Next door is the beautiful ”Bacheng Wetland Park”. The only drawback is that there are too few tourists and no supporting restaurants. You can only order takeout or go to ”Zhengyi Old Street/Shangtang Street” a few kilometers away to eat special food: bubble wontons

The transportation is convenient, about 500 meters from Zu Chongzhi Station of Metro Line 11. Clean and hygienic nearby Tongcheng Garden and various delicious food.

If you need to be in Kunshan, this is a decent place. I booked it because it was close to a place I was going for a meeting and in a lot of ways it's a pretty standard high end business hotel in a non first tier city. But there were some nice surprises like a bath tub the room and it had some of the fastest internet access I've had the pleasure of using in China (which was great for a multi-hour video conference I had that night with Europe). Bed was firm but not a board, good pillows. Decent selection for breakfast the next morning but the coffee was a bit weak so the Starbucks around back if the building or the Luckin a block away (if you're a Luck in fan) were good to know about. Not a lot of dining within walking distance but a couple kilometers up the road over near Duke Kunshan there were some interesting dining options including decent pizza and Southeast Asian food.

The front desk lady provided very good service and upgraded the room type for free. The hotel is located in a villa area and is very quiet. The restaurant on the seventh floor has a good view of Yangcheng Lake. We arrived at the hotel in the evening and took a beautiful photo of the sunset by the Yangcheng Lake.

I received a call from the hotel's Gold Lounge manager one day in advance, who asked about check-in and needed to arrange it in advance. They provided butler service. After arriving at the hotel, I paid to upgrade to a lake view room with a private balcony and a wide view. The lake view was beautiful and the price-performance ratio was perfect. In addition, the hotel has a wide range of recreational activities, including kayaking, honey bee watching, handicrafts, pottery, etc. I also took my kids to experience honey bee watching on the second day. Under the patient guidance of Sister Ping, the children unlocked a new experience in life and were very happy. It was a very happy two days. I will come again next time!
