"This guesthouse seems to be run by Chinese owners, which is nice. My room was right by the entrance. After checking in at the front desk, I couldn't find it until I turned around... it felt a bit like sleeping in a guardhouse. The soundproofing isn't great either. Because of its peculiar location, it gets very noisy in the mornings. And the room next door seems to be a staff office, which also generates a lot of noise. However, the room was warm and clean, perfect for a night's sleep, and the price was excellent. The only downside is that it didn't have a private bathroom. The common areas were clean and there was even coffee available, which was a pleasant touch."

"An impeccable hotel. The rooms were clean and well-equipped. The water heater was a Rinnai, so the hot water was plentiful and hot. The only downsides were that the TV wasn't a smart TV, so no YouTube, and there were limited laundry facilities – only two washing machines in the lobby. The location is absolutely superb, right next to Otaru Station, with the Sankaku Market just downstairs. A block to the west, there's a 7-Eleven and a Toyota car rental. A block to the right, there's a building with shops, a large supermarket, and a Don Quijote. The canal is a short walk north from the hotel. Even walking to Gaja for all-you-can-eat beef only took 15 minutes."

"This B&B is fantastic, clean, upscale, and has everything you need. The host is Chinese and the communication was great. Since there weren't any other guests, we rented the entire room for our family, which felt like a little escape from Japan. The bus stop is right outside, making it a convenient option for those wanting a rural Japanese experience. It all depends on what you want. If you want a spacious vacation experience, this is the place to go. There's a dining room, kitchen, living room... For the same price, you'll get more convenient transportation at a hotel, but the smaller rooms in Japanese hotels are undeniable..."

You will find her humor and enthusiasm when you communicate with her. If there is no one at the front desk, you can ring the bell. You need to leave the key at the front desk when you check out. The second floor can be connected to the bathhouse on the first floor (I didn’t go because it seems to be an independent business bathhouse, and my roommate likes to go there); If you are assigned to a double room as shown in the picture, you are lucky because you will live very comfortably. My roommate is of the same country and the same sex, and we chatted like friends; If you are assigned to a quadruple room, then you will experience a rich youth hostel life. The roommates are men and women from all over the world. It is easy to communicate in a narrow environment. Everyone is very quiet and you don’t have to worry about your sleep problem. But there is indeed a smell that is not like 🦶 air for two days. I can’t tell the difference. There is a burning thing in the room (it seems to be an air purifier) ​​that can solve this smell. "Room in dorm spacious. We have place for suitcase, and we can move freely in the room. Big sharing bathroom. Clean and well located. 10min from the train station. Very convenient and easy to self check in after 7pm. inconvenient: smell of food in the room, miss a small shelf: I'm not used to sleep under my phone(...-_-) and the light of the bed, is really low. The washing machine was a huge convenience, and we had options for drying clothes either on the hanger stand inside the room or on the balcony. The location is a major highlight, being within easy walking distance to both Otaru Canal and Sakaimachi Street. We also found it convenient to have a Lawson and various eateries nearby, though it's a good idea to check their opening hours as they can vary. Important Considerations for Your Stay While the location is excellent, it's important to note that the road leading to the building is steep. This could be particularly challenging if you're driving, and we would not advise driving during winter due to the road conditions. For those with a car, there are two parking areas available. The closer one has three slots, while a slightly further option offers approximately 12 slots. Keep this in mind, especially if you prioritize a closer parking spot."
