The bed was comfy. The view was amazing. The staff were very friendly. The location is very close to downtown but up a hill so very very quiet. The food is good, EXCEPT the mutton biryani. Don't order the Mutton Biryani it was just tough fatty meat that you couldn't chew unless you want to feel like you're chewing on an old piece of gum.

From the moment we arrived at this hotel, the service was truly excellent. We arrived early, but were still able to check in. We were greeted with cold refreshing coconut drinks and snacks, and the most helpful, lovely staff. Our room was beautiful, very stylish, with a small balcony, lovely bathroom (great toiletries!) and extremely comfortable bed. Perfect! The breakfasts were delicious, such a varied choice of food, with good coffee! We are vegan but there was plenty for us to eat. Day 2 we had freshly prepared hoppers filled with lentil dahl - so yummy! Location is ideal, very close to the lake and not far from the train station. We bumped into a gentleman who works at the hotel when we were out exploring (he was off-duty at the time but recognized us from when we checked in) and he was SUPER helpful, walking with us for a while, pointing out some interesting places to go, and he even helped us buy tickets for a traditional dance show. We were only in Kandy for 2 nights, but really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Highly recommend.

Overall stay in radisson kandy was pretty pleasant and comfortable. Room was very clean and presentable. Had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and the dining hall was spacious and the food was tasty with a variety of dishes. Roof top restaurants have a good variety of dishes with swimming pool and very view of skyline with visible kandy lake, buddha temples, mountains etc. Staff was very pleasant and ready to help for any requirements. Only was the availability of drinking water. Supplied only 2 bottles of 500 ml each and water cooler/ dispenser not available and guest had to buy additional water bottles at very high cost (compared to market rate. Hotel management can have a look at an issue of availability of drinking water. Otherwise the overall hotel stay was pleasant/ satisfying.

The reserved room bedroom has a loft that can sleep 3-4 people. The public areas and rooms are well decorated and maintained. The location is not far from the city center, but close to the road and railway. It is noisy at other times except at night. The hot water switch was hidden in the closet and was not turned on when checking in. There were no additional instructions. The front desk got off work at 10pm and could not be contacted, so I had to take a cold shower. There was a small gecko in the bathtub. Except for the soup, dinner was pretty unpalatable. The two types of fish I ordered were overcooked, dry, bitter, and maybe burnt. When I first checked in at 2 pm, I wanted to have laundry delivered to me. I was told that if I picked it up before departure the next morning, there would be an additional fee. However, I checked into another hotel of the same brand the day before and had laundry delivered at 10 pm the next morning before checking out. Washing, drying and ironing are done for free. What’s also strange is that the front desk helps you fill out the satisfaction survey feedback when leaving the store and asks you to sign it, while the previous one asked you to fill it out realistically. When you see the high score, you are also asked to provide suggestions for improvement. The difference in service awareness is evident.

The room was clean and comfortable. Sitting in the lobby and around the swimming pool is very comfortable, you can be in a daze all day long! The surrounding environment is very good. There is a lake next to the hotel and a small hill opposite. Wake up in the morning and listen to the birds singing, by the way, there are many crows here😄

It's hard to describe! I chose this hotel because it was said to be a 5-star hotel with the best view. Later, I saw on the Internet that it was a 4-star hotel. The actual experience was at most 4 stars. Next, I will elaborate on it:
1. The hotel reservation management is chaotic. When booking, I indicated that I needed 2 beds instead of a large bed. I arrived at night and was very tired after a long journey. When I opened the room, it was still a large bed. I communicated with the front desk and hoped to change the room. I was told that Douban was fully booked and could not be changed, so I had to send someone to dismantle the bed. After waiting for 20 minutes, no one came. I went to the front desk to argue. The front desk staff was sent to accompany us to the room again (a meaningless move. They neither changed the room nor helped us dismantle the bed. So they accompanied us back and forth to count the steps?)
2. The male waiter who was sweating all over came late. When he was dismantling the mattress, he stepped on the bed sheet with one foot. The picture is proof. I was too tired to argue. I also left a message to Ctrip customer service. The room is also very small and the facilities are old, so it is really not a 5-star hotel.
3. There are cockroaches outside the restaurant from time to time. The buffet looks rich but tastes bad. It is not as good as the previous stop, Bangladesh. I came back and stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott in Colombo and realized that the kitchen of this hotel is not good.
The advantage is that the hotel environment is really beautiful, the mountain view is unbeatable, and monkeys pass by the balcony from time to time.
Conclusion I hope the hotel will strengthen its management and Ctrip will strengthen the assessment and star rating of suppliers.

The most expensive hotel in Sri Lanka, I was full of expectations, but was quite disappointed. First of all, there is a one-way road on the way up the mountain, and it is dangerous to reverse when there is a car passing by. The hotel has only six rooms, including breakfast and dinner, but the variety is too small, and it is a bit not full. Moreover, the dinner and breakfast are served very slowly. We were the only Chinese family that day, and we couldn't find anyone when we checked in, so we waited for a long time. The environment is very good, but it is too troublesome to go up and down the mountain, the service is average, and the hotel atmosphere is not very good. I don't recommend staying here.

Kandy Jetwing Gallery Hotel
A quiet and comfortable place to rest, service details need to be improved
Overall, it was a relaxing experience to stay at the Jetwing Gallery Hotel in Kandy.
The hotel rooms are spacious and bright, with balconies. I was lucky to live in a room facing the pool with an excellent view. The room is very comfortable. Every morning when I wake up and open the balcony door, I can see the pool and the nature in the distance, which is very pleasant. The hotel is close to the famous Mahaweli River in Sri Lanka. The surrounding ecological environment is very good and the air is also very good. You can often see various birds and eagles, which is very suitable for people who like quietness and close to nature.
The swimming pool is my favorite part. It is open almost all day. When swimming in the early morning or evening, I feel that the whole pool and the world belong to me, which makes people feel relaxed. The restaurant is also facing the pool. When dining, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery and feel the tranquility of nature. After breakfast every day, I will sit on the platform to read or handle work. The atmosphere is quiet and the temperature is suitable. Looking back on the entire 20-day journey in Sri Lanka, this is one of the few places where I can read with peace of mind.
The hotel is far from the city, and it may take 20 to 30 minutes of driving time for tourists who want to explore Kandy city. Secondly, the professionalism of service details can be improved. For example, there was a service staff performing local dances at check-in, but it was obviously perfunctory. After that, the hotel arranged a dedicated waiter and handed me a mobile phone for contact at any time, but her service seemed unfamiliar. For example, when I was in the room, I asked whether the curtains were manual or electric. After she answered that they were manual, she demonstrated and opened the curtains again. At that time, it was 6 or 7 o'clock in the evening. It was completely dark and there was no need to open it at all. The same waiter would ask me what I wanted to eat every morning at breakfast. I said that when I eat cereal, I always ask whether it is with coconut syrup or honey. I chose coconut syrup for four consecutive days, but I was asked again every day. They are all small things, but it can also be seen that service is more of a formality.
In general, the Jetwing Gallery Hotel in Kandy is a place to relax and get close to nature. Its rooms, swimming pool and surrounding environment are all good, and the price-performance ratio is also high. If we can further improve the service details and provide proactive and considerate service, the overall experience will be more satisfactory.
A Peaceful and Comfortable Retreat, but with Room for Service Improvement I stayed at the Jetwing Kandy Gallery during my visit to Kandy, and overall, it was a relaxing experience. The rooms are spacious and bright, with balconies. I was fortunate to have a room overlooking the pool, which offered a fantastic view. The room was very comfortable, and every morning, I enjoyed waking up, stepping onto the balcony, and soaking in the tranquility of the surroundings. The hotel is located by the famous Mahaweli River, and the natural environment around it is excellent, with frequent sightings of various birds and eagles. It’s a great place for those who love peace and nature. The pool was my favorite part of the hotel. It’s open almost all day, and swimming in the morning or evening felt like having the entire pool and sky to myself, a truly serene experience. The restaurant also overlooks the pool, and dining there offers both visual and sensory enjoyment. After breakfast each day, I would sit on the terrace, read a book, or work. It was quiet, and the temperature was perfect—not too hot. This hotel was one of the few places during my 20-day trip in Sri Lanka where I could truly relax and enjoy some peaceful reading time. However, the hotel has some shortcomings in its service. First, it’s located quite far from the city center, which might not be convenient for those looking to explore Kandy. Second, the quality of service felt unrefined. For example, upon check-in, staff members performed a traditional song and dance, but it felt half-hearted. Later, I was assigned a personal service staff member and given a phone for direct contact. However, the staff member seemed inexperienced. For instance, when I asked if the curtains were manual or electric, they demonstrated how to close them but then reopened them, even though it was already 6-7 p.m. and completely dark outside. These small details reflected a lack of polish in the service. Another minor issue was at breakfast. Every morning, I chose cereal and was asked if I preferred coconut syrup or honey. I answered “coconut syrup” every time, but the staff still asked me the same question every day. While it’s a small matter, it suggests room for improvement in their service process. Overall, the Jetwing Kandy Gallery is a great place to relax and connect with nature. The rooms, pool, and surrounding environment are excellent. If the hotel could enhance its service details, such as being more attentive to guests’ habits and preferences, the experience would be even better.

Excellent
Jjj6328This hotel is newly opened and quite clean, but it is on the street, and it is the main street. It is too noisy. The sound of cars and motorcycles running non-stop, and the sound of horns, can be heard very clearly late at night. My heart is almost sick. I can't sleep all night. It's so painful! I originally booked two nights, but if I stay for another night, my heart will have problems. I went to negotiate the check-out at 6 o'clock the next morning, and found Ctrip again, and they agreed to check out! Because this homestay does not include breakfast, we booked breakfast when we checked in, and paid two breakfasts extra, two omelets, two plates of fruit, a few slices of bread and jam, no drinks, no coffee, 4200 rupees, I don't know why this price is so expensive! ? Is it because we canceled one day or the breakfast price is so unreasonable?
In addition, the waiters are not bad, but the location and breakfast of this homestay are really not recommended!
Facilities: General, the room is relatively small
Hygiene: OK
Environment: too noisy, facing the street, can't sleep
Service: good, breakfast is not good
IIvan GRIt is a beautiful hotel with a beautiful view. However, walls are thin and you can heard a lot of noise. It is not easy to get there because it is located almost in the top of the mountain. Another good thing is that the restaurant closes at 10pm and food is good and cheap. We didn’t find the swimming pool since we stayed just one night. It was a nice stay by the way and breakfast was good.
PD: We booked double room that it is supposed to have a king/queen bed but it was two individual beds put together.
QQiaoannuoJJIf it is a person, it is still a little scared to hit the tutu at night, because the mountain road behind is a dirt road and there are no street lights.
The air on the mountain is very good and quiet. The room has no air conditioning and electric fans, but you can't open the door and open the window, because there is a mountain outside, there will be mosquitoes coming in, and you can see small squirrels. There is an electric fan that is not ventilated without opening the window, which will be a bit stuffy.
The scenery is still very good.
I stayed for three days and gave me a bottle of mineral water and wanted to buy it again.
Three days also gave a soap head, it took a long time, the store insisted that a soap was enough, and later knew that I had laundry, so I added a soap.
Shampoo is not allowed, because the hot water is too small and too small. Hee hee, evil.
If you are alone, it is recommended not to go out at night, because you have to walk the mountain road, and there are occasional dogs on the mountain road. It is best to find a companion.
WWanxiangouyangzhenKangti is a mountain city, and the houses are basically built on the mountain. This hotel is actually like a resort, by the river, there are no attractions and no residents next to it. The river is flowing rapidly, the flowers are fragrant, and the sound is quite lively. At night, the hotel is dark and dark, and find a small supermarket to buy something at least three kilometers away. The accommodation building seems to be three or four floors. There is a small swimming pool in the garden. Sitting on the balcony, the eyes are full of green mountain and garden views. Come out early in the morning and take a mobile phone to take a photo of 20 different flowers! The fly in the ointment is that the facilities in the room are old.
GGuest UserIt's fate that I went to Sri Lanka for the second time. I went there in October last year. It rained heavily almost every day. It happened to rain heavily when I was in Kandy. I took shelter from the rain in front of this hotel. The clerk warmly invited me to rest inside and ordered ice cream. I actually booked this hotel for the first time. The location is great and it’s right by the lake.
GGuest UserThis hotel is on the top of the mountain. The view is very good, the environment is OK, the building is very distinctive, including the decoration of the room, but the worst thing is that the hygiene is very worrying, the door is a bit old, the refrigerator is so dirty that you can't get it off, and there are stains under the toilet seat There were urine stains and hair on the bed. The bed was two beds pushed together and it was uncomfortable to sleep on. The quilt was a sheet and was too tight to pull out. It was very uncomfortable to sleep on. Fortunately, there was a blanket in the cabinet to cover it with. Regarding the food, it’s not good either.
GGuest UserThe price of the Youth Hostel, the service of the hotel. The location is a bit biased, but it takes ten minutes to walk to Kangping Lake and more than 20 minutes to the Buddha Tooth Temple. The facilities are very new and there is a balcony to see the scenery of Kangti. There seems to be a bar on the top floor, very lively, and the end of ten o'clock on time does not affect the rest. In short, it is very cost-effective and worth booking
GGuest UserThe owners and employees at this hotel are so, so lovely.
Unfortunately their hotel is not. I almost feel catfished as many of the photos highlighted the bar and pool party atmosphere. This was not the case - the pool was a decent size but in the shade and I actually didn’t see anyone in it. The pool party drinking shots I highly suspect were perhaps not a genuine source.
The same goes for the bar which is massive and attended to by several lovely young, bored gentlemen as both times I popped up (once for dinner) I was the only patron. Again no party atmosphere or even people - which is a shame as it is a big venue.
Fortunately next door was another venue for some decent cocktails and music which saved the boredom somewhat.
The bedroom was a decent size with a small fridge (but didn’t work), the bathroom was small, felt dirty, no hand soap or soap for the shower (apart from leftover previous occupants - and that was gross).
The pressure was poor making showering difficult and there was plaster on the floor from some damage - not cleaned up.
The bed was massive and comfortable with air conditioning and a fan so sleep was good.
Finally, and to repeat, the staff were lovely. Very hospitable and the location is about a ten minute walk to the Sacred Tooth Temple and Kandy Lake. So great location.
Would I stay there again - no. Would I pop in to say hello to the owners and next door for a cocktails - possibly!
