"Ambiance: If you're a fan of Taisho-era Japanese-Western retro style, you'll absolutely adore this hotel. The view of Mount Hakodate from the room window is breathtaking, especially when you draw back the curtains. The room also features a hand-grind coffee setup and is decorated with great taste.
Hot Springs: I was pleasantly surprised to find such excellent hot spring facilities at this price point. They have an open-air bath and complimentary popsicles. From the toiletries to the view from the relaxation area, everything offers incredible value for money.
Transportation: It's about 1km from JR Hakodate Station, which can be a bit tiring with luggage in snowy weather. The bus stop was also a bit tricky to find. However, it's quite close to the Hakodateyama Ropeway and Hachimanzaka slope on foot.
Dining: The breakfast includes seafood (though not super fresh) but it's great value for money and worth trying! There's also a seafood market, ramen shops, and conveyor belt sushi options downstairs."
