It’s cost effective for trip travellers in Kandy. 5-10mins walk down to the lake. Tuktuk is recommended for booking if you want to visit the Tooth relic temple, or you may walk around 30-40mins to go there is time is sufficient. The room is clean and tidy. Breakfast is in western style and it’s great.

We enjoyed our stay with the King of Kandy. Large, clean room and nice helpful staff. My only complaint is that the hotel is hard to find. You have to go up an unmarked curving street, and there are no signs directing you to the hotel.

For short trip is ok

Everything is good except that the location is a bit hard to find. If you want to go out at night, you have to take a taxi. Had breakfast on the top floor in the morning. The environment was great and the waiters were very nice.

Because most of the nearby hotels were on the mountain, I didn’t want to carry my luggage, so I wanted to extend my stay. We confirmed with the hotel management that we had a room, and the boss also came over to confirm that we could renew the original room at the original price, but Ctrip could not pay online. When we came back in the evening, the clerk said that the room was occupied by guests who had booked for three consecutive days, and we could not renew. We said that your boss said that he had a room, but why didn’t he have it when he came to your place? He said, then you should call the boss, God! By that time it was already past 11:00 pm! Let's talk tomorrow. The boss came over the next day and talked about it all morning, but couldn't solve it. The four people left angrily to find the next hotel. Needless to say, the guy in the picture below was very helpful. He took the initiative and treated us with a smile throughout the process. We wanted to give him a tip, but we were busy talking about extending our stay at the time, and we were so angry that we forgot about it, which was a bit regretful. Note: The water just coming out of the shower head is very yellow, so it needs to be left for a few minutes. The water when flushing the toilet is also yellow (the last picture is the water after flushing the toilet). I don’t know if it is a water quality problem or a pipe problem, or because no one has lived in this room for a long time?

After entering, the living room is very beautifully decorated, the room is also very beautiful, and the space is quite ok. You can book two beds, but according to the standards of this country, most of the two beds are two doubles, that is, four-person rooms. . The bathroom is also decorated very fresh and bright. The WiFi speed is pretty fast, which is great. The service staff were kind and courteous by this country's standards, and someone would help us carry our luggage upstairs. Breakfast is eaten on the top floor. The venue is quite comfortable. There will be monkeys coming and the staff will chase them away. Even if they can't be chased away, they will keep chasing them away. It's quite interesting. Overall rating, good. If I come back, I will probably book this room again.

Excellent hotel, spacious and clean room, very comfortable mattress. We had a delicious breakfast on the veranda with a beautiful view of the city.

It's small for the price, but it's clean and the rooms are okay. The location is good as it is not far from Kandy Lake, but it can be a bit difficult to get there by walking as it is an alley, so I gave it one star. Bathroom water pressure and warm water are good, but there is no sink, and it is a bit disappointing that it falls from the top. I intend to visit again.

It's not easy to find in a small alley. Breakfast is on the rooftop. The variety and taste are decent. It's really exciting to watch monkeys crawling and jumping around while eating breakfast.

The place exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it. The facilities were good, the service was good, but above all, the food was so delicious. If I go to Kandy again, I want to book again.

Very nice place! The location is very convenient. The rooms are very clean and spacious with big balconies and great view. The staff here is very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very tasty. Definitely recommended!! One of the best places we stayed in SriLanka

Pretty average property - room was clean although towels were not. Seemed to be very short on staff so service was not great. Breakfast was average. Also up a private road which is tricky to find and not safe to walk in the dark. Appreciate you get what you pay for and it was fine for one night, but definitely did not live up to the reviews for me.

King of Kandy was comfortable, walkable to the major sites, good value and spotless. The manager used to work as a cook and makes great breakfasts. Persist when looking for it; it's on a private road but there is a sign.
