Would definitely recommend this place. You get to see the real old Chinese architecture and it’s very interesting to see the different crafts. The rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast is tasty

Dong Li Gu Cun was the most wonderful experience we had in China, with comfortable rooms and delicious meals. The staff is highly receptive and warm, with very good tips for the trip, and attention to details. We felt in heaven, in a awesome scenic area, with the true Chinese spirit. There are many options of activities throughout the village, from craftsmanship of chopsticks, porcelain, preparation of traditional food and beverages and much more. There are also many activities for children. Special thanks to Xia, Kay and Chen, for the cultural immersion and special attention, since we were the sole foreigners in the village. We highly recommend the Li River Craftsmen in the Spring Festival if you want to have a traditional experience, and we regret to spend only 4 days there, because we would like to stay at least a whole week. We intend to return in the near future.

It was a very comfortable trip. The front desk manager Xia took the initiative to upgrade our room type for free. The room was well maintained, especially the bedding was unexpectedly good. The entire scenic area is run by a company, with many accommodation options. The villa courtyard is more suitable for team building or gatherings. The staff are very simple and enthusiastic, but there were not many people on Women's Day, so the experience was particularly good, and you could pose for photos 😂 It would be right to choose the off-season for a trip with three or five friends. There will be many water games and handicraft projects in the summer for parent-child travel. The misty Li River is the most beautiful!

I learned about Dongli Ancient Village through the official account. It takes 40 minutes by taxi from Guilin North High-speed Railway Station. I am very grateful to the housekeeper Xia for the thoughtful arrangement during the three days, so that the children can experience riding a bullock cart. The whole village is quaint, the environment is beautiful, and the air is even better. Don't miss it if you like rural scenery. It is a holy place for playing in the water. I plan to come again in the summer vacation. I hope that the ancient village will continue to remain so simple and not be commercialized.

The housekeeper was very welcoming and answered all my questions. The room was upgraded during the off-season. The room was great and the bathroom was super large. I took a comfortable bath in the cold weather.

I stayed here for one night on the way to Haiyang Township. I was very satisfied. After checking in and checking out, there were housekeepers to carry luggage, which was very considerate. The surroundings were very quiet and it was nice to take pictures. The most satisfying thing was the breakfast. All the food surprised me and my friends. It was so delicious.

The hotel's breakfast was eaten in a restaurant. The variety of breakfast... was not very rich, and it felt a bit simple. One thing to say: I have a sensitive nose, and the central air conditioner in the hotel room is a bit dirty. The air blown out easily makes me sneeze due to allergies. I felt more comfortable when I walked to the balcony to breathe fresh air. I slept with a mask on all night. The hotel room service staff was very enthusiastic and helped to transport the luggage to the front desk when I checked out early in the morning. Thank you for your hard work!
