What a remarkable experience while staying at this hotel. From its leadership staff to housekeeping, from rooms to the exercise facility - all are very clean, very comfortable, and are very accommodating.   They continue to go over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who is looking for a short vacation, business travel or plan to utilize the extended-stay accommodations. This is the perfect hotel for a weekend getaway. The convenience and the local amenities in the area are the best kept secret and the Sonesta Simply Suites / Atlanta Gwinnett Place offers everything you need if you don’t feel like venturing too far out into the City of Atlanta. Our extended-stay time has taken us through several experiences and holiday seasons. And to see how the staff accommodates not only our family, but the entire tenant guest-list on these special holidays have been extremely personal, engaging and refreshing. Undoubtedly, the management team are the core of Sonesta Simply Suites / Atlanta Gwinnett Place success. In particular, one MVP, the Operations Manager named (Gee).   Gee’s leadership and oversight is felt throughout the hotel and property; as she goes over and beyond to ensure that Sonesta Simply Suites / Atlanta Gwinnett Place customers and tenants have exceptional experiences. All service-centric businesses (hotels) have different touch-points (operations, check-in, front-desk, housekeeping, memberships, parking, etc.) throughout their organization. At each touch-point customers can recognize her DNA which is very apparent.     Moreover, my family and I love both the character and the charm of this hotel - Sonesta Simply Suites / Atlanta Gwinnett Place which does not give you the routine chain hotel vibe at all. Sonesta Simply Suites / Atlanta Gwinnett Place has hit an “HOME RUN” within the Gwinnett County Community and with our family. It is our most generous pleasure to write this review giving Sonesta Simply Suites / Atlanta Gwinnett Place, Gēe (Operations Manager) and her staff the highest review and would rate them 11 out of the 5 STARS model.

Our room was clean and our bed was comfortable. Good to have a microwave and refrigerator. TV was large! Plenty of hot water. Our room was quiet - we couldn't hear sounds from anyone else's room or outside much and the heat/AC unit was quiet as well. The staff was pleasant at check-in and check out. This hotel is an excellent value - I will choose it again when we are in the area.

My family and I arrived at the Country Inn and Suites in Lawrenceville Ga for a two night stay Feb 4-6. around 3pm. Upon check in we were told we could not check in because the credit card machine was down. I was told to come back in an hour or pay with cash. The problem with that is we just drove 7 hours and were trying to get to a funeral. We didn’t have an hour. We needed to get ready. I explained this to the woman at the front desk and her response was, either pay cash or go to another hotel. She even suggested a Hampton Inn up the street. She started to get an attitude. I booked this reservation on the website, my credit card information was on there, so I honestly didn’t see what the problem was. I then proceeded to call customer service and got someone named Jay. Jay called the hotel and was told the same thing, so he said there was nothing he could do. Customer Service could do nothing? What I don’t understand is if you know you have people coming in with a reservation, why no courtesy call to tell us we needed cash or given us time to book a reservation somewhere else? This was a very difficult trip to make, as I mentioned we were there for the funeral of a dear friend. I started to cry, it was embarrassing. No one tried to help. They just wanted us gone. Needless to say we ended up staying two nights at the competing Marriott Fairfield Inn and Suites. Thankfully they had the same King Suite we had originally booked with Country Inn.

Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff. Lots of choices for breakfast! We were assigned king w/jacuzzi, bed was comfortable and the room were spacious.Good relaxing break! Friendly, welcoming staff, very good location. Overall an enjoyable stay. The hotel is old and could do with some renovation, but it seems like this issue is being addressed.”

Very clean, friendly staff, good breakfast. Room was ready & clean, plenty of towels. WIFI instructions easy to follow & TV remote & instructions same. Ice machine easily accessable. I would stay here next time we are in the area.

It's a hotel for no more a couple of nights, but still acceptable

I liked it because it is very clean and newly built hotel, good parking area.
