OoxhGreat location! The staff was very helpful and even came down personally to the gate to help us carry our luggage to the accommodation. They also provided us with a map and a detailed explanation to guide us around fenghuanggucheng. The place is clean and tidy. Really appreciate the service provided and had a really good experience! Definitely would be coming by again.

AAshleyThis city is beautiful on the water, but beware of mosquitoes!
I personally would stay no more than one night. You pay for the great location - right on the river and by all the hustle and bustle. The party does not stop at 10pm - I swear it was loud outside until 2am and you definitely hear it.
The room we chose (with a large patio) was extremely small and cramped. We couldn't enjoy our patio during the summer because there were so many mosquitoes at the door. We left a mosquito-repellant incense at the patio door and that helped a little, but we didn't dare having tea outside like we originally wanted.
The hotel also didn't feel secure. Our room was by the back door, which stayed open for most hours of the day. It was very convenient to get to our room, but the open door felt like a safety hazard. They said that they would close it at midnight, but that is too late for my comfort.
Service was okay at best. They tried contacting us before we arrived but we don't have a Chinese phone number. Responses through WeChat were a bit slow during some hours, and sometimes the front desk was empty. Perhaps we were just unlucky. The morning we left, the manager lady seemed the most competent and warm, but everyone else was a bit lackluster.
The room is old, and the bathroom has rusting metal. Toiletries were at least covered the essentials. No welcome snacks, but at least there were two bottles of water. Is it bad for us to expect more at the price we're paying? Among all the high end hotels we stayed at during our trip at this price point, this was the least impressive by far. The hotel pictures felt misleading on terms of quality and cleanliness.

SStephanieThe staff were great at this hotel! They were waiting for us at the taxi drop off point, and helped carry our heavy luggage. They were so friendly and helpful, giving advice for the local area, offering hot milk in the evening and organising our taxi on departure.
The hotel room was also great! The room was spacious, thanks to a free upgrade. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were fantastic!
The balcony view was amazing. The location is a little further from the main area, but it is a nice stroll to get there after always eating too much. Thanks so much for a great stay, would recommend and stay again .

Cleanliness is ok, the shower a bit moldy. The bed is weirdly shaped (round?) but bog enough for two people.
The balcony is amazing. But it seems that almost all hotels have the same concept of balconies.
Front desk does not speak english, but with translation it is manageable.

Just practically bad design of the water flow where water is trapped with nowhere to go. Still long flight of steps from the entrance where cab drop us. I booked this place as saw some good reviews in Chinese say they went in hotel before decide and pay after comparing for few hotels so I pick this room instead but it is not value for money. I rather pay more for another hotel closer to the road. The whole ancient city is practically hard to travel if you have heavy luggage. Cab is also private only so it makes price not standardize.
I give 3 stars which is good service as they help me to carry the luggage up the stairs when I leave the place, the balcony is okay but it is beside stream so lots of mosquito / bugs.

Ccarlos castenadaperfect location. our balcony was on the shady side of the river near the bridge and shops. friendly knowledgeable staff greeted us at the street then helped with our luggage to the hotel, which is an easy 1 block walk from the street. balcony overlooks the boat ride on the river, which lights up beautifully at night. more live music and singers per square block than anywhere west of Shanghai! (i'm a light sleeper, so i use white noise and ear plugs. all the music ended by 11 PM). endless hanfu rentals, shops, eateries, as well as historic artifacts to explore. one of the most intriguing water towns i've ever experienced. maybe even better than Venice. Fenghuang has the water, history, and fun, but not the massive tourist influx and is on a more human scale.

YYaoshinengdazhejiuhaoleB&B is more suitable for traveling with family. The room I booked is divided into two small rooms, sharing a large balcony. There are observation decks on the third and fourth floors of the B&B. The room is clean and dormitory, but the smell of humidity cannot be avoided due to environmental reasons, but I had a good rest. . Boss business is booming✌️

CclevercakeThis time we visited various scenic spots in seven or eight cities. Phoenix was the one we looked forward to the most, especially this inn that we carefully selected. In fact, I was a little worried before coming here, after all, everyone dissed a lot about the inns in Fenghuang Ancient Town. When you actually move in, all these worries disappear! (All pictures are taken inside the house and on the balcony)
The boss is really nice! Young and passionate! This was my first impression. Once I entered the inn, I was simply amazed! The ethnic-style room is clean and tidy, especially the floor-to-ceiling windows on both sides! It’s so amazing! You can see the Rainbow Bridge in the distance while lying on the bed. Next to it is the Snow Bridge. It is so bright when the lights are turned on at night!
In the evening, the boss's family came to visit and also invited me, a outsider, to dine with them. I tasted the aunties' authentic Changsha dishes and we all had a great time chatting!
Because it is close to the river, sitting on the balcony with the door open, you even feel like you are on the river. You don't have to squeeze in the surging crowd downstairs. You can sit on the balcony hanging chair, enjoy the evening breeze, drink a little wine, and listen to the bar The singing is really a pleasure!

CChongtuamLove everything about the hotel! Staffs are very friendly. You can ask them for recommendations and they are willing to help(ask for their wechat!). The room was clean and have good view of the river. At night you can see the show from your room window. The location is convenient for walking to different places. The room have everything you need even a mini washing machine and a heated hanger!! There is a bathtub in the room too. Just the entrance that you have to lift your luggage up the stairs.

GGuest UserDengli Courtyard Inn has a comfortable small courtyard, which is very suitable for parents to stay with, giving them a sense of comfort in their own courtyard. They can sit in the courtyard in the morning. The owner is also very enthusiastic and kind, just like a friend, and will introduce us which restaurant has delicious food. It is also very convenient to stay in Dengli Courtyard when visiting scenic spots, so that you can go back to the inn to rest when you are tired.
