"This was the cleanest and nicest experience I have ever had at a budget motel. The staff was really nice. It was a very busy weekend for the town (George Strait) and I don't think they were used to being fully booked up on one night and having to turn over the entire hotel for the next night being booked up with new guests. We arrived a little after check out and they didn't have a room quite ready yet, but we didn't have to wait long and they were very nice and apologetic about it. The property has clearly been renovated recently and was very clean. I share the same complaint as other reviews regarding the shower not having a door, curtain, or lip to catch the water and heat. We just kept the door shut and put a towel down and it wasn't that big of a deal, but definitely a design flaw. The door into the room also had some fitting issues. There were clear gaps. Luckily, this didn't cause any safety, noise, or temperature control issues, but again this was a clear design / fitting issue. Loved that they had a Firestick TV in the room and I was able to sign into my streaming services, because who watches live TV anymore? JK JK. We were right next to the highway, so you could hear cars passing by. If you like white noise while sleeping, this is a great substitute, but if you need dead quite, they offer free earplugs at the desk! The bed was not the best, but all-in-all this was a good place to hang your hat and call home for a night."

"The rooms were not maintained or clean very well fixtures in room were damaged. Parts of cabinets were missing and closet. Door was not even usable. Sink still had hair clippings from previous tenants. The morning breakfast ends at nine. We went to have breakfast 30 minutes before it was over and there was nothing left. Nothing restocked no drinks only coffee a lot of people were frustrated. Not a pleasant day. Will not be back."

"Very good location and great pool shower in room dirty main floor guest bathroom was filthy not cleaned or restocked for the 14 hrs we were there we were on 2nd floor and very noisy above us till midnight at 2 am someone tried to enter our room if it was not for second dary lock they would of walked In door was 2inches open when I woke in morning"

"Holiday Inn is arguably the best value hotel in the US. The one in Lubbock is even better – clean, tidy, and comfortable. I stayed there for two nights and was surprised to find it cleaned every day. The friendly Black man at the front desk was very welcoming and kept recommending good restaurants nearby. I would definitely choose this hotel again next time."

"Good location, spacious rooms, comfortable beds. Fast check in and out. Limited breakfast choices. The desk chair in the room couldn’t go up and was dirty (spots and hair - probably from a pet). I left my pajamas on the bed in the morning and found a note left by the cleaning lady. She apologized for not making up my bed since there was a personal item left on it. This has never happened to me before."

"Th breakfast, drinks and food were good. Staff was friendly. The hotel itself needs to be dozed, it is awful. Probably was nice 30 years ago. Door frames of room were rusted. Lots of caulk in the tub around the grab bar. Furniture was so warn. It looked terrible. Chairs and sofa were ancient. This was not a hotel I would return to or recommend to anyone. Not sure where the rating came from."

"Third time staying at La Quinta and it gets better every time! I attended their breakfast in the morning and was blown away! Big spread of food and make your own waffles! Waffles are my go to and making them fresh in front of my eyes was wonderful! A great experience!"
