One of my favorite hotels I’ve ever stayed at and I’ve been to a lot.

A very good hotel, primarily because of its territory and location The houses on the territory are quite private, no one bothers each other Monitor lizards live, "rhinoceroses" fly in, excellent snorkeling If you want, you can walk through the jungle to Paradise Beach, and a little further there is the entrance to the national park (though it is paid, 100 baht) The opportunity to stretch your legs distinguishes Ngai from Kradan (the sand there is really nicer) A very good restaurant on the territory of the hotel Fast, tasty, relatively inexpensive A good, atmospheric bar There are kayaks In general, we recommend)

Very suitable for holiday hotel, very comfortable to stay, the sea in front of the hotel is very beautiful. But the breakfast variety is a little less.

There were very few people when we arrived. The room was large, with a beach view and snorkeling. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant. The menu had no photos and was a little different from what we expected. The taste was OK. The price was acceptable.

Thanya Hotel is perfect in every way. The bungalows are all one way or another with a sea view. The hotel has its own lake and monitor lizards live in it. Toucans are coming And the hotel has a beautiful flower garden. The only downside to the hotel is the breakfast. In such a large hotel, there is only one person who fries an omelette. So it's better to wake up earlier

The scenery is beautiful, and I live in an independent wooden house by the sea, but the facilities in the room are very simple, and the sanitation is also very general. It was very hot in the room during the day, and the air conditioner could not completely cool it down. There is a private beach and swimming pool. The swimming pool is not clean, but the children had a good time. The most surprising thing is that the hotel's private beach can be snorkeled in the sea, which is very fun. Meals can only be eaten in the hotel or the hotel next door. There are few choices and the taste is average. All in all, it is worth the price in terms of scenery, but it does not match the price in terms of facilities.

We stayed 3 nights at Thanya Resort. Very sweet and helpful personel both at the reception and restaurant. But their terms for doing a great job was a bit overruled by the very tired facilities around them. Furthermore a huge junkyard was to be found if you move just a bit up the pass through the jungle. Hotel deserves 2 stars - not the 4 they have. A bit disappointed. Fotos do a lot.

Spacious bungalows even with 3 people as our daughter stayed with us. Quite dated, efficient air con and basic shower. Quiet, with nature around and even many monitor lizards in their mini lake. Breakfast ok, nice egg station where you can order your favourite. Nice bar on the beach side and really good massage in the hotel. Too few sun chairs but the advantage of being on the beach. A nice stay, very helpful staff at the reception who organised transfer and helped us find our way around.

First of all the staff are fantastic, all very helpful and polite. They are a highlight here. The restaurant is fine and isn’t terribly different from anything else on the island. The small sundries shop is convenient but the one at the Maya resort is larger and marginally cheaper. As for the rooms, they are good. The hillside sea view rooms are quieter and most private and have the best views though definitely not suitable for children or those with mobility limitations. They are kept spotless and the shaded deck is wonderful. What I didn’t like is that, while I’m sure they were clean and sanitized, the towels and sheets had stains. Management should know better that these are definite turnoffs and such things should be disposed of. The toilet in my room also needed to be replaced. While perfectly functional, it showed more wear and tear than I would have liked. Beautiful beach and easy access to the coral reef. When the place is fully booked there is a bit of a scramble for beach chairs. I’d probably come back.

We stayed there for six days and easily could stayed longer. The resort is nice, staff is super friendly and helpful, service was excellent and food was good. They also have very big portions. Rooms were quite big and clean, bed was comfortable. There is everything you need. Place is beautiful specially in the evening. Only minor downside was that there were many children, so the pool and sunbed area wasn't guiet and peaceful. Some sunbeds were occupied before the breakfast was over and not been used for hours.

Attentive staff, very clean rooms, lovely massage ladies nearby. Restaurant had nice food, local dive school were helpful but we didn't have enough time to go diving, quiet beach, the only thing negative was the pool looked cloudy with algae at the bottom so we didn't use it. Others did.

Stayed for 3 nights with family in December and found the Thanya and Koh Ngai to be everything we hoped for and more. The island is stunning - this is proper paradise off the beaten track and away from the masses. The beach is breathtaking with clear blue waters and a thriving reef right outside the hotel. The accommodation is really basic and this is where the Thanya loses a star because we found it really difficult to sleep as a result. Every single noise outside from nature to other guests sounds like it is in your room. We were woken 2-3 times every night unfortunately. Then as soon as the sun starts to rise the room is bathed in sunlight. Beyond that though the Thanya is charming. The pool is great, the staff are lovely, the breakfast is perfectly adequate. We will be back and we will stay for longer (we’ll just bring ear plugs and eye masks next time).

Having seen the previous review before travelled I wanted to reassure any future visitors… this place is paradise. I went with lowish expectations at a high season price but knew that Koh Ngai was worth the risk having passed by in 2006 returning from Koh Mook. I am so glad we ventured back and took our teenage kids! We are now in Koh Lanta wishing we had stayed longer! Rooms are simple, a little dated, but are clean and have everything you need including aircon and more importantly views to die for and traditional Thai bungalow style. Beds are hard, and you are virtually sleeping in nature so bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper as the birds and insect dawn chorus got a few choice words from the teenagers. Views are to die for as is the resort. Ignore the previous review about the dirty pool… it’s a natural stone finish which blends perfectly with its surroundings and is cleaned daily at dawn. The beach and sea… well having travelled around most of Thailand I confirm that they are is unbeatable. Do not go to Koh Lanta or Krabi and not venture down to the Trang islands… they are unmissable. Restaurant food pretty good. Breakfast simple but excellent panckaes and omelette station and decent coffee. Chom View restaurant best food on the island and BMH for cocktails as the sunsets behind you on the other side of the island were excellent. Yes everything is a little more pricey however drinks no more expensive than Koh Lanta.

Does what it says on the tin really, we had a sea view bungalow which I would recommend (even over the beach bungalows) the view was the best I have ever had. The snorkeling was just OK when we were there visibility was not as good as other places (Koh Kradan). Not a big thing for us but the pool at the hotel was filthy I would not even put my foot in it really not sure why this was but not a great advertisement for the place! The breakfast was adequate nothing special (we were given free breakfasts in other places we visited that were better). Eating on the island was nothing special either we tried a few places and none were anything to write home about (the best rated restaurant was at the Oasis further along the beach but the girl trying to get you in was so pushy we only went once and it was nothing special!) All in all we had a nice time but 2 nights was enough.
