Homewood Suites by Hilton Montreal Midtown

The hotel was clean. The service was not good. I have severe allergies to dust and feathers and had to make sure the room was prepared for our arrival. I called the hotel and spoke with the receptionist, who swore he had recorded this request on the reservation. I followed up with email correspondence for the same reason, and the reception manager advised in writing that the room would be prepared properly. I also put the request on my reservation at Trip.com. When we arrived, the reception had no idea about the request, and they don't have access to the request notes on the reservation at Trip.com. We wasted about an hour of our vacation time and had to cancel visiting some places we wanted to see in the city. The reception offered us free drinks while we waited, which we appreciated. The hotel has only one tiny pillow per guest, which caused me some neck pain, which I am still suffering from a week later after the trip. One day they forgot to clean our room, and I had to call down for fresh towels. The service lady came about an hour later and was very nice and helpful. The reception was aware of all the issues but never offered to find additional hypoallergenic pillows or any compensation for forgetting to clean our room.

The facility is nice, and I have enjoyed being there on my many trips to Canada. This time around, they dropped the ball. I arrived at the facility at 0900 hours from an early international flight. I do understand that checking does not start until 1500 hours. I went to the desk and they advised that there were no rooms available; from what she explained, there was a wedding the night prior, and no room was available. The lady at the desk suggested I check back at 1200 hours. At 1200 hours, I checked back and she said a room was available but there was no staff to clean the room and made a very insensitive comment " If you WERE THAT eager to check in, you could have booked somewhere else." Are you kidding me? How dared she talk to a customer like that? I was getting a SUITE priced at 400 Canadian dollars. Anyway, I waited, and was able to finally get into my suite at 1400 hours. NOT SURE WHAT HAPPENED THIS TIME.

Midtown location is convenience. It is clean and comfortable. Little kitchen and a big fridge very helpful. Parking 19 dollars per day. Good view!

The front desk staff are very friendly and the location is great with abundant nearby shopping and close to metro if you need to hit downtown area

It was our 5th or 6th time at this hotel We choose this hotel due its location near our family. We had two big rooms one was great as they upgraded us for free to a suite, the other was on Décarie which is a pretty noisy main highway, they moved us to our request to a side room which still bordered on Décarie, could only sleep with earplugs. What ever you do ask for room facing the back of the Hotel. Staff is very friendly and accommodating, breakfast buffet was mediocre but sufficient and due to previous experience we new what do expect. There is a supermarket and Starbucks near by which upgrades the experience. Most likely will return again.

A very tidy and clean hotel with parking facility.. Good café and food stalls close to hotel... Excellent
