Visited with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday for afternoon tea, plenty of parking & beautiful building. We were first given a coffee table & low chairs which we found a bit cramped & not really suitable for a disabled member of our party, after moving a few chairs around the waitress asked if we would prefer to move to the dining room which we did. The afternoon tea was lovely, I had a vegetarian one, good mix of sandwiches, nibbly bits, scones & desserts, beautiful crockery all served in a very nice room. The waitress was very helpful & nothing was too much trouble for her, all in all, a lovely afternoon. The Afternoon Tea is probably a bit more expensive then nearby places but was also a bit more special. Would we go again? NO & the reason? it is cashless, card only, luckily we did have cards with us but we all agreed that taking away our choice to pay cash would sadly stop us returning.
