Best Monteverde Spa Hotels

We really liked this place. It is not top end luxury, but it is clean, comfortable and has a very convenient location. The nature trail, common areas, pool area and gardens are all very well maintained. The included breakfast was also very high quality and the reception staff were all very welcoming and friendly. We would happily stay here again. The only minor complaint is that food prices in the restaurant were a little high, but it's not a big issue given there are many places to eat close by that offer better value.

This hotel was recommended by a friend and we are so glad to have stayed here for 2 nights. Our room was Mountain View and fairly high up in the 700’s. Definitely ask for 600 or higher room for better view. You are so high up that you’ll be eye level with clouds - very cool. We had wildlife coati visit outside the room and the floor to ceiling glass windows were awesome for watching that. There is no AC or heat but it isn’t necessary- nice and cool up in the mountains and they provide extra blankets if needed. They also have their own private reserve at the top of the property so the night tour walk can be done on premise. My only complaint is that the wifi wasn’t strong but that’s expected in the mountains however it kept kicking us out and we’d have to log in constantly. Other than that the view was just simply amazing.

The environment is really good, hotel catering is not expensive, but with a 13% tax and a 10% service charge. Two people have a meal of about 70 knives.
