Impossible to find a better place in Jianshui. The rooms are located inside a historic stone and wood building that has been renovated respecting the culture of the place, creating very large rooms, in style, equipped with all possible technological comforts. The owner, Lawrence, speaks perfect English (a very rare thing to find in Jiuanshui), is a highly cultured person and can help you solve any type of problem as well as accompanying you on visits to the surroundings, making you enter the heart of Yunnan. It is the best place I have stayed in Yunnan, without a doubt. In this place I left my heart, respect and affection for Lawrence and all the staff.

I wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank the owner for the wonderful BBQ Doufu gathering they organized for all the guests. It was such a thoughtful and kind gesture, and it truly made our stay even more memorable. The effort they put into bringing everyone together, preparing the delicious food, and creating such a warm and welcoming atmosphere did not go unnoticed. It was a joy to meet the other guests, share stories, and enjoy the fantastic BBQ Doufu in such a beautiful setting. Their hospitality and attention to detail made the evening truly special. This homestay is not just a place to stay—it’s an experience filled with warmth, care, and a sense of community. We are so grateful for the memories we’ve made here, and the BBQ gathering was the perfect highlight of our time. This B&B was incredibly cozy and comfortable, making us feel right at home. The room was spotless, the bed comfortable, and the amenities complete. The owner was incredibly friendly and attentive, personally picking us up at the station, offering excellent travel advice and helping us find a ride to the Yuanyang Rice Terraces and a well-located B&B. True to its name—”Reluctant to Leave Lin'an,” we were deeply reluctant to leave. I'll definitely stay here again when I return to Jianshui!

The hotel is located near the south gate, you can find it by navigation, we are driving by car, the car can be parked next to a wood processing plant. The hotel is antique and is said to be a house of a famous person in ancient times. The whole is integrated with the ancient city, not far from various attractions. Although the room is not big, the overall is very comfortable, especially the bed is very comfortable. The girlfriend said that the mattress (I don't know if it is, it looks like a pattern on the surface) is very good. I want to know what brand it is haha. Then you must boast about breakfast again. It should be a stew made by yourself. The grass sprout chicken soup rice noodles or roll powder (the thickness is different) in the steamed pot. The taste is just right. Plus soy milk fritters, eggs and sweet potatoes, the ingredients feel very high-quality. The butler's service is also very meticulous. The off-season is very cost-effective, the whole is great!

The hotel is located in the center of Xiaogui Lake. The other side of the lake is very lively and quiet. The waiters are very friendly, the rooms are large and the facilities are complete. The hotel has thoughtfully prepared afternoon tea, souvenirs and high-speed rail pick-up services, making you feel at home.

I enjoyed my stay at this hostel. The environment was great, both from the staff and the guests. Really made me, the only foreigner, feel comfortable among them. Also very close to the best value noodles place I have yet found in SE Asia, and to the Ancient Town, and provided a good value bike rental (very solid bike). Riding it along the ancient train itinerary was her highlight of my Jianshui visit. Highly recommend 👌

The hotel is in a beautiful old mansion, and we really enjoyed our stay there. The inner courtyard especially was gorgeous, with blooming flowers in January. It's located right in the center of the old town, next to one of the main attractions, the Zhu Family Garden. It's very quiet and cosy. The mattress was nice and firm, and there was lots of hot water with good pressure in the bathroom. The owner was kind enough to upgrade us to a huge room with a living room, which we loved! Would definitely stay here again.

The inn is in a great location, at the intersection of Beizheng Street and Lin'an Road in the ancient city, close to the government office, Zhu Family Garden, Confucian Temple, etc. The owner is very welcoming and arranged an early check-in for us and introduced Wanyao Village. The room is very clean and has a small terrace where you can sit at night.

The quaint courtyard and two-story building are very warmly decorated and have a homey feel. I liked it at first sight. It is located in a small alley beside the east gate of the ancient city. It has easy access and convenient transportation, which is much more convenient than living inside the ancient city. The beautiful boss and her mother are thoughtful and enthusiastic. They take the initiative to pick up and drop off guests and help with luggage, recommend food and travel guides to guests, contact them for shopping and car rentals, provide a lot of convenience, and solve many practical problems for guests. Every time I come back from a trip, seeing the smiling faces of the boss and his mother and hearing their greetings makes me feel the warmth of home. The room is fully equipped, clean, and well-planned. The mattress is very comfortable and the toilet is smart, making it very comfortable to live in. It can be seen that the boss is very dedicated to his work. The daily breakfast is diverse and well-matched. I have been traveling for a month and this is the most satisfying stay. I extended my stay twice.
