This internet-famous guesthouse truly lives up to its reputation, with a total of 24 rooms. The biggest drawback is the number of stairs and the lack of an elevator, but everything else is excellent! Location: It's situated next to the Balinghe Bridge in Guanling, about a 15-20 minute drive from the main Huangguoshu scenic area. Ambiance: It's a popular guesthouse located in a small, charming village. The air is filled with the scent of mugwort. The 4th-floor observation deck is perfect for watching both sunsets and sunrises. You'll hear roosters crowing in the morning. Facilities: Be prepared to climb stairs, as the highest floor is the 4th. There is a dedicated luggage elevator for your bags. The rooms are spacious, the bedding is comfortable, and the air conditioning is powerful but a bit noisy (earplugs are provided by the hotel). There's a self-service laundry room with two washing machines and two dryers, along with laundry pods. Service: The butler-style service is prompt and friendly. I really appreciated the small farewell gift upon check-out. Cleanliness: Very good. Restaurant: They offer a buffet breakfast, à la carte lunch, and dinner requires advance ordering and reservation, with a notification when it's ready. The cocktails at the bar are excellent.

Comfortable and Convenient Stay with Thoughtful Host We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room is new and modern. However, shower room tiling can be improve further for one of the family room toilet. But the other toilets in the other rooms are good. The location is good, near the second entrance of Huang Guo Shu Waterfall which only opens for day trip. It has MacDonald & bubble tea shop nearby for comfort food. However, it is a 20 min walk from the main ticketing entrance for foreigners for day and evening tickets. Though it is quite a distance, but it is better than getting stuck in the heavy traffic during this peak season. Talking a stroll, passing by the restaurants are ok. The owner is fantastic — they assisted us with one parcel collection from Taobao, which was a huge help since collecting them ourselves would have been inconvenient. They also send our family out to the main road as our 9 seater big bus is not able to enter the small lane to the homestay. To walk to the main road, there is a staircase which is about 1 min walk up. Ok for young and young seniors, but may not be very suitable for very old people with walking difficulties. Overall, this is a highly recommended stay for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and a host who goes the extra mile!

I rarely write reviews, but this hotel was a pleasant surprise. The owner provided excellent service. Since it was the off-season and there were vacant rooms, the owner generously upgraded our room and even offered free shuttle service to and from the scenic area, which saved us a lot of hassle. Each room also comes with a washing machine, which was quite unexpected. If I had to pick a downside, it would be that the light switches in the room were a bit confusing, and the toilet flush was so strong it caused some splashing. I hope the hotel continues its great work and dedicated management.

The environment here is superb, with excellent views of the waterfall and the bridge! The facilities are complete, and all the guest amenities are exquisite and high-quality. The chef at the restaurant has great skills; the savory and tender grilled fish is definitely worth trying. The price isn't cheap, but I feel it's well worth it! Remember to bring your swimsuit if you plan to experience the infinity pool.

This hotel is excellent! It's very close to the attractions, and the service is great. It's a new hotel with good facilities. I specifically chose this one because it's right next to the scenic area and they offer a VIP shuttle service to the Huangguoshu Falls entrance, which is super convenient. All the staff members are very friendly. The front desk attendant who checked us in was lovely, and especially on the day of check-out, we needed to get to the First Tourist Center. We had used the VIP shuttle service on previous days, but when I called to request it for check-out, the car wasn't dispatched. I'm not sure why it worked fine the two days before but not on the last day. I explained the situation to the front desk, and a young man there, after understanding our predicament, immediately consulted with his supervisor and arranged for the hotel's own car to take us to the First Tourist Center (since I was traveling with my parents and it would have been difficult with luggage). I particularly want to thank the staff member named Tian Di; his attitude was excellent, and he was able to help us solve an unexpected problem, showing great initiative. Both hardware and software are crucial for a good hotel, and Manxin Mansion is fantastic. I'll definitely stay here again if I have the chance!

Extremely satisfied with my stay! It was my first time visiting Huangguoshu Waterfall, and I hadn't booked tickets in advance. When I found out all the tickets were sold out, I was really worried. However, the kind gentleman at the front desk noticed my distress and empathetically helped us resolve the issue by making calls and arrangements. We were very touched! The next morning, we went to the scenic area and underestimated how crowded it would be, so we ended up checking out after 12 PM. After contacting the front desk, they were very helpful and extended our checkout time to 1 PM. This hotel is not only clean and tidy, but their warm and attentive service is truly unforgettable! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Huangguoshu Waterfall; you won't be disappointed 😊 Their hotpot is also excellent!

Fantastic hotel situated in an incredibly well-preserved Ming dynasty village. Our hosts were very accommodating and the room was fantastic - very clean and a comfortable bed! There are many things to see here, including a Buddhist temple of 500 years one of the mountains the town in nestled beneath. Far different from the new old towns we saw in Lijiang and shangri-la, this village is the real deal and just unbelievable to walk through and explore. We also enjoyed walking down to the nearby town outside the gates. The Karst mountains in this area are extremely dramatic and beautiful to behold. There is a speciality coffee shop and a place to get breakfast near the gate - we suspect that we were visiting outside of peak time as it was generally quiet but that suited us just fine. The host made us wonton and dumpling soup in a vegetable broth which was very nice. The hosts are very kind and they have prepared a wonderful place from which to explore this very special village. It is about a 40 minute taxi from Anshun West station and 20-30 minute taxi into Anshun city. Thank you!

This hotel boasts an excellent location, less than a 5-minute walk from the No. 3 sightseeing bus stop, which is the closest stop to the scenic area. The hotel facilities are very new, and the management style resembles that of a large chain hotel. Room service is handled by robots. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the bed is very comfortable and spacious. The hotel has its own underground parking lot, making it very convenient for those traveling by car. There's a food street right across from the hotel, so dining is super easy. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Huangguoshu. On our first day, we entered the park around 3 PM, avoiding the peak crowds. We visited the Great Waterfall, Doupotang, and even got a bird's-eye view, and there weren't many people around. On the second day, we woke up early and took the sightseeing bus to Tianxingqiao around 6:40 AM. It was very uncrowded, and there was no congestion at all. We had finished our visit and returned to the hotel by 9:30 AM. This off-peak travel strategy was fantastic. Huangguoshu Waterfall is definitely worth a visit; it's truly magnificent. The hotel's excellent location also contributed greatly to our experience.

Upon arrival, I received a complimentary room upgrade. The hotel offers a shuttle service to Huangguoshu Waterfall, and it's also a convenient 10-15 minute walk to the entrance. The staff were very welcoming. The only downside was the rather basic breakfast.

Hefayuan Hotel Stay Experience My overall experience at Hefayuan Hotel was very pleasant. The location is convenient for getting around. I stayed in a twin room. The room was spacious and well-organized, with two neat beds and soft, comfortable bedding that ensured a good night's sleep. The window offered an open view of the surrounding scenery, and the room had good natural light and ventilation. The amenities were comprehensive; the air conditioning ran steadily, and facilities like the TV and kettle were all available, meeting everyday travel needs. The decor was simple yet elegant, and the room was clean and tidy with good maintenance down to the details. The soundproofing was decent, and the environment was quiet and not noisy, allowing for undisturbed rest. The only minor drawback was that the bedding was a bit wrinkled; it would have been better if it had been smoothed out. Overall, it offers excellent value for money. The facilities are complete, the environment is quiet, and it's convenient for travel and dining. It's suitable for business trips or temporary stays, making it a top-notch choice for accommodation in the area. I'll definitely consider staying here again on my next trip.
