The Ivens Hotel was home to the first luxury warehouse in the city in the XIX century as well as of the first Portuguese public. The iconic building is in every way representative of the XIX century a period which has marked the spirit and culture of Lisbon. The hotel has 87 unique and comfortable rooms of which ten are spacious suites including two signature top floor suites. The entrance was mapped to resemble the journey of Ivens and Capelo, two of greatest Portuguese explorers to unveil Africa back on the XIX century. The hotel holds three cinematic dining areas designed by Lazaro Rosa Violan who offer a journey through Italian cuisine, al fresco dining and a Barra area.

Very good hotel, good location, a few minutes walk from the Bica and Justa elevator.
The hotel is beautifully decorated, full of Lisbon style, with details everywhere. The breakfast is delicious and the service attitude is great.

The room has enough space and is very hygienic. You can open the balcony door but cannot go out. The service is also good, but the location is not very convenient. At this price, there should be more and better options. I probably won't stay here again next time.

Spectacular short stay at The Ivens as part of a birthday trip. Staff was extremely helpful and the property is a feast for the eyes! Food was perfect - either for a quick drink and snack or complete meal. First time to Lisbon and The Ivens, but won’t be the last!

This is an amazing hotel in the heart of LIsbon, but on a quiet street away from the madness of the main squares. Hotel bar/restaurant is possibly the best hotel bar/restaurant we’ve ever stayed at! Special shoutout to concierge for helping us with alternative travel options during a national rail strike. Would definitely stay here again!

The definition of a "boutique hotel". Kept the charm of an older buildng, the warmth of a club, and added the intimate feel of home. Staff were all professional and personable. The location lots of Lisbon walkable. It's our "GO TO" stop in Europe by ship or by air - a real find.

The staff at the Ivan’s hotel is friendly and extremely efficient. We have stayed at many fine hotels and the Ivan’s is at the top of the list. We were staying there when the power grid in Spain and Portugal failed and everything went dark. The staff at the Ivan’s went above and beyond any reasonable customer expectations in helping us transfer to meet our tour. The Ivan’s is truly a five star hotel.

The Ivens is a very classy hotel. The staff and services are pleasant, top notch and eager to please. Lorenzo, a front doorman is a great asset and very helpful in many aspects. The hotel has a convenient downtown location. As Marriott Bonvoy members we had great complementary breakfasts. The restaurant, Rocco, is an active happening place in Lisbon.
