Bedford Hotel

My stay at The Bedford Hotel in London was an absolute delight – a perfect blend of historic charm and modern comfort right in the heart of Covent Garden. From the moment I arrived, the elegant Victorian facade and cozy lobby made me feel instantly at home, setting the tone for a memorable trip. The location can’t be beaten: steps from bustling Covent Garden Market, the West End theaters, and tube stations like Leicester Square and Charing Cross, yet the rooms offered a peaceful retreat with plush bedding, spotless bathrooms, and thoughtful touches like tea trays and fluffy robes. Staff went above and beyond with friendly recommendations for nearby pubs and hidden gems, making solo exploration effortless and fun. Whether grabbing breakfast in the sunny dining area or unwinding after a day of sightseeing, everything felt seamless and welcoming. The Bedford delivers fantastic value in a prime spot – I’ll be back next time London calls!

What a great location - just around the corner from Russell Square, and near the British Museum, and walking distance to everything! We had a twin room with a street view - despite this it was not noisy as the windows were soundproofed and they could open. The beds were comfortable and good pillows. Separate toilet from the bathroom which had a bathtub. Good design of the room gave you space for a large desk and large cupboard. Friendly helpful reception staff and chamber maid. We really liked it at the Bedford and will come back. Highly recommended!

Very good located Hotel, near several public transport stations, easy to get quite everywhere in LDR quickly. Clean room, very nice room maids. Sometimes the hotel was a little noisy, staff on reception could be a little more attentive, I asked for a room far from the escalator, I got one almost in front of an escalator. All in all I enjoyed my stay and plan to return.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this Hotel. My single room was clean and had everything I needed. The bed was comfortable, the room warm and there was a nice view from the window to the back of the hotel. The staff on reception were very helpful on arrival and likewise the breakfast team was an excellent with one staff member remembering I had selected vegan sausages the day before! I have stayed in lots of hotels over the years and I think this one provided value for money unfriendly staff.. We found it an excellent base for the West End and Theatre land due to its location near the tube. I would definitely stay here again.

I have visited the Bedford hotel many times over at least 20 years and always enjoyed my stay there. The reception staff have always been incredibly helpful and pleasant at all times. The restaurant staff too were very pleasant and friendly and very diligent in their duties
