Extremely clean room. We loved the contemporary design. Everything looked really new when we were there. We stayed in the small room. Some might find it a little tight. But it was okay for us. Really nice breakfast spread. Only downer is that there was a little musty or damp smell in our room. Just a little whenever we entered. Other than that it was great.

JC Residency redefines hospitality to make the guests feel at home. Being a three star facilty they make the guests feel more then welcome. The team handling the guests is ever present like eversmiling Suthakar who helped us out with authentic vegetarian food, which we enjoyed thoroughly. The room and the lobby feels like a quant place, where one can visit time and again

Avea is a modern style guesthouse. All facilities such as a hot shower, AC and WiFi worked well. The bed was comfortable. Towel and soap, toiletpaper all routinely provided. The accommodation is kept very clean. Drinking water and boiling water to make your own coffee or tea is included. Staff want to give good service to the guest. It is not a place where you just get a room for a certain time and that is it. The location is not directly in the city center, but in Anna Nagar which means you have to deal with rickshaw drivers. Staff will assist you. I walked up and down to town and the bus stations. Arappalayam bus stand (Munnar, Coimbatore destinations) is 6 km away. Mattuthavani bus station (Chennai destination) is at a distance of 3 km. Keep in mind Madurai city center is very congested (narrow streets with a lot of noise and exhaust fumes). Anna Nagar is where the city middle class lives. It is more quiet and restaurants are of better standards. Stayed four days.

I really talked about this hotel, not because MARRIOTT is full, this is the closest hotel, I really can't live anymore, the hotel is old, the health is not good, the towel, stinky to die. I obviously have a twin room and don't give it to me. I have to give it to Ctrip. I have a time difference. I can't do it at 2-3 in the morning. I originally booked Club room. I am staying here right now, after leaving Chennai and the Leela Palace. Huge difference which is expected. In Madurai, there are basically no other options, if you want consistency, a newish hotel, a well-known brand (again, consistency), and on-site dining options. That’s why we chose this hotel. The hotel common areas are impressive and beautiful. The staff is extremely helpful. They arranged a great tour with guide, for the Temple, which is a must! Ask for VJ! Rooms: They are very tired and pretty beaten up, probably because there are no real options here. They are simple, nice and the shower has great pressure. You’ll need that with the heat. Restaurant/Common Areas: pretty good. Excellent service. They will get you whatever you need. also very clean and spacious. Impressive lobby, as Courtyard in the US is definitely not like this! Location: traffic is everywhere in India. But this location is pretty ideal for the Temple. It’s a decent 40 min ride from the airport. It’s very secure with pool, and fun kind of random on site bar (where I am now) and delish drinks too. All in all, this Hotel is the only choice if you want consistent cleanliness with some luxury in Madurai. It’s also very reasonable.

The front desk service was very good, but the business was very bad. To the hotel, don't let early check in understand, the front desk asks for the price, go to the restaurant to buy breakfast, the price of the restaurant is not the same as the price given by the front desk. Breakfast is not expensive, but meals are average. The room hardware is very good, the air conditioning is also very powerful, but the refrigerator is very old, very noisy in the general heritage of the manor. The hygienic situation only looks beautiful, and if the wooden floor is stepped on, it will soon be dark. There are also a few large flies flying in the room, hey, a little disgusting. Had stayed for two nights with family, the main highlight of the stay besides clean room and excellent complimentary breakfast spread was the exceptional service by the staff right from security to cleaning each and every one of them was polite and helpful. Definitely recommend this hotel for an exceptional stay experience. Kudos to the staff and management. Please keep up the good work.

The ***ager of the restaurant was kind, but I ordered a local beer, but they brought an imported beer without explanation and drank it as if it were local.
