First, this is a homestay. Although it is in the same building as the hotel, the lobby front desk downstairs does not receive people. You need to call and add WeChat, pay a deposit of 100 Malaysian ringgits, and he will send you a password, and then you go to the mailbox to get the key and access card. Second, they basically don't come to clean during your stay, and you need to ask for toilet paper and bottled water. Third, on the day of check-out, I asked him if I could store my luggage and asked me to go to the lobby downstairs to find the front desk. I was wondering if they are not a company. As a result, it didn't work when I pulled the luggage downstairs. Then I discussed with him whether I could leave the box in the living room and they could clean up the rest first, but he refused to do it. In the end, he suddenly said: Why don't you pay and check out late? Oh, it suddenly dawned on me, waiting for me here, saying that it was 30 Malaysian ringgits per hour, there was no way, I could only pay, and the lobby downstairs didn't allow me to deposit it. I don't know if the cash I gave will be deposited into the company account. The deposit I paid when I checked in was initially said to be refunded in 3-5 days, but I still haven't heard from them after a week. Later, I said I would file a complaint, and they refunded me only part of it, saying it was a mistake, and it took more than ten days to get all of it back. As a result, I lost money on the exchange rate, paying more than 166, but only 160 was returned. By the way, although this place is in the city center, there are two rivers at the door, so you need to go around to get in.

Room 830 only issue was TV all the channel need to adjust or fix screen not clear (running line).Young Bell boy with spetical amazing(selfie photo) . Good knowledge on local area.. Luma Hotel was incredible and very clean! It had a pleasant fragrance throughout. The bellboy and attendant were outstanding. The hotel is conveniently located next to Imago Shopping Mall—just a short walk across a bridge. It’s also near several convenience stores and Chagee. The staff provided excellent service, assisting us by storing our luggage while we waited for our flight. Our room was spacious and comfortable.

Strategic location right at the KK city centre. 15min drive from the airport. Easy access to all shopping malls. Excellent sound proof room against the main road traffic. Serve good breakfast. However, the variety of dishes is quite similar such as nasi lemak, pineapple fried rice and fried noodles. I personally thought that the hotel could provide something better than that. Anyway, it was a good stay and definitely I'll come back to the hotel again. Thank you.

The cleanliness, equipment, facilities and service are good.. but there is a but. I can't sleep because there is a disturbance in the room.. understand.. I mean.. the shower knows how to turn on itself, the lights know how to turn off, things like that in the room. .horror ohh

Promenade Hotel is among the classic good (4*-5*) hotels in Kota Kinabalu. Classic also means it shows the signs of ageing, probably they will need to refurbish the rooms sooner or later. Others then that the check in was very efficient, they have like 4-5 counters, and nice staff with good English and some with Chinese speaking abilities. The breakfast was fine, selection decent. During our two night stay most of the guests were from South Korea. It's recommended to have your own car or use Grab, because it's a bit far from main tourist hubs. Just halfway between Gaya street and Imago. Afternoons, Evenings KK traffic can be very terrible, from Gaya st to Promenade hotel - normally 5-10 mins short drive took almost one hour, but that's not the hotels fault, but location can be a problem during busy hours.

The counter staff is very polite in front of a smile, and the hall is also very spacious and comfortable. They will also be very polite to take your luggage. The most important thing is that this place is very convenient to go anywhere. The room is very clean and hygienic. I am very satisfied with this place.
