When we walked around the village, we found other B&Bs under construction. It turned out that the host was helping to build houses for others. . The proprietress' cooking skills are very good, hotel-level. Our two families, four adults and two children, went out to play together. When the boss saw it, he took the initiative to upgrade us to a large suite, two independent suites plus a living room in the middle, and a small yard in front of the door. Excellent facilities, luxurious and clean room with great view of the rice terraces from balcony. Air con was powerful enough to keep room cool in day time and warm and snug at night. All the staff were generous, kind and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and varied. Barbecue meat dinner outside in camp chairs was delicious and fun. Bonfire at night in the front courtyard. The camp looks dreamy at night time with lights on, peaceful with only sound you can hear is water trickling on the rice terraces and frogs in them croaking. Entrance to Jiuqu Yunhuan rice terrace scenic area is less than 5mins walk. Worth getting up early to see the sun rise as the terraces look the best in the morning as the light simmers off the water (in Spring). Thanks to the boss who helped us with our luggage and gave a lift to the cable car station on our way down. Would definitely stay again!

We loved our weekend stay here as a quiet and green nature getaway from Shanghai (3hr train ride). We arrived late in the evening, but the provided taxi service from Qingtian was great (40mins, 80rmb). Our host Nancy was so sweet, spoke great English, made us wonderful coffees and even took us on a little tour of the village and vegetable gardens. The accomodation is in a small village with 500yo houses, where mostly elderly people still live. We went on two nice 2-3hrs hikes, to the waterfalls and temple and towards another village. Food was great too: lovely rice flake porridge and many other things for breakfast, free tea and snacks, and in the evening we got a lovely noodle soup. Our lastminute vegetarian request was easily accomodated. Bed and shower were lovely and a good heater was provided to warm the room. Would definitely recommend, we hope to come back in spring to see the flower fields!
