Great
PPotatoVoyageI had a delightful two-night stay at Shangri-La Penang! The lush greenery and big old trees provided lovely shade, creating a relaxing atmosphere while I sit near the pool or beach. The beach offered nice sunset view, but I am unsure if it’s swimmable
We stayed in the Rasa Wing room, which came with lounge access and complimentary cocktails in the evening. The staff were warm and friendly, making us feel right at home.
While the hotel shows some age, it’s clear they’re working hard to maintain everything. Overall, it was a wonderful getaway, and recommend 👍🏻
Our Rasa Garden room had some water flow / plumbing noises (from the ceiling), even when we are not using the bathroom. Not sure if it’s because of old age building / old building design.
AAnonymous UserOverall the experience of the stay is good
The space is big, clean and the facility etc. fridge, water dispenser, washing machine, dryer…..are new and nice.
The view from the suite was beautiful too
LLau Kai WenThis hotel is surrounded with those famous foods, even though I have no time to explore around since it’s a business trip, but here is the food that I got. The room is big and comfy too
JJess CollinsMy friends and I stayed for 3 nights in a Family room. Room layout was great, perfect for what we needed for 3 friends, two of whom were working remotely while in Penang. Nice view from the window. The bathroom was a good size - looked to be a handicap accessible bathroom - but no hooks for hanging anything, and the shower head couldn't be moved up high enough, so it was awkward. Good temperature and pressure, though. Hallways were run down and dirty looking. We booked this hotel also for the breakfast option as well, but that wasn't great - ”hot” food was not actually kept hot despite being in chafing pans that could very well have been heated. Toaster was broken on the 2nd day so one friend had cold bread with butter (probably margarine). Breakfast was set to run from 7am to 10:30am; we went down at around 9am the first morning. The noodle dish was already run out, and we were told there would be no more. Coffee was good and hot. It was fine but overall disappointing. It was an okay stay but not great, and I'm not sure it was worth the price paid. I dont think I'd stay again unless some improvements were made.
JJulianaThe room is clean and comfortable. They do provide some basic things such as water, coffee and toiletries. They also provide fridge, washing machine, and can also do some simple cooking in the room.
The location is strategic and is easy to locate this apartment. The staffs are friendly and nice.
For family and business travelers are very suitable.
GGuest UserStayed at Tropicana apartment last night , the view was beautiful, the place was comfortable, and it was nice and quiet. Really enjoyed the stay
AAlice39@wonderlandMy stay Urban Suites at was fantastic, and the self-check-in process made it even better! The instructions were clear and easy to follow, allowing me to settle in seamlessly without any hassle, even though I arrived late in the afternoon.
The property itself was cozy, clean, and thoughtfully designed to make guests feel right at home. The room was well-equipped with all the essentials, and the attention to detail was impressive.
What I loved most was the perfect balance between privacy and convenience. The self-check-in system gave me the freedom to come and go as I pleased.
The location was excellent, close to key attractions and local amenities. It was the perfect base for exploring while still offering a quiet and peaceful retreat.
Overall, it exceeded my expectations. The self-check-in feature made everything so smooth, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a stress-free and comfortable stay.
5/5 stars!
GGuest UserI had a pleasant stay at the hotel, which was well situated a minute or so off the main road so was fairly quiet. The reception staff were kind and helpful and the room was quiet and clean and comfortable and good value. Ideal for a solo traveller.
