"Ray was an amazing proprietor. Upgraded my room for free, gave me tips on how to get around and where to go and even made sure that I wouldn’t miss my connecting train in the morning. Massive bonus for speaking English - nothing wrong with being unable to speak English but I don’t speak Chinese so this was a major help.
Highly recommend this place to stay, the only con I can think of is that it is a bit hard to find at first (but the town overall is hard to navigate, so it isn’t specific to the hotel).
I’d give a 6/5 if that was an option."

"I had a great stay in this hostel. Ideal location, close to all the spots I wanted to visit, very clean, and the owner is super friendly. She didn't speak any English but we managed to understand each other and she was very helpful whenever I had a question or needed help with something.
The only issue I had is that it was a bit hard to find because the entrance is at the end of an alleyway, but locals helped me when I asked around and showed them the address/hostel name."

"Great value. Although the room is not big, it is fully functional and has all the facilities. It is clean, has a private bathroom, plenty of hot water, and is very conveniently located. It is less than 100m from Hongqiao. It is also very convenient to take the shuttle bus to the high-speed rail station from the parking lot or the tourist center."

"The accommodation is near the entrance to the East side. Since it is an ancient city, you have to drag your luggage for a while. The river view is beautiful. The price is not expensive. The owner takes good care of you. He helps carry your luggage upstairs because there is no elevator. We used a language translation app to talk, but everything we needed was there. It is suitable for people who do not have very large luggage. Or you can tell us when booking that you want to stay on the 1st floor."

"This is the most hospitable place I have stayed in China. We got to the homestay a day late, but the owner still let us stay here without extra charges. She even brought us to the bus stop where we could take the bus to the train station, helping us get our luggage up the stairs. The place is very well-kept and the toilet is very clean. Thank you!"

"I would like to thank the lady owner who was very friendly and extremely helpful. She picked us up at the Nanhuali Tourist Center and it only took us several minutes to walk to the hotel. The location is excellent, several steps from the stop of the bus running between the city center and the Fenghuangcheng train station, a step away from the city center. The lady helped us with the city attraction tickets and quite affordable taxi to the Southern China Wall. My phone broke down and she did her outmost to help me out. As I lost my wechat she helped me contact my next hotel. I stronly recommend this place as the owner takes great care of her guests. I stayed at the Romantic Tatami Room. We really enjoyed our stay at Fenghuang."

"It made me feel very comfortable! Actually, I was a little nervous when I first went there with my family, wondering if we would bully newcomers. But when we got there, we found that the boss was very nice and enthusiastic, and he would introduce the attractions to you in detail so that you would not make any mistakes. The room is very clean, warm and well decorated.
The landlord is enthusiastic, the price/performance ratio is super high, the service is good, and the transportation is convenient (the homestay is located in the middle of the ancient city, in the central location). To get to the homestay, you need to take Line 1 and get off at Qifeng Square. Then walk a few minutes to get there, or take a taxi to Hongqiao Jiangtian Square. It is very convenient. Friends who want to visit Fenghuang Ancient City, I recommend this good homestay to you."

GGuest UserVery good Homestay it’s small hotel but good location that near main square, hotel service very good like 5 stars hotel the lady who is everything as reception, cleaner and maybe manger help me a lot before I go there she guided me how go to home stay that very good and clear also when I arrived she guided me how walk around town and river, where is shortcut go there and where can I find stall or restaurant. Also once I need her help to find supermarket she responded immediately and clear. Recommend everyone who finding accommodation in Fenghuang

CChoycpsService was great! The host offered free transfers from the train station and they helped with our luggage as cars are not allowed to be driven into the hotel area. Location is great as it is walking distance to eateries and shopping area.
The room has a really nice view of the entire ancient city and it is very clean. The host was very friendly and recommended places for us to go to.

AAVery good place. The location couldn't be better - in the middle of the ancient town and very close to the river, but not so close that it got noisy.
The room had very beautiful decorations, and with comfortable bathroom and bed (loved the electric blanket and movie screen). The balcony was nice too with a fantastic view (get the room on the top floor for this view, it's worth it).
Service was great too - I arrived early and was able to check in almost 2 hours before, and when I left the owner helped me carry the luggage to outside the old town and hailed a taxi for me.
The movie theme is nice and unique, but even without it the hotel has very harmonious interior design. One of the best hotels I've stayed in while in China.
Only issue for some people might be that you have to climb quite a lot of stairs to get to the hotel, but Fenghuang is like this in general, so not a good town to visit if you can't handle stair. Not so many stairs inside the hotel though.

Ppeibin limThe hotel is very conveniently located near Hong bridge and accessible to many good restaurants. Scenery is particularly good from the hotel room balcony. The AI room keeper is very interesting to talk to and the projector screen TV is very good. A lot of hot water for shower and drinking water is also provided. Room is very cosy and comfortable. Even though across the river were some noisy restaurants, it did not affect our sleep after closing the sliding door to the balcony. Service is very good. Our laundry was done and the owner arranged for a taxi pick up to send us off. Highly recommended to all visitors to Fenghuang ancient town.

GGuest UserI'm very satisfied with the homestay I chose. It's located just next to the North Tower gate, close to the riverside performances, but not next to the bar area above, so it's not noisy. The boss is so considerate, picking us up and dropping us off, and helping with the luggage. He contacted us in advance to turn on the air conditioner in the room. The homestay has been renovated, and the facilities are all new and clean. The price is really good. When you turn left, you can randomly choose a stir-fry restaurant that is the most appetizing and inexpensive meal during these days of traveling. It's a perfect end to the New Year holiday!

XXiaoaoshuangVery! Very satisfied! The boss picked us up when we arrived at Qifeng Square! The hotel is right by the Tuojiang River, and you can see the night view of the river directly on the 4th floor of the hotel at night. The parent-child room I booked, with one large and one small bed, is very suitable for bringing a family! The large bed is 1.8 meters long, and the small bed is about 1.3 meters long. The bed is relatively soft, the quilt is thick in winter, and the quilt and quilt cover are all new! I had a good rest at night, not noisy! The main point is that his house is not a toilet, but a squat toilet that I like! In short, it is very good! The boss is also very enthusiastic! Hardworking! Highly recommend his house!

GGuest UserDengli Courtyard Inn has a comfortable small courtyard, which is very suitable for parents to stay with, giving them a sense of comfort in their own courtyard. They can sit in the courtyard in the morning. The owner is also very enthusiastic and kind, just like a friend, and will introduce us which restaurant has delicious food. It is also very convenient to stay in Dengli Courtyard when visiting scenic spots, so that you can go back to the inn to rest when you are tired.

SsuttimasGreat location. We took a taxi from high speed train station, it cost only 22.5 CNY, taxi stopped in front of the hotel. Further more, the hotel located near the river and main attractions within few minutes walk and far enough from noise.The hotel room was very clean with comfy bed. The owner was very nice and helpful ,she tried to help us to buy train tickets which we could not buy online. Thanks.
