DoubleTree by Hilton London – West End

Hotel room was cramped, there was barely 50 cm on each side of the bed and the room was shaped like a used shape so it was a little bit claustrophobic. The view outside the window was as purified below and there was construction going on. I struggle to lock the window almost couldn’t which was about 2 m off the ground. The reception staff were either too busy or just rude. The tea coffee was placed in the cabinet and the pull-out bed fell about 15 cm from the cabinet so it was understandable for me to not be able to find the tea coffee. However when I rang downstairs, they were very helpful And while I walked away to check in case I had missed it they hung up on me. When I called back nobody answered. I just found the Service route on that day that evening. Another group of staff came on mostly mail and they were great friendly and very helpful. I would not book these rooms again. The hotel is great and in a great place but the rooms are not worth the charges.

Staff were lovely and extremely friendly. Good location and room was perfect for work. Lobby area was great for work too.

No problems with anything until the fire shark went off this morning at 7.15am. Very disappointing that no fire Marshall’s or any procedures were in place. We got downstairs guests were sat in the lobby and in the bar. Receptionists were still checking guests out and staff behind the bar was making a drink. No checks no nothing . Lifts were still in use. Very concerning. Spoilt a lovely stay . Could have been a real disaster if there had been a fire

Lovely hotel in a great central location for everything wanted to do. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The choice for breakfast was excellent and we ate in the restaurant one evening and again, the food was lovely. Will definitely be staying here again.
