Location is superb, right in the middle of Kathmandu, walking distance to Thamel. Other interesting landmarks are easy to reach with the helpful taxi drivers (always present outside the gates). Hotel staff are very kind, sincerely engage in conversation and helpful in providing tourist information. Rooms are cost and warm decorated. Hotel has a beautiful garden suitable for a relaxing stroll. Swimming pool is nice and very clean! I highly recommend this hotel above other hotels in Kathmandu. Thank you Mr Prakesh for the awesome service in the restaurant.

Good hotel

Relatively standard five-star hotel, no special features, much worse than Dwarika, the same price will be much lower; stayed here for two nights, moved to Dwarika for one night, the difference is not the same Small.

The room is quite tidy and has Nepalese elements, but it is a bit old.

Very quiet and comfortable, the environment is also very clean.

There are typical Nepalese style hotels, but the water quality is slightly yellowish, and everything else is fine.

Very good hotel

The place has a very charming and old school vibe. The hotel is large and has a wonderfully landscaped garden , pool and pond Rooms are comfortable though not very large Despite the age of the property it’s impeccable on cleanliness and maintenance . It’s also very kid friendly due to the open space and activities What was a complete winner was the food especially breakfast. Had the most terrific omelettes , baked goods and Dosa which was as good as having it at my hometown in South India.

Had a very pleasant stay at the Hotel Yak and Yeti in Kathmandu. The facade and interiors of the hotel are very beautiful; the rooms, conference venues, and amenities are also well maintained. Most of all, all of the staff I encountered in my brief stay - from the reception, bellhop, servers/waitstaff, to housekeeping - were so friendly, warm, and helpful.

We experienced heavy dust in our room which we noticed in the morning only. The whole night we were coughing without understanding the fact that this was due to the polluted air in our room. The room was polluted with the dust coming out of the airconditioner in the room. We have stayed in this hotel several times in the past also due to its good location but this time our stay in Yak and Yeti Kathmandu can be categorically marked as a 'Life Threatening Experience' for us. People with asthamatic problems must be careful.

It was ok. Breakfast was open till 10, it can be extended till 12 for people coming in mid night. Coffee/tea and water can be made more accessible at restaurant

helpful staff.. enjoyed the food n pool.. clean and beautiful garden. kids enjoyed there. had a good time there . rooms are clean n big. room service was prompt. minimum for for check in and out.. hotel at center of city still very spacious .......

We stayed here either side of our EBC trek and loved it. The rooms are so nice and the gardens are beautiful. It truly is a retreat from the busyness of Kathmandu. But also handy to shops, including walkable to Thamel. Only ****** was that they quoted USD 30 for an airport pickup, which seems excessive, and a couple of times I was ignored in favor of my husband (eg putting his bag in the car but not mine). But overall the staff were super-nice and provided great service. We appreciated an early check in after our trek. The breakfast was delicious with a great selection. We went to the Chimney restaurant for a birthday dinner and the food and service there were excellent. Highly recommend Y&Y.
