished. When I checked out, I was given a box of tea—a wonderful gift for the upcoming Chinese New Year. All in all, I would rate this place a 12/10. It’s not only a place to stay, but it made me feel right at home. The plus side is the cute dog, Ao Hua. She is friendly and playful.

The owner and staffs are very warm and friendly, do let them know when you are coming. The boss is very nice and send me to Hua Lien Train station. The stay is very spacious and they provide sumptuous and healthy breakfast. There's a cute dog also (: The stay is at a hill, so if can, do buy something back in case you are hungry. It's been a great stay!(:

It is such a perfect spot with wonderful staff. They are dedicated to make your stay a memorable one. The food was amazing. They even give you gifts and will if you are tired, they will make sure you have a nice dinner on the house. I would recommend this place to everyone that comes to Hualein. The owner is so committed and kind. He would gladly offer rides to and from the train station and help you with anything you need. Perfect stay. Clean as well. Just wonderful and outstanding!

Host was very friendly and welcoming. He drove us around city area and recommended us local places to eat which is alot cheaper and nicer. Have a cute and nice dog to play with there, ah hua😅 Room was clean, neat and nice, HUMONGOUS, with wonderful views. The host even cooked breakfast for us and gave us gifts upon arrival 🥲 Had a good chat with him on how i can modify my mini cooper but after that i realised it is not legal in singapore 🤦♂️ Highly recommended and would return back there if i am back at hua lien. U may even get free room upgrades if there is availability🫣

I would like to commend the owner for being generous and never forget his promise to the filipina that helped him in his business. Thank you so much, we enjoyed our stay and we slept very well. Great host and all the staff are incredibly helpful and generous. They even drove to the station to bring me my hat which i had left in my room by accident. The view is great and food portions are large. Room is spacious and clean. Best hotel I stayed in in Taiwan.

This amazing mountainside bed and breakfast is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Our room had a spectacular view of the city and a nice porch. I later found out the owner had upgraded us to the best room for free since it was empty. Incredible hotel and customer service! We arrived tired after hiking around Toroko Gorge and didn’t want to get a taxi to go to the city to get food. We were going to eat some bread we had with us, but they made us a big pot of delicious noodle soup and didn’t charge us anything! Breakfast was yummy traditional ********* food. They also let us do laundry there for free. The owner gave me his phone number and offered to drive us into town whenever we needed. He said he likes to welcome his guests like friends who are visiting from out of town. My daughter loved playing with the hotel dog, Ahua, and kittens. Just walking around the hotel, you can enjoy fresh mountain air and beautiful scenery. What an incredible stay. So much cheaper and more relaxing than Taipei. I am telling all my friends. I can’t wait to come back!

great city view with ********* breakfast

Fabulous stay. Love the quiet, serene ambience although there are sounds of dogs and animals which is common in nature. The host, Mr Zhang is so warm and helpful that we felt treated like old friends coming for a visit. There is a dog and many cats in the house but non threatening. They make themselves scarce, somehow if guests are afraid of them. As the BnB is up on the mountain, it’s easier to get around if there a car. The host goes out of his way to help and provide advice on where to go and how to get there. Perfect host! The only room with twin beds is the family room for four. The other room is spacious to with king or queen beds. A good place for a retreat.

Good experience for one night there

This is the best and most satisfying place I have ever stayed in when traveling! No doubt about it! The boss is very nice and humane. When my friend and I arrived in Hualien, he picked us up at the station and drove us wherever we wanted to go. On the first night in Hualien, he also sent us to the night market and introduced the local situation in Hualien. He would pick us up after we finished shopping. Not only that, the boss really arranged everything very well. We just need to have fun happily. We have never traveled so worry-free hahahaha! The boss will also give suggestions on Hualien tourism, so don't worry! Hualien is really very beautiful. The East Coast Line, Qixingtan, and several night markets all show the leisurely life here and the beauty of the scenery. The view of our room is very good. You can see the city of Hualien and the sea from the window. As shown in the picture on the other side, there are lush trees. Draw the curtains, and the whole room is full of green, which makes people feel very comfortable. Not only breakfast, we also had two dinners on the first floor. The boss felt that we two girls were away from home, so he took special care of us and asked us to cook for us. Breakfast and dinner were delicious, home-cooked dishes, and very comfortable to eat. These days, the boss picked us up every day, and it felt like returning home! The boss also has a dog named Ahua, and we all like her. Ahua is a very well-behaved and cute little girl. She will greet us at the door when we go back at night. Every time we see her, we will touch her🤣 In short, Hualien is a very beautiful place, and Yunding B&B is also very good. I strongly recommend everyone to stay in Yunding! ! (You can see my mood after typing so many exclamation marks!) Finally, the night view of Yunding is very beautiful, and the starry sky of Hualien is also very beautiful!

Thank you very much to the boss for providing such a rich breakfast and a great accommodation experience. The strong human touch. Watching the stars in the sky at night and watching the sun rise is a rare experience. Thank you very much.

The boss is really, really nice. Because I was coughing badly in the car when I was picked up at the hotel, the boss drove me to the clinic at the foot of the mountain at night. I was so touched. I think the B&Bs I met in Taipei and Hualien are all very, very good. After I came back, the boss asked the aunt to cook noodles for me, saying that it is not good to take medicine on an empty stomach. The boss also upgraded the room for free and gave me a big bag of tea as a small gift. The boss is really very attentive to running the hotel. And he is really super, super nice to mainlanders. There was an earthquake the next day, and the boss sent my luggage to the next hotel. It’s a pity that I didn’t see Taroko. I’ll come again next time. Hualien is really beautiful!
