Excellent location. Helpful staff, regardless of languages spoken. Small room and uncomfortable mattress. Otherwise outstanding.

The ladies at the lobby were extremely kind. They went above and behind explaining how to get to our destination until we understood in English for us. The breakfast at the cafeteria was okay and I liked the selections for the drinks too. The room was very clean and perfect for our family!

Hotel is 5 mins walk from the train station and 15 mins walk to Kawaramuchi-dori street. It is also 3 stops away from Kyoto station so to me, good location. There is 7-eleven and Lawson nearby too so you can grab breakfast from there. The room is quite big for hotel in Kyoto. Clean and comfortable. You have to give your key at the counter when you leave the hotel each time. I have no issue with that because it takes off the worry of losing your keys. Staffs are friendly. The only comment I would say is the hallway lights are a bit dim so it gives off this horror vibes. But after awhile you just get used to it. The laundry is not within hotel so if you are looking to wash your clothes, you have to wash it elsewhere. I would come back to this hotel if I am in Kyoto.

Hotel was in a good location, staff was friendly and hotel was always clean. The location was good for my Itinerary, I didn’t have to go as far.

The hotel's location is fantastic, very close to Karasuma Oike Subway Station and 1.5 kilometers from the Kamogawa River. The Kyoto Museum is also nearby, and the Gion Festival is perfect in the summer, as you can see it from your upstairs room.
The room was very clean and excellent value for money. Coffee, toner, lotion, and hair brushes are available at the front desk. My only complaint was the spotty Wi-Fi signal, but otherwise, I was very satisfied.
