Still very nice hotel Relative to this price, the hotel room is not small, quite large, and ample. The hotel’s breakfast is very recommended, 8.9 Euros every day, full variety, and very well managed. The room is fairly clean and the bathroom layout is reasonable. The location is not close to the train station, not too easy to find, but not far from the Mannheim water tower. The staff is very welcoming.

Tolles sauberes Zimmer mit Wohlfühlfaktor, Service super und freundlich, sehr hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück vielfältig und abwechslungsreich. We arrived at the hotel after a long travel day in the early evening and the receptionist was very friendly, listened and gave us two nice rooms with views towards the city (rather than the station and rail-tracks). The rooms were clean and had amenities such as a kettle. What really rocked was the breakfast. An excellent choice of cold and warm, a very good handmade fruit-salad and bircher musli. As I am someone using the stairs rather than the elevator to do some steps, I really enjoyed the motivating messages on each floor of the staircase. Good idea! Overall great value for our money. Thank you so much for this wonderful stay, we will come back when the opportunity arises.

Clean and modern hotel, great breakfast to start your day and most importantly it's 5 mins walk to Mannheim main train station and 2 mins walk to the tram station to Mannheim shopping district. Front office staff were welcoming and courteous, thanks for making my stay wonderful. Best part of the hotel is the view of the train station and absolutely zero noise from outside, which makes your stay very comfortable.

First off, understand that Ludwigshafen is not a happening place. I was here for business, for which I feel the place would be adequate for a day or two stay, but not the week I was here. I titled this as ”try hard”, as that's what I hear my kids call someone who is tries hard and fails, which I feel fits since the hotel tries really hard to be modern and hip. Moxy is Marriot's new brand aimed at the youth and the copies board games, lockers, random graffiti and whatnot scattered around the lobby would imply they are going that way. Considering most of the time it was filled with old businessmen like me would say they might want to consider having this in a more appropriate location. Moxy Lu is a very spartan hotel. No restaurant to speak of - on Sunday I asked if they had any lunch offerings as nothing is around there and they told me their one and only oven, used to cook breakfast, was broken and wouldn't be working for at least a few hours. There is a very solid Italian restaurant next door but you don't want to eat that every day. There's also right now a Christmas market nearby but the opening timing for it is very variable. It's also next to the Rhine mall but understand that German business hours are earlier than American so it closes early and is closed entirely on Sunday. Rooms are clearly advertised as capsule types and they are very reminiscent of Japanese capsule rooms - a bed, bathroom, a chair, and that's it. A hook on the wall and 4 hangers is all your clothes storage, a 6 inch wide, 2 foot long glass panel sticking out from the wall is your ”desk”, and that's it. No safe, no shelves, no coffee machine, nothing. Definitely not where I wanted to spend a week, but that's not their fault. The hotel is very new and is very clean overall. Also a plus that it is very quiet. I've been in hotels where I could literally hear the person walking around next door. All that said, why 3 stars? Well, as clean as it was, there was a long black hair at eye level in the shower when I first stepped in. As I'm folically challenged, I'm certain it wasn't mine. Secondly, one of the elevators broke multiple times while I was there, once trapping a person in there for 15 minutes while I was in the lobby. He eventually tumbled out, angry, scared, and half-clothed (took off some clothes as he was feeling very hot). Said elevator was not flagged as being out of order for at least an hour after as I was in and out. Eventually it was. It had an out of order sign still on it on my second day despite being in use...assumed this was an error before the guy got caught in front of me. Not good management of an issue, I feel.

Very cozy room, all available, including water cooker with coffee/tea self-service. Bets: super sleeping Rooms can be completely dark No street/train noise heard, wonderfully quiet Service very friendly, breakfast buffet everything there is constantly re-filled. Rational price/performance ratio. Thank you to all who do their job so wonderfully in the hotel! We will come back in any case!

Beim Austritt aus dem Fahrstuhl in den Flur ist die Richtungsangabe der Zimmer um ca.1m versetzt. Im Zimmer unter der Bettdecke lag ein ca. 30cm langes Haar und unter der Clobrille befand sich ein brauner Spritzer. Am Frühstücksbuffett war der Getränke-Automat für Orangensaft nicht nutzbar, hier hätte man Orangensaft in Flaschen hinstellen können. Die Butter war so hart, daß sie nicht streichbar war. Am Besteckkasten auf dem Tisch hing rote Marmelade, die mindestens noch vom Vortag war, da wir bereits um 6.15 Uhr gefrühstückt haben.

The hotel is very habitual and dirty. The tape floors are blinded and severely polluted. The room service is totally overburdened, does not speak German and must bring his children to work, since no other care is possible. We were there three nights and had no room service any day except the last day two hours before we cleared the room. The staff are mostly very unfriendly and rough when you ask questions and not find all things in the same way, for example, at breakfast or understand the function of all machines in the same way. We had problems late night with the code to open the entrance door. After not only we, but also three other families were unable to access, we chose the emergency number that was passed, so we were immediately called that we were too stupid and that our children should not be left to the technology. The problem was that we probably did not have selected all the keys with the same pressure and then the system first takes a break and shows this by a little red light, which we probably did not see or understand. The breakfast is limited to the price of € 10.50. The claim that 90% of the bioware is offered here is measured or in no way identifiable and understandable. The hotel is actually just a better youth hostel and absolutely inpersonal, interestless and ignorant. But perhaps it must be so to keep the price called.

We were so glad to see this fully renovated hotel open in time for our visit to the Heidelberg Christmas Market (original opening date was projected for the end of December). The Hilton Heidelberg is an incredible facility, surpassed only by the amazing team working to provide the best possible experience! We have never been so graciously welcomed by so many on the team, including the General Manager, Remmie. Margarita and Katerina took great care of us during check in and were even able to upgrade us to a Junior Suite - what a welcome surprise! After settling in to our room, we had the pleasure of meeting Lubeth in the Executive Lounge who took care of every need and made us feel so welcome - always with a smile! The management team is definitely committed to hiring the best, but they are also clearly committed to leading by example. Vladimir (the restaurant manager) made a point of introducing himself and checking to be sure we were enjoying our stay and Sonja was so gracious when we were visiting the restaurant. Brent stopped by while we were in the Executive Lounge to be sure we were enjoying our visit and asked if there was anything he could do to help. Tim (a Heidelberg local) took time to share some of his favorite spots around town, as well as the hotel amenities and make sure we made the most of our time in town! I cannot remember another hotel stay where I could name more than 1-2 people on the staff - this team truly made us feel welcomed and valued! Thank you for a such a great experience!
