Altis Avenida Hotel

Baixa Lisbon|0.35km from Santa Justa Lift
I visited this place in march 2022 with my husband. The + of this hotel: - modern (I think they have redecorated it recently) - perfect situation (you are between Avenida da Liberdade with Restauradores square on one side and the Rossio square) and you have thus plenty of restaurants and shops right next to the hotel, as well as many places of interest to visit in the neighbourhood - a good restaurant at the top of the hotel with a great terrasse from where you can admire the city: the Rossio Gastrobar It is « tapas » kind and it was one of the best food we had during this 3 nights stay - a good breakfast offer in a room which is also situated on the roof top, on the other side of the gastrobar, though a little bit noisy when it is full - the rooms are correctly equipped and perfectly clean - though you are in an animated area, it is perfectly calm and quiet in the rooms The - now: - the bedrooms are very dark. We took one superior with balcony but still, all was black in this room and the view was…not what we expected, even if it was on a quite high floor. In fact most of them are facing their other hotel across the road. I bet you’d better take a suite to get an open view. - service is ok but very discreet (reception) or jaded (gastrobar). It was good at breakfast. Let me explain: I couldn’t get a reservation in any of the three restaurants I had asked for my last evening through the reception. I guess it saved me money :-) At Gastrobar, several waiters were acting as if they had not seen our signs, waiting for the only waitress that night to do it at their place (which she always did)

Raw Culture Art & Lofts Bairro Alto

Baixa Lisbon|0.37km from Santa Justa Lift
It started out rocky as the pickup we booked via hotel was 30 min late to get us at the airport. However the rest of our stay was still so good that I am willing to give it five stars. Room - huge lofts with kitchen and king bed and 3 half baths. No tub but shower was nice and strong. Concrete floor was great as we visited Lisbon in 100 degree weather. The robe and slipper provided were high quality as was the large bath towels. It was a nice touch to get a free liter of water and a small wine as a welcome Breakfast - included with our stay is awesome. Freshly made to order as this place only has 12 lofts. We got scrabbled eggs every day that came with these tomatoes and sliced ham that was simply delicious. Location - is in the midst of bars and restaurants. Many good places nearby. Thankfully with double pane windows, it was pretty quiet for us to sleep even though many party late in the night outside. Only inconvenience is Uber or bolt cannot pick up at door as its in an alleyway. Need to walk 100ft to Main Street to get a Uber or bolt. Bed - roomy and comfortable. They do put two twin together with a big cushion on top but it was very nice bed. Staff - super friendly and helpful. Maria checked us in and was very nice and Philip gave us free welcome drinks and showed us to a restaurant right outside he liked. We liked it too and had a nice dinner for only 30 euros of sardines and grilled sea bream. Yum. I would definitely book again.

Dare Lisbon House is a lovely boutique hotel in central Lisbon. Located minutes from both the main tourist plaza (where you catch your tours) and Commerce Square, it is an ideal location for seeing Lisbon. We were able to walk or take a short Uber ride everywhere we wanted to go. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and the hotel is impeccably clean. They offer Portuguese wine in the lobby and keep your fridge fully stocked with yummy breakfast items (plus they hang a bag of fresh bread on your door each day). We stayed in the apartment with the loft and it was perfect for our family of 3. Our unit was air conditioned, but there is also a great cross breeze if you prefer open windows. I would definitely stay here again!

Excellent service from start to finish; reception friendly answers and advice. Lift to rooms. Perfect location in centre of Baixa so close to all you need, and to the key tram terminals to make it easier to get on one; and to Rossio train and metro stations. A huge number of restaurants nearby to choose from.

Firstly, the location of this lovely, small hotel is perfect. Right in the middle of the old town beside the Santa Justa Lift. This is only a 20 room hotel, so nice and private. The reception is on the 5th Floor, where you have breakfast and tea, coffee and cake at other times of the day. Wee arrived later in the evening and were warmly welcomed. As we checked in they offered a small glass of Port and a Pastel De Nata. How can you refuse! Rooms are perfect for city breaks. TV, Large bathroom. Bed was Kingsize, so plenty room too. The buffet breakfast was a nice continental one. Boiled eggs, meats, cheese, fresh baked bread and rolls. Some small cakes too. Yogurt and various toppings were also provided. If back in Lisbon I'd certainly use the hotel again.

We booked a room for few days in this very central location in Lisbon – obviously close to the famous Lift, and within walking distance of many interesting places. The hotel is newly renovated, and we had an upgrade to the new Lift Apartments. It could be used for a large family or even two families and has a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The TV had many channels, including English speaking and free access to for instance Netflix. And by the way, super wi-fi. The breakfast was delicious. We experienced service throughout the hotel, just what you would expect and even more. We had a friendly and informative welcome mail before arrival, friendly service at the reception, generous staff for breakfast and again friendly cleaning staff. The last day we received a handwritten personal greeting from the staff – a small gesture, however, much appreciated.

Just across the road from the lift, there are a lot of restaurants nearby, 5 minutes from the subway station, very convenient, but the soundproofing is really bad, a few nights, I was drunk next door to the big brother and chat in the hallway. If the girl wants to wash her hair, go to the front desk and ask if there is no hair dryer, or bring it on her own. I want to wash my hair one night, but the front desk uncle said that they only have 3 sets but they have been taken away. The next morning, they will take it again. I asked once, but no one used it to return to the front desk. Fortunately, after the washing, the same room sister came back for lunch break, and brought her own use. If you want to live with this, you must bring your equipment together, otherwise it will be passive.
