Shangri-La Properties in Kuala Lumpur

Pros: 1. Very close to KLCC. The hotel offers a shuttle service to KLCC (last shuttle at 10 PM). The LRT is on the lower ground floor of KLCC, making it very convenient to reach major attractions like Jamek Mosque and Petaling Street. You can also walk through KLCC via a sheltered walkway to Pavilion (15-minute walk, air-conditioned and covered). 2. You can go up to the 33rd-floor SkyBar for free to take photos (there might be some obstructions when photographing people). If you want to have a drink and take photos without obstructions, it's best to go between 5-6 PM and sit by the window (there's a minimum spend). Cons: 1. No Chinese-speaking staff, which is quite surprising for a well-established star-rated hotel. The Black guy at check-in had a very indifferent attitude towards Chinese guests but was all smiles for white guests. The check-in process was also incredibly slow! 2. The bedsheets had multiple footprints, the room facilities were old, and there was a musty smell. 3. The deposit is 250 MYR per night. Tips: Check-in is at 2 PM, but it can be very crowded and slow. The value for money isn't great, but the unobstructed view of the towers is a big plus. You can upgrade a standard king room to a tower view room for an additional 100 MYR per night upon arrival.

Nice hotel in the city center of Kuala Lumpur. The hotel is located in the best area of the city, there are a lot of green trees around it. Good breakfast with different cuisines (Chinese, Indian and European). You need to walk 5 mins to get to the main attraction (Pentronas Towers).
