I had a fantastic stay! The room was spotless, the staff were incredibly friendly. The breakfast options quite limited but impressive quality. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.

Nice property in a vibrant and walkable neighborhood of central KL of historic significance. Nice rooftop pool with good views of Bukit Nanas and KL tv tower. Several good coffee/food/drink options within walking distance.

Great place, great location. There is a lot of food and bars nearby. With nice klcc view nearby and kl tower view at rooftop. What could go wrong....

Great breakfast, staff, design, a pool and soft mattress on the bed, thanks! But! The ventilation in the room does not turn off (air conditioning - yes, ventilation - no) and in the room you will be unbearably cold if you are sick. I caught a cold and the cold in the room only made me feel worse for a couple of evenings. There were not enough sun loungers by the pool and those who constantly wanted to lie by the pool did not have enough space under the sun. Sometimes staff should clean not only the open spaces, but also behind the cabinets;)

A Wonderful Stay in the Heart of Kuala Lumpur I recently stayed at this hotel to celebrate my sister’s birthday, and it was an amazing experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were super friendly and welcoming, making check-in and check-out a breeze. The room was nice, clean, and well-maintained—perfect for our stay. The hotel offers valet parking for RM10, which was convenient, especially given the location right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. We had easy access to local attractions and the bustling city vibe. One of the highlights was the beautiful swimming pool, where you can enjoy a fantastic view of the KL Tower. It was such a relaxing spot to unwind. The amenities were top-notch, and we really appreciated the thoughtful gesture of a slice of cake from the hotel to celebrate my sister’s birthday. The only downside was that, at night, we could hear some noise from the nearby bar, but it wasn’t too disruptive for us. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Kuala Lumpur!

Had a wonderful stay at the stripes. Wanted to try out another autograph hotel, and to me though it was great, felt like some things can be improved like the breakfast selection. Swimming pool area was a little small maybe bcause we went during weekends so it got a crowded. They hotel staff forgot to get us a cake for anniversary :( but it’s all good though. The staff who sits in front of the hotel + does the car valets are sooo friendly we felt very welcomed. Thanks so much!

This is actually a 3 star hotel, not 5 star. The facilities are very simple, only a small pool and gym. Considering their price is more expensive than Sheraton (a true 5 star hotel), their room is overpriced. The decor is cheap, not luxurious and the breakfast was awful and boring. The rooftop pool is very small, it’s only nice for the view. The gym basically only has treadmills. The front desk service is good and check in/check out was fast. The housekeeping could be better. They expect me to tell them exactly what to do and what amenities to replenish. I wish they would just know their job without depending on me for instruction. My room was not cleaned daily, so I had to stay with a full garbage bin for 3 days. The foreign staff need to improve their English. The food was also not good and lacks variety. It’s better to eat outside. Although, my stay was comfortable but I don’t feel it’s value for money.

Good hotel with enough space. Everything worked, but internet connection was poor and the hotel provided a router to improve connection. The breakfast was good. Everything were more than average.

Great Location, But Disappointing Stay I stayed at Hotel Stripes for 11 nights, and while the location was excellent—close to a train-monorail station, main attractions, and plenty of restaurants in a quiet area—the overall experience was disappointing and not what I expected from a 5-star hotel. The staff were polite and helpful, but they were not always available around the pool area and during breakfast service. The room was a major letdown. With no windows or balcony, limited natural light, and insufficient indoor lighting, it felt dark and claustrophobic. Additionally, the bedding, especially the pillows, didn’t feel clean and should be thoroughly washed or replaced. The WiFi connection was extremely poor throughout my stay, which was frustrating and inconvenient. The swimming pool area was unsafe and poorly managed. I witnessed a guest slip on wet stairs, dislocating his shoulder and requiring an ambulance. No staff were present during the incident, and the wet stairs made the area hazardous. The poolside bar was left unmanaged during day hours, and while there was a water dispenser, water glasses were often unavailable. Breakfast was another disappointment. The food options were very limited, and the quality was poor—not what you’d expect from a hotel with a 5-star rating. While the location and polite staff were positives, the overall experience fell far short of expectations. After 11 nights here, I can confidently say I wouldn’t recommend this hotel or stay here again.
