Hotels Near Kaohsiung Railway Station in Kaohsiung

Very good hostel, the front desk lady was very welcoming and helped us upgrade to a double bed room. The location is also very good, very close to Kaohsiung Main Station and Formosa Boulevard Station! It only takes 20 minutes to go to the Pier-2 Art Center by bus!

Room was clean and service was really good. I requested for them to help me receive parcel prior to my arrival and they assisted me with it and handed me the parcel when I arrived. Hotel also provides free self-service laundry, but not that drier have to pay. Overall good experience

It was first bad hotel experience booking thru trip.com. Traveled with 2 kids under 13. We drove to Kaoshiung from Taipei. Arrived late night. There's no parking lot provided but have to park somewhere 3 walk at a opposite the hotel. Paid TWD100 per entry on the following day before leaving. The hotel looks good at the public areas, except our room. We were given a room at 6th floor. It looks like under construction and no other guests were staying on that floor. If we were not 4 together, I dare not stay alone. What was disappointed was the room is very very old. Everything old style. The carpet is dirty. We have to wear the paper slippers (the worst hotel slipperstgat I had ever seen) to walk on the carpet. We tried to push a bed to the side to the wall, but the floor under the bed is very dirty, even found a plastic slipper (not a pair). We guessed it was left by the previous guest and the room was not totally cleaned. We quickly put the bed back. The shower pipe also not very well working and weak power water. Quite disappointed. 2 Good points: 1. The hotel is near to the night market: It's just 3~5 mins walk from hotel. 2. The breakfast was quite good.

Location was great as it is near the Liohe Night Market. Room was okay however we had to pay additional 300 NTD as they have no room for 3 person and had to upgrade to 4 person room since it is the only room available

Hotel is close to huayi mrt station (＜5mins) or slightly more depending on traffic (2 traffic light to cross) to reach exit 4. Closest convenience store is family mart. Basic amenities is supplied except for toothbrush/toothpaste and cotton buds/shaver. Rooms are quite small and squeezy. It is good for 1 person stay i would say. 2 and above will have problem opening the luggage. Nonetheless, a quiet district and clean hotel to stay in. Ps; not much of restaurant along the streets, just use uber eats.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in! Everything about the hotel was perfectly thought through and designed for the user experience.  Located conveniently abiT off the main busy stretch but walking distance to lots of food and bars, a little longer walk and you would get into the main busy shopping stretch. The hotel was super thoughtful in the service and amenities they provided. There was 24hrs free coffee, tea and ice cream which was self service, a laundry room with free use of their washing machines and dryers - the staff would even help you to dry your stuff when the machine is done washing! There was a 24 hour reception which is manned by really polite and kind staff who are always there to answer your questions even at 1am!  The room was well designed with all the amenities provided, from hair shampoo, conditioners, bath wash, moisturisers and even facial wash!  The rooms are super clean and there was an in-room tap with reverse osmosis water for you to refill your water and boil tea with!  The best part, the room also came with free breakfast which was pretty sumptuous for a simple hotel. The buffet spread of stir fried dishes, rice, porridge, soup (oh my god so good!) cereals, salads, coffee, teas and juices.  The service was also really good. Unobtrusive and always polite. They are really efficient and nice.  I would def stay here again if I come by!

My good friend came to Kaohsiung from Taipei. I booked him a hotel near my home (Kangqiao Hotel) near Guangrong Pier. Buffet breakfast is provided from 7 to 10 am. Dinner is also provided from 7 to 9 pm. Both are included in the room rate. It is really affordable. There is a wide variety of food. It is delicious. There is also a 24-hour self-service cafe on the first floor. There are tea, coffee, and Du Laoye ice cream. It is very good for business negotiations, travel and self-residence. The room is large and the bed is very comfortable. The Kaohsiung Light Rail is a 3-minute walk away. It is very convenient.

So why was the cleanliness and service poor. Firstly as being a weekend the price was doubled. Checked in and found the room attendants cleaning cloth in the bathroom drawer. Ok this probably was a mistake so why did the carpet need another vacuum after finding multiple crumbs! Made a complaint to the reception staff and they resent the room staff to revacuum. No compensation was offered. I won't stay here again.

I had a wonderful stay at Tai Urban Resort! Upon check-in, the service was exceptional—I was greeted warmly, and later in my stay, the staff even helped me cut my fruit since I didn’t have a knife. Talk about top-tier service! The room was incredibly large and spacious, and I especially loved the unique bathtub in the middle of the room—a first for me! It created a perfect space to relax and unwind. The hotel’s central location made it very convenient to get around. While I didn’t use the gym, the pool was the highlight of the hotel. Even though it was winter and I didn’t go for a swim, simply sitting by the pool brought a sense of calmness and tranquility. I was initially torn between staying here or at the Intercontinental Hotel, but I’m so glad I chose Tai Urban Resort. Just a note: late check-out was quite difficult to get, so keep that in mind when planning your stay. Highly recommend, and I’d love to stay here again!

The space is large, the bed is comfortable, there is a little smell of cigarettes, but it is fine after opening the window for ventilation. The remote control battery is dead, and the front desk will handle it immediately after notifying it. It is a good rest hotel, comfortable and spacious, and the breakfast buffet is also good.
