Mest Hotel is a wonderful boutique hotel located right in the heart of the historic Spice Bazaar area. The moment you step outside the hotel, you are already surrounded by the vibrant bazaar atmosphere — perfect for shopping, exploring local products, and enjoying the lively energy of Istanbul. There are plenty of restaurants, cafés, and food stalls just steps away. The hotel itself is not large, which gives it a cozy and intimate boutique feel. What truly stands out is the excellent service. The staff are extremely friendly, attentive, and genuinely care about their guests, always ready to help with a smile. Breakfast is served on the top floor, and the breakfast area is absolutely beautiful. The food selection is varied and well-prepared, offering a great start to the day. From the breakfast area, you can enjoy a stunning view of the sea and a beautiful blue mosque, creating a memorable and peaceful morning atmosphere. Overall, Mest Hotel offers an exceptional location, warm hospitality, and a charming experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in the very heart of Istanbul’s historic and cultural center.

The view is beautiful and definitely the highlight of this hotel.However, the access to and from the hotel is quite inconvenient, especially on Mondays, which made transportation difficult. Unfortunately, the check-out experience was very disappointing. The staff rushed us to leave, which felt unprofessional and unpleasant. Overall, the view is the only positive aspect, while the service and accessibility need serious improvement.

The room type we booked was on the first floor of this hotel. The street below is a bustling market with many vendors and tourists. We can hear everybody talking loudly and all of the cars that pass by throughout the day. Not a moment of rest was granted since we checked in which was around noon time. I reported this issue to the faculty of this hotel, explaining the noise issue. The response from the hotel was a bluntly: theres is nothing they can do to make my stay more comfortable. I then reached out via email to the property manager and the response i received was more or less the same. As a hotel with such high ratings across many booking platforms, hospitality should be your first priority. I didn’t receive any help at all during my stay when I clearly stated that the noise was unbearable and made me restless. Travelling is tiring and I’m sure it resonates with whoever is reading this review. If a hotel has staff and management that doesn’t know how to solve problems, can they provide the help that you might need during your stay? Please do not book this hotel, there are many other choices.

The service & location is very good! The room ihas a quaint deco & clean. Love the breakfast and eapecially the view of Yeni Mosque right infront of u when having your breakfast! Will come back to stay there again if have the opportunity!

We took loft family room. It has the bazaar view but not noisy when the window close. Totally sound proof. We should have taken bigger room. The location is amidst bazaar. Its good for people who wants to shop. Its near the tram and Eminonu ferry station. Breakfast has nice view but not to our asian tastebuds😅. Overall 6/10.

Great location for first time family travel to Istanbul.

A lovely oasis amidst the busyness of the streets. All the front desk staff, breakfast, and cleaning staff were warm. The rooms are spacious and charming, some with incredible views. But what I'll really remember about this hotel is the breakfast! With so many options, including Western, local flavours, and homemade cakes, rotating daily, this is a well-done, calm breakfast experience.

Another review by me said “ the sound insulation is very poor” is a mistake. I was going to say that about a hotel in Barcelona. Sorry for Mest Hotel. Everyone here is very friendly and polite! The rooms are clean and the sea view is beautiful! Because I booked one night standard room and two nights sea view room, the lobby manager let me stay in the sea view room in advance, thank you very much.

Great location, hotel offer good breakfast,super friendly and helpful front desk and all the staffs! It’s located right near the spice bazaar, and mosques! we are family of 4 with 3 and 6 year old, we had lots of fun walking around, and ferry and bus stops are all 5-7 mins walk !Gave us chance makes explore outside the bazar area more easy!Also Uber works great at Istanbul , 5-10 dollar can get your to lots of the areas compares to taxis wait at Palaces area asking for 30 Euro for a 15-20 mins Ride! Things recommended:The cruises trip definitely a recommended, and take a local ferry to Asian side, they are totally different vibes and no one hassles you to buy stuff or give you tourist price on Asian side!Traditional Turkish Bath to end up our trip with!

We had the best experience staying over at this hotel. Got the family deluxe room just so we could have the balcony with a view of Suleymaniye Mosque which was breathtaking! Every call of prayer could be heard loud and clear which was perfect for us so we wouldn’t miss our prayer times. Getting there was little hard for us as we were caught in the traffic going towards the area so the cab driver told us to walk over from the main road. Other than that, the location is great! Lots of food places nearby, Burger King was literally downstairs. The spice bazaar was nearby too. Breakfast spread was delicious. The restaurant also had a great view of the mosque. Highly recommended.
