Even though it's an older hotel, the service is truly excellent. Especially Candy Shen from the restaurant – she saw we were a family, and specially brought yogurt and fruit for the kids, along with a lovely elephant toy. My child was so happy! A big shout out to her.

The Dusit Thani Sandalwood Double Bay Resort has a strong Thai vibe. You can step right out to a private beach from downstairs, which is super convenient for playing in the waves and digging in the sand. The 31st-floor infinity pool is great for photos, and the outdoor children's water park has plenty of facilities, so kids have a blast playing in the sand and water. The hotel also has a huge indoor children's castle park, which kids love so much they don't want to leave. The sea-view rooms offer excellent views, and bathing on the balcony is very relaxing. The service is warm and welcoming, making it a top choice for family holidays.

The room was clean and well-equipped with mosquito repellent patches, eye masks, and disposable bath bags – a really nice touch. The balcony view was great, you could only see the sea and the pool downstairs.

I was a bit nervous after reading some reviews before coming, but I found it to be quite good when I arrived. The room I was given faced the sea, which was very comfortable. The service was also decent. The door to the utility room across from my room was always open, and there was a garbage smell, but they handled it well after I reported it. The pool is quite large and pretty good. There are many restaurants around the hotel, which is very convenient.

This is an absolutely fantastic Thai-style five-star hotel, a great alternative to Sanya. First off, the rooms are excellent, with a super-wide 2.6-meter bed. The meticulous details throughout, especially the large bathtub on the balcony, truly stand out: a milk bath with a sea view during the day, and a flower bath watching fireworks at night – it instantly maximizes the vacation vibe! Special mention to Lynn Cai from housekeeping for her warm and thoughtful service. Secondly, the facilities are comprehensive, with plenty to eat and do. There are three restaurants (buffet, executive lounge, Asian kitchen) on-site, and right outside the hotel, you'll find other restaurants, a supermarket, McDonald's, and 7-Eleven – super convenient! On the second day, while dining at the buffet restaurant, Ms. YOYO's service was incredibly friendly, absolutely surpassing the service I've experienced in various six-star hotels. For entertainment, there are five pools alone (an infinity pool on the 31st floor; and on the first floor, another infinity pool, a submarine-themed pool, and a large leisure pool that can be divided into three swimming areas). Plus, there's archery, shooting, a cinema, and other recreational activities. It’s truly a one-stop vacation! I can honestly say that it's because of Dusit Thani that I wanted to come to Huizhou Shuangyue Bay for a holiday.

The family room had a great environment, with direct sea views. However, as the hotel is a bit older, there was a slight smell in the bathroom, but it was tolerable. The hotel's buffet dinner and breakfast were both good, and the staff were very patient and kind ❤️. We encountered rainy weather during our May Day trip, so we couldn't enjoy the water park. We look forward to making up for this遗憾 (missed experience) next time.

Facilities: Outdated. Cleanliness: Average, it's my first time seeing a faded red bathrobe. Ambiance: The overall environment is decent, but the room definitely isn't worth 1700+. Service: Absolutely no service. Good for kids to play in the water, but I wouldn't recommend it for anything else.

Hygiene: The room was clean and dry, quite spacious, making for a comfortable stay. Environment: The sea view was unbeatable. Restaurants nearby were convenient, the beach was free of litter, and the hotel restaurant was clean and tidy. Service: The staff were warm and attentive, offering a free room upgrade, and their service was prompt and excellent.

The hotel facilities are excellent; we spent a long time enjoying the pools. The room had an amazing view. Housekeeping supervisor Cai Gue'e provided excellent service, bringing us plenty of towels. We arrived late on May Day due to several hours of traffic, and the front desk agent, Taozi, kindly helped us arrange a late check-out for the next day, which we really appreciated.

There were so many people staying here for the May Day holiday. Since it's by the sea, the humidity was really high, and the blankets and pillows in the room were all damp. But it wasn't even that hot, so turning on the air conditioning made it feel really cold. The kids' play area had questionable hygiene, and I have no idea what they were serving for breakfast – the quality was terrible, all pre-made with very limited options. I won't be coming back.

This hotel is very family-friendly, but it's quite old and the facilities are a bit dated. The room service staff were excellent and even gave toys to the kids. The buffet was just okay, especially the restaurant on the 31st floor – the manager there was really stern.

The room is spacious, with a balcony directly facing the east beach, offering an unbeatable sea view. The beach is just 50 meters downstairs. The hotel amenities are comprehensive, so you can pretty much eat, drink, and have fun without leaving the premises. The archery included with the booking was a lot of fun. It would be perfect if the balcony chairs could be replaced with loungers!

1. I'm giving full marks for service thanks to the front desk staff, especially Xiao Ye, who gave us a room with the best view, and the technician who fixed our fridge. They were wonderful! 2. There were cockroaches in the room, and the bathtub was a bit dirty (which I understand is probably due to sand blown in from the beach). 3. Can a hotel that allows smoking in its public sports facilities (like the rooftop pool) really be called five-star? I was choked by smoke while swimming, and when I asked the staff, I just got an unapologetic reply that smoking was permitted. 4. I was genuinely amused and annoyed when fireworks were still being set off at 3 AM on a beach that's supposed to have a fireworks ban. 5. The incredibly long coastline and the city skyline view from the window are indeed breathtaking – no complaints there. 6. If the hotel's Thai restaurant isn't serving pre-made food, then all I can say is they must have worked really hard to make it taste even worse than pre-made food. I don't recommend dining at the hotel or right outside it; I suggest going to restaurants on certain review platforms' lists nearby instead.
