From the moment we arrived to leaving we were totally treated like royalty throughout our 3 night stay. Everything was just perfect and nothing too much trouble for the staff- our personal concierge Aniket was a superstar and even arranged a special behind the scenes experience for my husband to take photos. Our room was beautiful- every detail thought through and special touches from the lovely Asif. Complimentary afternoon tea is a nice touch and morning yoga, plus a choice of 2 pools and a lovely spa. We ate a very special dinner at Pillars which was beautiful, and thanks to Manisha for her recommendations on Indian dishes. Once here you won’t want to go out, but do as Jodhpur is a magical place.

The palace is really worth the visit. The stay was excellent. The whole team was very warm and kind. We did loads of activities. Sweta was always a phone call away to help us go around and do things during our stay. Highly recommend enjoying the High Tea at the property. Spa and Indoor swimming was fun. Horse riding we also enjoyed. And the grand welcome when we arrived at the airprot was something to cherish always. Thanks to the entire team.

This was the most amazing experience of our trip. We were pampered and were given the best hospitality. Our welcoming procession made us feel special. The hotel had many complimentary activities for us to choose from including mocktail making and palace tours. The food was delicious and they were very catering to our needs. You can choose from an Indian meal or a multi continental meal. Their drinks were incredible. Our favorite drinks are Jodhpur Lancers (whiskey based) and The Maharani Special (vodka based). Not only was the food good, but also the palace was filled with beauty and history. Its majestic architecture leaves you in awe at each time of the day. So make sure you have your camera ready, especially to capture photos of the peacocks. We were able to feed the peacocks at breakfast too! The entertainment was phenomenal. The Rajasthani musicians played Bollywood songs we requested during our welcome. The musicians during dinner played the best music that made us sing and dance *****. They are all so talented and we wish we could listen to them all day. The best part about Umaid Bhawan that makes it stand out from any other hotel was the staff. Some of the staff members that made our stay amazing: Aniket, Jabbar, Manisha, Yakup, Shobhit, Narendar, Sweta, Harsh, Kartik, Deepika and Hardik.

What a welcome at Umaid bhawan by Sweta Shaw ! Seen so many beautiful properties across the globe and had met many wonderful people with world class hospitality but taj has surpassed all levels. Starting from entering the palace with a wonderful upgrade to a beautiful Heritage suite and a feeling of royalty by the staff especially during the dinner hours by MR. Govardhan and his team mates Narayan ji , Narendra ji , Rawal etc made our night damn beautiful not just by the delicious food but by their charm to cater us. The swimming coach Mr Laxman has added one more star in the hospitality of Taj Umaid. It’s not yet over after a night full of joy and wonderful sleep we were catered by the breakfast team Mr Saddique, Mr Karan , Yakub etc were amazingly sweet. The level of services experienced at this Taj property made me think that I could have booked it for some more couple of days irrespective we were there for 2 nights already. The surprise birthday party planned by Sweta and her team mates and the turban ceremony by Mr Kishan singh Bhati made me feel like a king. The day was followed by beautiful cookie and mock tail making experience that was WOW experience. I feel short of words while praising that marvel of Umaid bhawan palace but what beautiful people TAJ Umaid has hired made me blow away ! Will love to visit it again .

Taj Jodhpur review Writing this review as I usually do, sitting in the majestic balcony facing the gardens in the Royal Suite Room. Taj never ever fails to disappoint us. And Ummaid Bhavan has been no different. Right from the online booking to the warm welcome to the room set up to the food to the arrangments, everything has been perfect. We were upgraded to a beautifully decorated corner suite room with two balconies. The cake cutting with a sword! Yes you read it right and a lovely ring with turban was too good. Sikandar ji was very good with all the formalities, explaining about the hotel, taking care of our needs. The house keeping staff with Barishal Singh and his team really did an awesome job of meeting all our needs. The manager Alka and her team at the reception left no stone unturned to ensure we had a great memorable anniversary time. As such the weather was too hot and not the ideal time to visit Jodhpur at all. But the property is so well made that we didn’t feel like stepping out even once in our almost 4 days 3 night stay. Early check in and late check out was also made possible for us due to our flight timings. The indoor and outdoor pools both have their own charm. My husband used the spa and sangeeta at the spa was good too. The steam, jacuzzi and sauna is well maintained. We were lucky to get to see peacocks dancing. We had a private view for close to an hour while swimming and this was the icing on the cake!! This is probably the first Taj where I saw that breakfast is served hot and freshly made to order, and not a buffet spread. So that was Royal too! Sitting and ordering what we want without having to get up was something I enjoyed! Loved all the attention that was showered by the entire team in Risala - Narendra, Harshit ,karan and others too. We would love to visit with our family in winter maybe!

We loved our stay - the arrival welcome was awesome, the check in was quick and complete explanation provided about the facilities and services. The room was very nice and its upkeep spotless. All our requests were accommodated. The staff were very courteous and it was apparent that every person was well trained in hospitality and taking care of guests.

Most impressive hotel property I have seen in my life which was supplemented by a really royal experience right from check-in to check out Thanks to Alka, Shweta, Malvika, and Nishu for making the entire stay like a breeze for us, for our room upgrade and surprising us with the anniversary celebrations in the room. Kudos to chef Kush and the servers in Risala for always being there to oblige us. Kush was a pleasure to talk to when it came to discussing food. Siddiqui was a walking encyclopedia on the palace history. While, Harshit was always around smiling and anticipating our asks. This was a real à la carte on demand. Finally, thanks t Chetan for acting as our personal photographer on the trip who was always ready to suggest the best spots and locations in the palace.

The staff were also kind and generous and helpful it was just an amazing day in hotel Swaroop singh Surendra singh Ms nishu Ms malvika Ms rajadhani These were some of the staff that were always there when we needed and rest staff also were helpful
