Dianchi Garden Resort Hotel & Spa Reviews

The hotel has a mix of old and newly renovated rooms. The old rooms are really worn down as we were stay in the older rooms for the first night. We were upgraded to the newer ones for the second and third night thanks to the hotel management. New room are fitted with smart technology and amenities were complete in the room and all other facilities were working fine. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Surrounding area is nice, especially hotel backyard with beautiful scenery from every corner of the hotel room facing a clean lake. Fantastic location within walking distance to the big Dianchi Lake & Yunan Nationalist Villages & easy access to the famous Western Hill. It was great spending 3 days there.

We had a wounferful stay in this hotel. We have even been upgraded ! The staff was very welcoming and helpful, we recommand it if you are in kunming and want to visit the lake dianchi !

absolutely amazing hotel. The location is perfect. You can see the yunnan nationalities village, take a cableway ride or take a boat ride and see the seagulls all within walking distance. The hotel has great facilities as well to just spend a day relaxing at the hotel with tennis courts, spa and swimming pool.

the servers there are very helpful, they tend to give their hands when needed. They always show their smiling face, we enjoy that very much.

Nice resort look. Room had a breezy balcony, no AC was needed in early September, day or night. Short walk to the Dianchi lake. Bus station is across the road with access to many busses. Take bus 44, 2 stations to Subway Yuhucun station and line 5 (about 1 mile from the hotel), Rent a bike (70 Yuan/day), Beautiful ride doing the north loop of the lake, about 20 Km 2 hours, most of the path is wide, dedicated bike trail, only the last 2/3 Km is a bit tricky (going CCW) Just outside the hotel people are selling tickets to the Xishan, West Hill top (bus and cable car ride for 90 Yuan/person, about a half-day trip) Ms Moon with ctrip at the front desk was very helpful.

Excellent hotel, close to tourist attractions, beautiful interior

Location is great! Next to the Dianchi Lake and 5 minutes away from Yunnan Nationalities park. Hotel is old, but nice. Territory is green, you can walk by the lake. Air conditioner works good, there are electronic sheets in beds and additional heater. There is anti mosquitoes spray in the room. The drain system doesn’t work good in the bathroom but it’s not a very big problem.

The hotel is really a garden hotel, with a large lake, various small bridges, fountains and paths in the yard, the restaurant food is of good quality, standard, delicious, hygienic, the front desk staff (Ms. Zhou, the manager, the bellboy) are enthusiastic, patient and diligent

This time I came to Kunming, my wife is the third time and I am the second time staying in this hotel. Just like the name of the hotel, "Dianchi" and "Garden" are the keywords of the hotel. It only takes a few minutes from the hotel to Dianchi Haigeng Park, and you can go to the edge of Dianchi Lake to see the sea every day. As for the hotel environment, it is a big garden with grass and lakes. On the balcony of the room, sipping tea, listening to music, reading books, looking at the West Mountain opposite, and following the sunset, it is undoubtedly the most pleasant moment. The hotel dinner focuses on Huaiyang cuisine, the special sauce beef tastes unique, and the service is impeccable. The only thing is that the facilities are a bit lacking. There is no public laundry room. After a pleasant day, you still have to wash your clothes by yourself, which is really a little helpless.

The hotel where I stayed at the first stop in Kunming. It takes about 50 minutes from the airport to the hotel. After all, it is an old hotel, but the simplicity of the facilities is still beyond imagination. It may be related to the fact that I usually stay in star-rated hotels, but it is acceptable. The scenery of the hotel is very good during the day. There are not many people during the stay. It is very quiet. There is a big lake next to the hotel, but I didn’t see pigeons. There are many squirrels in the trees😂 I think the breakfast is okay. It is definitely not as good as star-rated hotels, but the basic requirements can be met. The rice noodles are delicious. The attractions around the hotel are very convenient. It takes more than ten minutes to get there by taxi. Overall, it is okay, suitable for families and elderly people, quiet, green, and travelers who do not require high room facilities.

The hotel enjoys a great view of Dianchi Lake, with hot springs in the house and the lake visible from the window. Every second is like a vacation. The room has its own private hot spring. You can be awakened by the sparkling lake in the morning and count the stars in the hot spring at night. This is the correct way to enjoy a slow life in Yunnan! A very satisfying stay. The garden is beautiful. Birds are singing and flowers are fragrant. It is close to Dianchi Lake. The mountains and waters are the same color. Opposite is the Folk Village. The natural environment is very beautiful
