The boss is very nice! Very welcoming and easy going. The room is cheap and can be stayed here if you are in a hurry to catch a train. It is only 10 minutes away from the entrance of Kunming Railway Station. The facilities are old but clean.

I booked a standard room this time. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, even worse than a farmhouse: the bedding has not been updated (smells of sweat); the hygiene is poor (dust is everywhere on the furniture); the coat hanger is almost falling apart (the fixing screws are loose); the squat toilet in the bathroom is not shown in the picture, but the price is 90 yuan/night (10-20 yuan higher than other hotels of the same grade with squat toilets); there is no washstand in the bathroom (only a plastic basin); there is no bracket for the shower head in the bathroom (must hold it when bathing); the wifi signal is close to zero most of the time. The most unbearable thing was the foul smell that filled the entire room and could not be eliminated even by opening the windows. It felt like I was sleeping in the toilet all night. If it weren't for the decent location (very close to Kunming Station and subway station) and the boss refunding me 15 yuan for the room, I would have canceled the reservation.
