Misleading advertisement, says private towels but they're not included, says we have to pay £2 each to hire the towel.

Brilliantly situated YHA in London with affordable private rooms, cafe, bar, communal kitchen, lounge, clean rooms and comfy beds. About a 30minute scenic walk to Tower Bridge, an excellent location for budget travellers.

The service is appalling, with the rooms not clean regularly creating an unsatisfactory feel to the room.The bathroom had a hole in the floor and a huge well in the floor causing a slip hazard. As well as that hair was found on the walls of the shower creating a disgusting disturbance. The people in the hostel as well were very rude as a women came out in a shirt and lingerie scream at the people in our hallway giving us a terrible time and terrors through the night. With further investigation to this disturbance we later found out it was here school childeren creating the disturbance. Along side this, the people here were reckless with our luggage and broken belongings were found later while opening our suitcases. This horrific experience left us all scared for out safety and sanitary cleanliness with the lack of cleaner in the builders. To get to sleep that night, we found nibbles in our bed sheet from what looked like rats or human damage causing us to worry. With the lack of sleep and night terrors all night I WOULD NOT RECOMEND, this hotel for any other school or friends looking for a place to stay for the night!

If you’re looking for a cheap single room in a hostel in London, this is the place for you. I got a private room with a bathroom for two nights for 76 quid which is very good for London. The room was very basic but has everything you need & a shared kitchen. Wouldn’t say it was the cleanest but unsurprising for that price. It’s close to an overground and underground station, 10-15 minutes walk. You can easily access the centre but the area itself is very quiet. I felt safe in the hostel and the staff were nice and friendly. It frustrates me that I have to say things like this but unfortunately if you’re a solo woman getting to the hostel in the dark from the tube - get a bus. The roads were dead silent walking to the hostel and I had the unpleasant experience of being followed by someone in a car. I should hope this was an isolated incident but I recommend being cautious nonetheless. Not a comment on the hostel at all - but just a bad reality of London. Would stay here again.

The room was lovely, better than most hostels I've stayed in. Security was very tight with card admission on all doors. The lounge/cafe area upstairs is bright and big. Reception was always staffed. There is a convenient bus stop outside and a Co-op a 15 minute walk away. The nearest transport interchange for buses/Tube and overland train is a 15 minute walk away along the water. The area felt very safe but a bit remote if you want some nightlife. There is a very small self-catering kitchen which was manically busy on Sunday night - maybe buy a microwave meal for the weekends. Overall a wonderful stay and I would definitely come back.
