Gatwick Hotels with Wi-Fi

"When I booked, I thought I'd reserved a twin room, but I clearly didn't read carefully enough. Since the hotel was fully booked that night, they kindly provided an extra set of bedding, which was very helpful. The room itself was spacious. There were no disposable slippers in the room, but when we asked, the hotel staff promptly brought some up. We were pleasantly surprised and felt very welcomed when a lady at the front desk spoke to us in Chinese during check-in. We took the Thameslink to Gatwick Airport and asked for directions to the hotel along the way; it was actually quite easy to find. The hotel is located in the South Terminal, and getting to the North Terminal the next morning was convenient as well, with clear signs along the way. (I didn't take any photos of the hotel.)"

"While the hotel isn't far from the airport as the crow flies, you have to navigate around a highway, so those with large luggage should be extra careful! The hotel's self-check-in system is incredibly user-unfriendly. It showed 'checked in', yet still required a staff member to manually confirm and issue the key card. The problem was, this manual process was even slower! Early check-in isn't permitted; even an hour early costs an extra 5 pounds. The staff offered virtually no service. As for the room, it exemplified 'bare-bones efficiency': a single roll of toilet paper for all needs, one type of liquid soap for both handwashing and showering, and one cup for both drinking and brushing teeth. There was no air conditioning, only a fan."

"Absolutely awesome location! The rooms are located on floors 5 to 8, accessible by lifts located close to the airport security screening area. It could not be more convenient 😃 The rooms are comfortable and offer a choice of lighting from bright lights to gentle colour. Great heating/air conditioning system. Shower room is a wet room and the shower was wonderful (it has incredible water pressure 🚿 😍) . Everything was spotlessly clean. 😇 TV with good choice of programmes. 📺 🥰 Check in was so easy! I just tapped the link on the email, which led me to an app advising me of the room number. 🚪When I arrived outside the room I simply opened the app, tapped to confirm I was there and the door automatically opened. This would prove difficult for someone not accustomed to using apps or without a compatible phone, but I saw a computer screen near the lifts to assist with checking in (obviously there to assist guests who might have issues with their phones) I’d definitely stay here again. Was very impressed overall 😁"

"The location is very good. Right cross road to the airport North Terminal. If you travel to Gatwick Airport by coach or bus, make sure you walk the direction to the airport terminal after getting off at the bus station, and you will see the hotel right outside of the shuttle train station. Don’t follow Google map, it takes you to a weird route, and ending up going around the hotel. The staff was very helpful, he helped us changing the room that close to the lift so I don’t need to walk too far with 1 large suitcase and a pram with 2 young children. I’d stay here again given the location, the facilities, and overall services."

"I would not be giving this a 4 star rating for the hotel. The lobby was clean and tidy. Check in staff great. Rooms dated and lacked fine detail in cleaning. Scum around the baths and shower screens and fridge seals. Tea and coffee complementary in your room so long as you didn’t want any choice, as for two of us only one English breakfast teabag and then 5 camomile!! Used the restaurant in the hotel for dinner. Due to an early flight we decided to eat as a family at 5pm. The staff couldn’t figure out which menu we should be using and three times swapped the menus out. Once food was ordered it come out very sporadically (not all in one go as a family to eat) with one of us waiting 20 minutes from start of meal. The food came out warm and not hot and the staff messed the drinks order up. It is a quiet hotel from airport noise, but if you have someone in the room next door who likes their TV loud then take earplugs as no sound proofing from room to room or room to corridor."

"Small and cozy room with a perfect location for an early flight. Slept remarkably well and was not disturbed by other guests, will book again next time I have the misfortune of an early flight out of LGW!"
