Monarch House - Serviced Apartments - Kensington

Excellent location right on Kensington high st. Near the metro station and lots of bus stops around. There's a waitrose right beside it which was just great and convenient. Walking distance from Notting Hill and Hyde Park. Staff were very friendly. We had a 2-br unit which was huge and clean. Complete kitchen equipment for cooking. The only downside was the timing, full renovation was going on at the entrance. They had to fully close it halfway our stay and we had to enter/exit through the basement parking which made it a bit of a hassle. Also, after check out, needed to use the toilet which apparently they didn't have. The staff merely told me "No toilet", shrugged and offered no alternatives whatsoever. This was before an hour & a half car ride to the airport so imagine my torture. If this was the case, having no public toilet, you should be prepared to have alternatives (e.g. where the nearest public toilet is at). The staff didn't offer help, they just told me "try the restaurants around".

We travelled to London for a week during half term with my husband and our twin boys of 11 yrs old. We opted for the option of serviced apartments instead of hotel as we enjoy the space, flexibility and privacy they offer, coupled with the safety of a 24/7 emergency service. Monarch house ticked all the boxes and more! We felt at home from the moment we arrived. Accommodation was extremely clean and tidy. The two bedroom apartment was very spacious, offering two large bedrooms, two large bathrooms, fully equipped large kitchen with washing machine, spacious living and dining area and even storage area for our luggage. We appreciated the fact that the facility was warm and cozy and the beds and linen were extremely comfortable. During the week the apartment was serviced three times with linen change (which was more than expected). I particularly want to mention the staff! Heartfelt friendly and polite, offering to help in anything we asked for. The location of the place is super! You are within walking distance from High Street Ken and Earls Court tube while there are numerous bus services running just outside the door. There is a Waitrose just next to the facility and numerous, lovely food options for quick bites etc just a minute away. For breakfast we had buns and pastries delivered to our door or opted to walk just 2 minutes to the nearby bakeries in the early morning fresh air. A couple of evenings we stayed in for a home movie evening with the boys, after a day in the city, cozying with a blanket on the sofa, and the apartment offered just the facility for this! Monarch House made our stay feel home, exactly as we wished for! We are definitely staying there next time we are in the city. Thank you! M

Staff very polite and friendly. Rooms very clean and spacious. Wonderful location with all the great parks within walking distance. Fully enjoyed our stay at London because of Monarch House. Thank you to all that makes this place exceptional. Will come back!

As a family of 4, we stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment for 5 nights and we had a great overall experience. First of, the apartment was clean and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The best part was the location with easy access to the tube, grocery stores and coffee shops.

Clean and neat apartments, helpful staff. Well stocked and lots of closet space. Bathrooms were modern and it seems like the reception area and walkway to the reception have been renovated. Looks nice Clothes washer and dryer was not the best, would be better to get individual washers and dryers vs the combined units.

We booked our stay at Monarch House based on TripAdvisor reviews, and those reviews were spot on. Not only was the one bedroom apartment we stayed in one of the most spacious, but it was fully equipped, and all appliances worked. Monarch House is very conveniently located on Kensington High Street, just next to a Waitrose supermarket and close to the underground station. Almost all high street shops are on Kensington high street as are some fine restaurants, and with Holland Park just opposite, and Kensington Gardens a short walk away, it really is a perfect location. With The Royal Albert Hall, Brompton Oratory and many museums close by, almost all entertainment options are close at hand, and the rest easily accessible. The servicing of the apartment was done every other day, and meticulously. The staff were friendly and helpful and made this definitely one of our best stays in London. We visit London every year, and since 2012, have always stayed in serviced apartments. This one stands out! I highly recommend this place, and for sure it will be where we stay in future.
